Currently working with a family that recently moved into a new place. Their 10-year-old child has several medical issues, such as a heart condition, heart murmur, leaky valve, and also deafness in the right ear. The child currently sleeps on a mattress on the floor and the family can benefit from a twin bed frame. Family is okay with an inexpensive frame, as long as it can keep the child's mattress from laying directly on the floor. The father is the only one working and can only ork limited hours, as the mother recently had her leg amputated. The father expressed the need for a washer and dryer (gas), as he will not be able to buy it in the near future.

The mother is currently in the process of remodeling the trailer where she is currently renting. At this time she has bought material to fix the bathroom shower and is in the process of pulling out the flooring from the trailer. Since the mother has limited funds we are asking for assistance is helping purchase stick on flooring in order to help the mother clear some of the hazards and exposed flooring in the bathrooms and the main kitchen. This will benefit the family as the mother's younger daughter has a 1 year old baby that does crawl on the floor.

Hello, we have a young adult who needs support in getting a gently used Chromebook/laptop. Our youth is currently attending school to obtain his high school diploma. Unfortunately, he is unable to get a computer from the school he is attending due to having limited availability at this time. He is able to get to school and use the computers there, but some days transportation is unavailable for him. He currently lives in Visalia, but the school he is attending is in Orosi. Online school has been the best option for him due to the commute along with his transportation barriers. He is on track to graduating this year! Thank you!

A 10 year old boy is in need of new clothing due to a recent growth spurt. The father and son live in Riverside County but the mother has an open CWS case in Tulare County. The father just recently lost his job and got in a car accident so they have no vehicle right now. The child is now size 12/14 in tops and bottoms. He wears size 4 in shoes. I am writing on behalf of a legal guardian (LG) who has recently taken custody of her 10-year-old grandson under challenging circumstances. The child was removed from his parents at the age of two due to severe substance misuse. He was subsequently placed in the care of his grandfather, who was part of a biker gang. During that time, the child was exposed to domestic violence and ongoing substance misuse. Despite the instability, he developed a strong bond with his grandfather, who sadly passed away about a year ago, leaving the child without a caregiver.

In November 2024, the LG—his grandmother—stepped in and was officially granted custody. To provide full-time care, she made the difficult decision to retire early and now lives on a fixed Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This has placed a significant financial strain on her household.

One of the few joyful and comforting routines that the LG and her grandson share is their movie nights together. Unfortunately, their television recently broke, and due to limited income, she is unable to afford a replacement. A donated television would greatly enhance their quality of life, offering a bit of comfort and normalcy in a time of major transition and healing.

Mom is a single mother who is in Family Maintenace, and the family is in desperate need of washer. Mom has been progressing towards case dismissal. She is showing tremendous changes in behavior to provide a safe stable environment for her children. Unfortunately, recently mom's washer completely broke down and she is in desperate need of getting a used or new washer. Mom is on a fixed limited income and buying a washer is not possible. I am looking for anyone who would be willing to donate a new or used washer that is in working condition so that and her 6 children could have clean clothes. Thank you!

A single mother is in need of furnishing her new apartment. The mother has been unhoused for the last 9 months. The mother has a newborn baby (girl) and is expected to move forward next week to unsupervised/overnight visits with her two other children aged 5 (boy) and 9 (girl). The mother has stated that she does not have the funds available to furnish the home due to currently being on maternity leave. The Agency is currently working with a single father of 3 children under Family Reunification Services. The father has been complying with the Agency and complying with his case plan and has progressed to having overnight visits with his children. The father has his own business however business has been slow for him lately and the father is in need of a twinXL size bed for his oldest child. The father has been working hard to provide for his children when he can. Additionally, the Agency would like to help out the father with his business by assisting him with a laptop so he can better keep up with his business, get more clients, and communicate with his client better.

This family is requesting assistance with the removal of a jacuzzi that has lifted out of the ground and a collapsed pergola structure that is over the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi and pergola have been in the family’s backyard for many years. Unfortunately, the family was not able to upkeep the required maintenance. As result the jacuzzi was drained and not in service. The structure of the pergola deteriorated over time. After the heavy rainfall of 2023, the jacuzzi lifted out of the ground and the pergola structure collapsed. This household consists of one adult that has a limited capacity and is not able to work at this time. As a result, the limited income received is used to meet their essential needs. They are not able to afford the cost of a haul-off service. Your aid in addressing this issue for the family will help make a relative foster care placement and keep a family together.

At this time I have a bio mother who is requesting assistance from her local community. The mother is getting all six children returned back to her and has requested assistance in obtaining a few items from her local community as she is unable to afford the following due to drastic change: two bunks beds, mattresses, sheets, comforters, and pillows. The mother expressed she is also going to school which is taking more of moms income which is why she is unable to afford the mentioned above items. This is a two (2) part request. I am currently working with a mother who has two children in her care, under Family Maintenance. One child is sixteen (16) years old, and the other child is two (2) years old. The mother has expressed there is something wrong with her vehicle, but is uncertain of what it is. The mother has two (2) part time jobs, but does not have the financial means to take it to a mechanic or shop to have the car inspected. The Agency is hoping there is someone who is a mechanic/is knowledgeable about cars and willing to provide their time in order to inspect the car and identify what is wrong with it. After identifying the issue, it would be appreciated if someone could help purchase/fix the car as it is her source of transportation. Should this need it met, the mother can continue to work in order to pay her bills, transport the children to their doctor/dental appointments, buy groceries etc.
