The whole family is needing help... The mother and father have a blended family with 6 children all together and 1 on the way. They are in need of towels for bathing, especially for mom, dad and 15 year old daughter. Mom would like to have them all have their own preferably so no one has to share anymore. Mom does around 15-20 loads of laundry every week and towels take up a lot of space and she already doesn't have many. More are muchly needed.

Right now my family an I are experiencing homeless. We've been living in hotel rooms for the past 17 days an my personal funds are basically depleted. I have been actively seeking help for housing day in an day out but still nothing has come through. I will continue to use the resources given to me to hopefully find help its just been really difficult. age 6 years old 7-8t t-shirts, pants, and shorts, 10 years old girls medium 12 youth shorts and shirts, 15 years old waist 29-30 pants and men medium shirts.
Mom is needing help with kitchen items such as utensils, plates, bowls, cups.
They are currently expecting a newborn in 6 weeks, and the father in the home just recently got custody of his 15-year-old daughter, the mother is also trying to have her 3 children living with them permanently. They are needing more things in the kitchen due to more people being added to this household.

This is a family of a mom, dad, and 7 children. The parents have managed to stay together and work together, and have successfully gotten all of their children back home. They have a fully furnished home and the whole family has been transitioning and working through the bumps along the way with getting used to having everyone together again! The mother also is in recovery for substance use herself and has been on a very successful path. The dad is SO PATIENT and level headed when mediating and handling the kiddos, it's impressive (even after a day of work)! They have two non school age children and the parents have been unable to get them enrolled in daycare due to the financial barrier of the $100 registration fee (one time per family), despite having a daycare voucher all set up and ready to go. If the parents were able to get childcare for at least one of the children that there's an opening for right now, that would be a great start. The daycare has stated they'll have an opening for the 4 year old in the very near future and we'd like to get him there as they also have a Summer VPK program he will benefit greatly from! The other benefit of these parents having childcare for everyone is that they'll be able to have more effective sessions with me when I am working to get both of them on the same page. Whereas now, I tend to have to speak to one parent at a time because one of them is needed to keep up with the kids.
I will give the family / daycare name to the funder
Mom on this case is a single mom of two boys 12 and 6 years old. Mom has been living in a motel with her and her 2 sons since July 2022 due to loosing her job and home to the hurricane. The money request for rent will be for the family to continue to stay in the motel while mom awaits her tax return so she can purchase a mobile home. mom is currently struggling to get back on her feet, Mom is working at a nursing home as a CNA making 19 dollars a hour mom is working full time hours . Mom has been trying to get food stamps and Medicaid but, no help because DCF Access stated she make to much money for assistance. If someone can help this family would greatly appreciate it.
Mom is going through an unexpected divorce due to a domestic violence incident which resulted in a restraining order. Mom cannot afford the rent on her own so she has moved with her 5 year old into a one bedroom apartment. Mom does not have room for both beds so case worker recommended a bunk bed with a full on bottom and twin on top so mom does not have to sleep on the couch and so family can still have some space to function well in their new home which they deal with the aftermath of everything that is going on. Case worker has requested this bunk bed from three different agencies and been turned down because they will not provide a bed for mom. However, it is very important that mom's needs are met in order for her to meet the needs of her child.
Child has a twin mattress already. Case worker is requesting the bunk bed frame and a full mattress for mom but family would happily accept the bunk bed frame without mattress if that could be provided.

Single mother, who works two jobs, of a teenage boy, grew up in foster care herself and actually gave birth to her son while she was a minor in foster care herself. As a result of her inconsistent support system, she was never taught how to drive. She hasn’t let this hold her back from her goals and has used a combination of: public transit, uber, & family/friends. She is very proud of what she has accomplished in her life, given her background, but could use some assistance with getting past the hurdle of learning how to drive from a reputable driving school, for quality assurance and completeness. She has no driving violations or fines in her way, as she’s made the smart decision to never drive without a license, and she is in need of being taught correctly.
Westchase Drive Safe is the driving school and the cost is $440 for the mother to receive four 1 hour sessions and would include the pickup/drop off fees. $440 paid to Westchase Drive Safe would remove the financial barrier for the mother to get the education and training she needs to feel safe and prepared to drive herself and her son. The mother is aware that there are more steps, but this is the 1st and most important one to start with
Please join us in showing this mother and son that the community is proud of the work she has put in to change her family tree and that we are all supportive of her seeking more independence and ability to logistically meet the demands of life when it comes to timely transportation. Updated on February 01, 2023 by an Agency Worker One lesson is committed to being covered through the connections from Grace Family Church, thank you!
There is a quantity discount if 4 lessons are bought all at once and the price would come out to about $440. If the lessons are bought individually, they are $99 + $15 for pickup/drop off.
The mother knows that there are further steps to getting mobile, such as a vehicle and car insurance, but I won't want to overwhelm her with putting the cart before the horse. The most important 1st step is for her to learn how to drive to begin with.
Thank you for the support everyone!
Foster mom's 4 yo son will be having surgery. Foster mom will also need surgery in the near future. She fosters a one-year-old and is a great help to other foster moms who need help with babysitting. She could use some help with gift cards for food or if the church prefers door dash or has someone to cook meals, they enjoy tropical smoothie, chipotle, chic fila, olive garden. Though they do have food allergies, so we'd have to reach out to foster mom for specific meals. Updated on January 09, 2023 by an Agency Worker we had someone donate a $25 gift card. The foster mother is sick again and helping with dinners would be helpful for her.
