There is a husband and a wife that agreed to take in all five of the wife's grandchildren. Two of the grandchildren aren't biologically related to her, but despite that she was more than willing to take in all five children so that the siblings wouldn't be separated. The family has been able to provide these children with all of the items that they need with no notice of these children coming into care and needing placement. The three youngest children have a bedroom with a closet and dresser for their belongings to go. But the two oldest don't have a dresser for their clothes yet. We are asking for someone to be able to donate a dresser for the two older girls so that they will have a place for their clothes to go. Having this dresser provided will bring even more stability into their lives as they are making the transition to living with their grandparents. This will also help make getting ready into the morning for school an easier and normal process. Help would be truly appreciated!
We have a young Aunt on the road to fostering her sweet niece. Aunt is working, but due to illnesses, both Aunt and Niece are at home sick and Aunt and Aunt does not get sick pay. The organization is needing help providing a 14-year-old male, placed in DCF custody, with a dental procedure.
The child is needing a root canal re-done and his health insurance will not pay for the procedure.
The procedure will repair the child's damaged tooth and the child will no longer be in pain or have sensitivity issues.
The child does not have a parent that would be able to assist in the cost.
We have a single Grandmother on the road to adoption of her grandson while still caring for her own son with special needs. Grandmother is only working part-time right now due to the needs and schedules of the two children and very little to no support system. With holidays around the corner, the family is in dire need of assistance with bills. We are desperately seeking help for this Grandmother so that they can get through the Holidays and finish the adoption of her grandson without delay. ANY amount to this family will be helpful at this time. We know this is a large need but are believing this family will make it through. If you feel led to help this family in any way, please reach out to us so that we can connect with you. Thank you.

A single mother with a toddler recently began having car issues and had to put her car in the shop. This mother has worked very hard to get out of a domestically violent relationship. She has done everything that has been asked of her and more in order to get her child back home. She was able to fast track her case because of how hard she worked. She just recently got her daughter back home. Her daughter was sick and could not go to daycare. The mother had to stay home from work to take care of her child. Due to the mother staying home, she was laid off from her job. She is searching for a new job now and doing delivery driving in order to make ends meet. She has reached out for help getting her car out of the shop in order to continue taking care of her child.

I have a high school student who is in need of a graphing calculator. The family can not afford to purchase one and we have looked at several pawn Shops and other platforms to find one for the child. This would help the child with her math and homework which in turn gets her better grades and hope for a college scholarship. It does not have to be new if someone had a used one that works, that would be great.
Platte County has a small food pantry cabinet that needs restocked. We are requesting non-perishable, but microwavable items. Such as Chef Boyardee cups/meals, mac-n-cheese cups, Hormel Complete Meals, etc.; also peanut butter and jelly are good options. Please nothing that has to be refrigerated or frozen as we do not have space to keep that and neither do some families. Please nothing that requires added ingredients, except water.

These loving grandparents have become a kinship placement for 5 of their grandchildren all at one time. As you can imagine, this is a very big adjustment but one they are willing to do. It's getting cold outside and they could really use some assistance with new or gently used clothing for the young children. Thank you for anything that you can help with. They will be so extremely grateful.

The family has just paid all their bills, but has little money left over for groceries and to fill up their gas tank to get to work. If you feel like you can assist the family in obtaining groceries or any assistance let me know and I will be happy to connect you.

Mother is a single mom of 5 children living in a hotel, they are currently looking for a place to live but all their belongings are in storage to which they have fallen behind in rent on. Requesting funds for this bill so that they don't lose everything they have for when they do find a place.
Requesting $350 to pay for the back rent due on the storage unit
A single father is caring for five children ages 14, 9, 6, 2, and 1. This parent is utilizing every resource offered to him, maintains full time employment, and works overtime when he can. At this time, the children's other parent does not contribute to any of the costs relating to the children, placing a heavy financial burden on the father. The father's landlord notified him of an increase in rent that occurred months ago, putting the family about $1,200 behind in rent. This landlord has threatened eviction. Without housing the family is at risk of becoming homeless, right before the holidays. Homelessness will place the children at an increased risk of harm. This father has been covering the cost of food, clothing, daycare, transportation, and housing on his own for over four months. He communicates regularly with the children's schools and daycares, therapists, DHHS caseworker, and a family support worker. It is clear that this father loves his children and is willing to do anything he can for them, but with the combined stressors of being a single parent and this unexpected expense of overdue rent, he feels overwhelmed and defeated. Any contribution towards these rental payments would make a huge difference in the lives of this family.
