Hello! I have a single mom in need of financial assistance with replacing the windshield on her vehicle. The estimated online cost for this repair through Safelite autoglass is $364.98. This will be the first step to helping mom get stable with her newborn baby because this will allow her to have reliable transportation to work, daycare, and appointments. Please let us know if this is something you can help with.
We are currently experiencing a shortage of baby wipes and formula to give low-income families participating in family preservation. We can use sensitive wipes for sensitive bottoms and all brands of formula are appreciated. Updated on January 19, 2023 by an Agency Worker Please keep in mind that no donation is too small and every donation is an investment in the lives and well-being of at-risk families. What an amazing thing it is to show people that they are loved by their community -- to show them HOPE. Updated on January 25, 2023 by an Agency Worker We are short $800 in filling this need to restock essential items for our most vulnerable clients. If you are looking to help multiple families at once, please consider donating towards this need. Thank you!

An expecting mother of two is in need of a Queen box spring. The mother has been unable to work due to her pregnancy and is not able to afford a box spring on her own. She is worried that after she gives birth, she will have difficulty get up and down from the mattress on the floor. Having a box spring would provide this mother and her two children that sleep with her a safe place to sleep and less complications once she gives birth.

4 year old little boy was placed with his aunt and her 2 young children. Aunt has had to buy a bed, bedding, clothes, and more groceries for this child and would love some help with purchasing more things he needs. She has to travel 80 miles round trip every week to take him to therapy sessions and take him to appointments that he needs, along with the normal family schedule. Any grocery and gas money would be very helpful!

DCCCA Family Preservation is asking for help from the community to replenish our supply of hygiene products in our donation pantry. These products will benefit low-income families in crisis due to the following real-life scenarios: domestic violence has caused a family to flee their home with only the clothes on their backs; a family is experiencing homelessness and does not know where their next meal is going to come from, much less how they are going to afford a bottle of shampoo or body wash; a parent has made the decision to go into substance abuse treatment to avoid losing their child/ren but cannot afford the essentials to take with them to the treatment facility; the child/ren are at risk of being placed in foster care due to showing up for school with poor or bad hygiene due to their single parent not having the means to buy hygiene products. We are grateful for any help from the community to support the basic needs of the families we serve. For your convenience, there three options to help meet part of this need: You may purchase items directly from our Walmart wish list: . You may purchase a Walmart gift card in-store or online and either mail or deliver to our address below. We have a single mom of 3 kiddos in need of assistance with formula for her baby. Mom has applied for food assistance but the process to be approved will take several weeks. The baby needs a large container of Enfamil, regular (yellow container). A walmart gift card would work as well if the actual item can't be donated. Thank you!
A mother is very close to reunifying with her children; she just needs one more bed! She would like a daybed or a bed that works as both a couch and a bed since she will be sleeping in the living room to make space for her children.
She would also like a Ring doorbell as a safety precaution to ensure the perpetrator of the children's abuse does not come to the home and to help the children feel more safe.

I have a mom on my caseload who is currently expecting. She is due 01/18. She is currently living in a women’s shelter and has recently informed me she does not have any baby clothes or diapers and wipes. Anything purchased or donated will be helpful.
A child in our care currently resides with his grandmother. The grandmother’s home is becoming unsafe to live and she needs to move as soon as possible. She found a place that accepts her section 8 voucher but she needs the deposit to help her secure it. Her deposit is $500 but I am only asking for $200 or however much you are able to give. This child loves being with his grandmother. Children’s Division doesn’t not want to separate the two because of the unsafe living environment. I am very appreciative of whatever is donated.

This request is to help a single teen mom to raise the remaining balance to get her own vehicle. She has saved the majority of the money but is needing some help with the remaining cost. This new to her car would be incredibly helpful for her independence.
She will be using the money to purchase her vehicle. This vehicle would be used to transport the youth and her daughter to and from appointments, daycare, work, and give them the freedom to go from place to place without needing to depend on others or the public transportation system.

A single mother in the KCK area needs assistance with home maintenance. The family's front door is too small for their door frame, so the front door cannot be shut or locked. The wind blows the door open and snow gets into the living room. A child also sleeps in the living room, and the family is worried about an intruder entering the home through this front door at night. The family is also asking for assistance with fixing or replacing a few overhead light fixtures in the home.

Single mom of four is working hard to provide for her family. Last week she took temporary custody of her deceased sibling’s teenage children. She is without transportation and has to Uber to work. A church partner has a minivan for sale that would greatly benefit this hard working mom! The cost of the van is $1500 but a donation of $2000 would cover taxes, titling, and initial insurance cost.
A single mother is approaching reintegration; however, she is in need of one more bed for her youngest child. She will also need bedding as well for the little boy.

Father of 3 needing assistance with paying for gas and groceries. The family has just recently gotten into an apartment after living between a car and a hotel for months. After utilities and rent were paid no money remains for gas to get the kids to summer school, to pick up groceries, and get Dad to work.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated
A family with 3 children is in need of assistance to pay for the father's surgery, so that they don't fall behind on rent. The father is the only source of income for the family, so recovering from surgery will also impact the family's income and ability to pay bills.
We responded to a CarePortal request for this family back in September. Bio family had just reintegrated with their two female children ages 5 and 4 and were needing help with rent and two dressers. We were able to connect on both of the needs and met this sweet family in person to deliver the items. Soon after, a car battery installation was needed and before we even had a chance to have one of our volunteers get over there to help, dad had already taken care of it himself. They have a strong desire to be independent.
We have been staying in touch with them and they recently let us know that the vehicle had broken down for good. Thankfully, they have another car they can use if the past due payment on it is made. They are able to afford the monthly payments on their own, they just need help getting caught up. Any amount is appreciated and will help get them closer to self-sufficiency again.
