We have a single father in need of help making medical and SoonerStart appointments, as well as family time and other activities taking place out of town on a weekly basis. This dad is working very hard towards reunification but is struggling making it to appointments due to lack of a physical planner making it difficult to keep track of the many appointments this child requires. Additionally, this dad is struggling financially due to the frequent gas it takes getting out of town where the child currently lives multiple times a week. This dad is also asking for any books or resources that could aid him in understanding typical development for a 12 month old/as she grows, parenting a child with special needs, and anything else that may help as he navigates this for the first time. The children are in an out of home safety plan while the parents work hard engaging in services and correcting conditions so that the children can return to their home. This safety plan monitor has sacrificed much to have the children stay with her to allow the parents to work a prevention case and to prevent the children from entering foster care. However, this monitor recently lost her phone service due not having enough fund because of the increased cost of having more children in her home. This monitor relies on her phone services to set up rides to and from doctor appointments and other appointments. This also allows her to coordinate visits with the kids and their parents. A 14-year-old boy's school laptop he had prior to entering foster care was never returned. After multiple placement changes, he is back in his original school district although he is placed in a foster home. The school district is requiring a payment of $75 for the replacement of his lost laptop. Assistance in covering this expense would be extremely helpful to his foster parents.
