Family that has fallen on hard times. This bill is due today.

Hello all, I am hoping you can help a very dear family. They are 5 adults and 2 children, living in a household that are looking for rental assistance. The family had to leave a previous location due to being uninhabitable, and the previous landlord did not correct the issues. The family has exhausted other resources by staying with other family members and was even homeless for a day. The family was able to obtain a They were able to find a place to stay, but are in need of deposit for the rental by this Saturday (2 days from now). The deposit is $1500. The family is unable to come up with the deposit due to fixing their vehichle which is their only mean for transportation, allowing them to work. Meeting this immediate need for this family will allow them to maintain shelter.

We have grandparents fostering their grandson and on the road to adoption in a few months. Due to the child receiving disability, the grandparents are not receiving a regular stipend. The grandparents are on a fixed income and do not have a lot of extra money. The family needs some groceries for their nephew as school is about to let out for the summer and they will have an extra meal to prepare each day. If you can help this family, please reach out. Mother has worked diligently towards correcting the conditions which led to her son's removal last year. Mother hit the ground running to make every effort to initiate all things asked of her by her case worker and the courts. Mother has maintained housing, fully engaged in her court ordered treatment plan, and is able to share how the information discussed with her service providers has impacted her life and how she can now utilize these lessons in her day to day life as she navigates relationships in her life, stress, and parenting her toddler. As a result of the her hard work, the mother and son are now having overnight visitations and will soon enter trial reunification! Mother has been out of work, for over a year, but recently started work over the last month. Mother does not have her own transportation and walks roughly 45 minutes each day one way in the unpredictable Oklahoma weather conditions. Mother could benefit from 2-3 pairs of black work pants and a 1-2 more pairs of comfortable non/anti slip shoes as she works on her feet all day. Additionally, mother needs a lock box in order to keep her medications safely secured from her curious toddler. Currently the medication is stored on top of a high shelf, but a lockbox would be an added benefit to keep her medications stored safely and give her peace of mind. Any help to support this family would be greatly appreciated by myself and the family :)

A kinship placement was found for an Oklahoma teen with her great-aunt in Illinois. We are very appreciative that the aunt stepped up to care for her niece. Accepting placement of a child into the home comes with added expenses. The aunt needs assistance obtaining a bed and dresser for the child to keep her in the home. Service providers in the area were unable to provide the items. Obtaining a bed and dresser would help keep this placement stable and keep this kiddo with family. Please take note, the family lives in Illinois and the ability for an in-person connection is not possible. The items would need to be shipped. Thank you for considering helping our Oklahoma child!

We are currently working with a kinship foster home who has taken in a 10 year old boy. The family is working hard on getting fully approved and connecting the child to appropriate needs. The family is needing support with a bill until they are consistently receiving assistance from DHS. If you feel that you can support the family in this need let me know and I would be happy to connect.

Please help a little girl enjoy two weeks of summer camp after a very stressful year. Her third foster placement has proven to be a very good place for her to heal and be loved. She has been through a lot of trauma in her short 7 years. Her foster parents have expressed they need help with the cost. It will be a total of $260 ($130 per week). They would really appreciate the assistance. Payment would be made directly to the camp. Family YMCA Member weekly rate $130
Camp runs from May 27 to August 13 and foster family would like to sign her up for two weeks. Camp offers swimming, art, games, field trips, crafts, and more.

Good afternoon, Care Portal! We are walking alongside a family from Afghanistan facing some health challenges that could benefit from a few items, in particular a washer, dryer and a stroller. These items can definitely be used in good condition! This family is very sweet and the father is awaiting surgery in the next few months and unable to work. They have a 1 & 1/2 year old daughter. Foster parent currently has her foster child at her place of employment in the mornings for two hours prior to school starting. However, due to the child's complex medical and behavioral needs, the child has had a difficult time adjusting to this arrangement. The child would benefit from attending her school's early morning child care for the remainder 3 weeks of school which would give her a great opportunity to connect with peers and have her needs met.

I have been working with a family taking them food. I also got them some help getting a portion of their electric bill paid. The student is a plus size kid that needs 5x t-shirts. The locations I have access too did not have any t-shirts in his size. A 3 pack of t-shirts on amazon is approximately $40 for his size. He has clothing but most of what he has is torn or full of holes. He gets picked on at school because of it and causes him to get in trouble or not attend school.

We are in a need of a new or gently used twin size bunk beds for two brothers ages 7 & 5 . They are already in trial reunification with their mother and CASA learned the boys are sharing a bed. Mother has limited income and is unsure when she'll be able to purchase bunk beds. While there is no current safety issue, the team agrees it is more appropriate for them to have their own sleeping space and have a sense of privacy. We have already reached out to other community partners with no luck. It would be a blessing if someone is able to donate bunk bed frame with mattress. We have a very loving family that is waiting on home approval and has not yet received stipend. Resource parent is having a very rough financial month and is asking for help with getting child placed some clothes. Resource parent stated child does not have any summer clothes such as, shorts and short sleeve shirts. Child wears size 5 in boys bottoms/shorts and size 6 boys shirts.
