A developmentally delayed 17-year-old girl who lives in a group home would like a TV and DVD player for her bedroom. Watching TV is a positive coping mechanism as it helps her relax by refocusing her attention. Having a TV in her own room would allow her to avoid arguments with the other girls over the communal TV and give her more of an incentive to disengage and regulate herself in her room when she's overstimulated by the activity in the home instead of becoming reactive in a negative manner.
At the group home, there is no cable or streaming capabilities, hence the need for a DVD player. We've included links for combo TV/DVD players below to simplify her setup but would accept separate devices as well. The primary limitation is that the size of the TV cannot exceed 32".

A set of grandparents are currently caring for their grandchild due to various concerns for the child in the care of their parents. The grandparents are needing a crib for the child as the parents did not provide them with one. The grandparents do not need to be burdened with the extra cost if child welfare and the Careportal can assist them with this.

A family needs a toddler bed, mattress, and bedding for their 2 year old daughter. Currently their daughter is sleeping with them in their bed or on a pallet on the floor. They are doing the best they can to provide for the needs of their family and a toddler bed would give their child a space of her own to sleep for safety and comfort. Worker priced beds on Walmart.com. Toddler beds range from $40 to $75, Crib mattresses $35 to $40, and Toddler bedding $25 to $35 (a crib sheet and blanket would be okay too)

Kinship family in need of assistance with rent and utilities. They also need help with new tires and an oil change for the one vehicle they own. Dad was working two jobs to try to make ends meet. Mom is also working. They have limited resources and ability to get to resources which could help them. Any help would be appreciated. The family just started getting any type of reimbursement for the child in the home and the child has been there for 6 months due to the work schedule of the family and the family needing to work and causing them unable to complete training.

This family is currently in their aftercare services after the children were reintegrated into her home in June 2023. Mom recently had to move into a new home and is in need of a few household items. Such as a toilet plunger, full size bed, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. These items will help mom preserve permanency for these children and ensure they are in a safe environment. Mom is currently working with what she has to meet the needs of the children but these things would help her financially so she doesn't have to go get them all herself and can pay for other expenses for the children such as diapers, wipes, and her household bills.
Single mother of two children is needing a couch. She has been able to purchase beds for her children but needs some living room furniture for their new home.
