We have a young, single mother of 3 children (ages 1, 4 and 5). She is experiencing unstable housing and financial stress. The mother is a victim of domestic violence and is trying to keep her children sheltered and safe from harm. The mother has been residing with the maternal grandmother in a single unit apartment with the children. The MGM put the mother and children out on yesterday and stole the mother’s food stamps from her EBT card. The mother is not able to purchase any food for herself and the children. She was able to get a room in Hollywood through PATH and is awaiting placement in a DV shelter. DCFS and the agencies involved with this family are working tirelessly to find a residence the mother and children. The mother can be reached on her cell phone and the CSW is able to correspond with the mother accordingly. We are hoping that a donor will pick up this request and provide the family with a $300.00 grocery gift card or purchase food for the family so that the mother and children do not go hungry.

We have a mother who has a six-month old baby that is teething. The mother is very resilient and is thriving with all of her programs she is involved in. She is a domestic violence survivor and is using her experience to build and grow within her life. She is in therapy to address the concerns that brought her family to the attention of the Department. She is a domestic violence survivor. She is a good mother who truly cares for her daughter. During our meetings the baby is always smiling and giggling. Recently, the baby began teething and is in need of hypoallergenic-silicon weaning cups, baby spoons, feeding set, and food making system (NutriBullet). I am in hopes that some of these items can possibly make it to her.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Father is receiving Family Reunification services for his young son. He is requesting assistance with purchasing a Tracfone BLU View 5 pre-paid phone from Target to communicate with child, caregivers and social worker. Father is currently unemployed and is financially struggling as a single parent.

Mother has finished all of her services and is awaiting her final judgement. Her last obstacle is paying off her traffic tickets. The current amount owed is $637.00. Taking care of this debt would help her get her driver's license back and allow her to drive her children and potentially work as an Uber driver. She is struggling financially and does not have the means to pay her tickets.

This is a father with current child welfare involvement. Father has one child that is currently released in his care. The department has informed the father that he needs two dressers in order to prevent a cluttered home environment. If father is blessed with the two dressers, it will prevent the department from having concerns in the future and allow the father to move forward with the closing of his case. Current non-minor dependent recently moved into an apartment with his dog. He isn't able to work right now due to an injury so he is tight on cash. He needs a couch and refrigerator. He would be much more comfortable with those items and could focus on healing properly.

The family has a history of homelessness. The family just recently moved into a new apartment. Mother and the children have no furniture nor beds. The family is currently sleeping on the floor on top of blankets. Which it is very uncomfortable for the children to get a good night's rest and be prepared for school. The family does not have any couches or a dining room table. The mother will be greatly appreciative with assistance with beds or furniture for her new home, which will provide a safe and stable living home for the children. A Walmart gift card could assist with some bunkbeds or pull-out couch for the children to sleep on.

Mother and her two girls, aged 9 and 5, are starting over. There was trauma in the family, which caused the mother harm. She took advantage of therapy and this family is now living in a smaller, one bedroom unit. They are happy to have each other and would appreciate any items from their list. One of the girl's favorite color is purple and the other child likes pink and tiffany blue.

The family needs bedding, a microwave, a shower curtain/hooks, bath towels and a mini refrigerator

Mother has requested learning games for her twin daughters. The mother is in a group home trying to reunify with her daughters. The mother stated that these learning toys could be used during her visits with her daughter, so she could also interact with them.

We have a single mother with two children (ages 2 and 1). The mother and children reside in the home of a family friend, and they are in need of full-size bed with mattress. The mother is loving to her children, and both of the children are sweet, happy, playful and active children. The mother is always making sure her daughters needs are met. The children are very attached to the mother and feel very comfortable in her presence. The mother always reciprocates her love to her children by hugging them and reassuring their feelings. Currently, the mother does not have employment and is enrolled in school with the goal to be able to financially provide for her daughters. The family is in need of a bed required to avoid co-sleeping. The mother and the two children currently sleep in a twin-size bed. The family would benefit from a full-size bed. By fulfilling this request, it would allow the mother to focus her attention on her children and her schooling/education.

Single mother is requesting clothes and shoes for herself and her son. Mom is size 2XL in shirts and prefers sweat pants and sweat shirts/sweat suits. Son is size 10-12 in clothes (needs everyday wear) and size 6 in boys shoes. Thank you for considering this request :-)
