Family that has fallen on hard times. This bill is due today.

Please consider helping a family of 6 currently struggling due to financial issues, health, and loss of employment. The mother has been out of work since November but recently was able to gain employment and started this past week but will not receive her first paycheck for a couple more weeks; the father is disabled and home with the children. The family recently moved in their grandmother that has been ill and had nowhere else to go, and she experienced a recent hospitalization due to her health. The family has 3 children, ages 5, 10, and 15. The family has been trying to stay afloat by paying when they can but are struggling to cover their water and electric bills for this month. The family could use assistance with their water bill ($305.08) and electric bill ($139.02). Support would allow the family to cover their rent and car expenses, without the risk of their utilities being shut off. The family expresses gratitude and would be thankful for any support.

Safe Families is working with a single mom of two year old boy recently fled from domestic violence situation and is in their own apartment. Mom is dealing with some medical issues that will require surgery soon and she is unable to work. The social security disability check was short this month, for reason still unknown. This left her short on rent and she was just given an eviction notice. Mom is taking steps to handle this issue to insure next months rent will be paid as usual. She is also working hard for the medical needs of her and her son. Helping support this family will keep them stable in their current living situation and prevent them from being homeless.

We have grandparents fostering their grandson and on the road to adoption in a few months. Due to the child receiving disability, the grandparents are not receiving a regular stipend. The grandparents are on a fixed income and do not have a lot of extra money. The family needs some groceries for their nephew as school is about to let out for the summer and they will have an extra meal to prepare each day. If you can help this family, please reach out. Mother has worked diligently towards correcting the conditions which led to her son's removal last year. Mother hit the ground running to make every effort to initiate all things asked of her by her case worker and the courts. Mother has maintained housing, fully engaged in her court ordered treatment plan, and is able to share how the information discussed with her service providers has impacted her life and how she can now utilize these lessons in her day to day life as she navigates relationships in her life, stress, and parenting her toddler. As a result of the her hard work, the mother and son are now having overnight visitations and will soon enter trial reunification! Mother has been out of work, for over a year, but recently started work over the last month. Mother does not have her own transportation and walks roughly 45 minutes each day one way in the unpredictable Oklahoma weather conditions. Mother could benefit from 2-3 pairs of black work pants and a 1-2 more pairs of comfortable non/anti slip shoes as she works on her feet all day. Additionally, mother needs a lock box in order to keep her medications safely secured from her curious toddler. Currently the medication is stored on top of a high shelf, but a lockbox would be an added benefit to keep her medications stored safely and give her peace of mind. Any help to support this family would be greatly appreciated by myself and the family :)

We have a foster mother that has really gone above and beyond to help a 13 year old boy with several disabilities, and there are 3 other children in the home. She's opened her home in order to take him in and even moved to the living room so that he can have her room instead. She's been struggling with some major home repairs and we've been unable to find help for those issues. We are asking for some help with her water/municipal utilities in order offset those other expenses. Her current water bill is $201 approx. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sweet Pre-teen foster kiddo is in between clothing sizes and with summer coming up she needs summer clothing and a swimsuit. The foster home has several kids in the home and needs assistance with purchasing clothing.

A father has worked incredibly hard to reunify with his biological daughter. She is thriving in the home, and her father continues to work as hard as he can to support her. As he continues to set her up with everything she needs. support in finding a dresser for her would be a big step in having her home come together and ensure she has everything she needs.

A young mother and survivor of domestic violence needs help paying for her EMT certification exam. This young mother was abused during pregnancy and as a result her baby has many health needs. To help support her child and to reunite with him from foster care, the mother wants to continue to pursue her EMT certification. She's already taken and passed all of the required classes; she just needs to take the exam and pay for her license. If you could help her, this would be a huge blessing for this determined mama.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their 2 month old granddaughter. The family is working hard to get fully approved and complete all items and has been taking great care of the child. The family has found bed bugs since taking the child placed and is needing help with some of the treatments for the baby's room and other rooms that they have not spread to. If you could assist with a partial amount of the treatment or if anyone knows of someone who might be able to take a look at it to make sure that family is getting a correct quote it would be greatly appreciated.

A kinship placement was found for an Oklahoma teen with her great-aunt in Illinois. We are very appreciative that the aunt stepped up to care for her niece. Accepting placement of a child into the home comes with added expenses. The aunt needs assistance obtaining a bed and dresser for the child to keep her in the home. Service providers in the area were unable to provide the items. Obtaining a bed and dresser would help keep this placement stable and keep this kiddo with family. Please take note, the family lives in Illinois and the ability for an in-person connection is not possible. The items would need to be shipped. Thank you for considering helping our Oklahoma child!

Single mom of 5 children (8 and under) with very little support has recently left a Domestic Violence relationship of 10 years. As a result, she is in need of car seats, stroller or wagon, beds (two sets of bunk beds and a single twin), a rug (to damper the noise), and a dining room table as she left all these behind. For the car seats she needs 3 five-point harness car seats and two booster seats. She is hoping for 2 sets of bunk beds and a single twin, with mattresses and bedding. She needs either a stroller or wagon to get to and from places with her three boys (twins who are 5 and special needs and a three-year-old boy). We are trying to support this mom in any way to help her realize she can do this on her own.
