Single mom of two toddler girls recently fled a domestically violent relationship and has since been doing very well on her own. She's obtained gainful employment and gotten her own apartment, but she cannot afford to pay for the car that she and the kids desperately need. She's already saved $1,500, but needs an additional $1,000 to buy a decent. They live in a remote part of Northern Pinellas county and it's often difficult on mom relying on public transit and Ubers, which can also be unsafe during the early morning/late night hours. One of her daughters has medical issues so she can't be without a reliable means of transportation in case of an emergency. If this request is fulfilled it will prevent mom from stressing about a vehicle and help her have access to opportunities that will strengthen their family unit.

Single mom of 5-year-old little boy just who just began Kindergarten needs help paying for after school care @ the YMCA. Mom recently obtained gainful employment, but cannot afford to pay full after care fee on her own. She has no one to keep the child. Son's father is in prison. If this request is fulfilled it will prevent mom from worrying about child care and help her son increase his social skills by being around other kids his age in a fun environment.
STEPS Family Advocate has been working with the mother to assist with housing stability and assisting with programs for her son who has physical and intellectual disabilities. The mother has concerns with her son having additional medical needs and has created appointments that are located in Tampa. The mother has to drive from New Port Richey. The mother is requesting assistance with gas cards to assist in the cost on getting her son to and from the scheduled appointments.

The caregiver is a kinship provider who has had her granddaughter since January of 2023 due to physical abuse, but did not get licensed for financial support until August of 2023. The caregiver previously had a room mate who was helping with rent but that room mate has since moved out. The caregiver was not receiving any financial support for the child until August or 2023 and this caused the caregiver hardship. The caregiver provides transportation for the child to day care, medical appointments and to supervised visitations with the child's biological parent. The caregivers vehicle broke down due to the engine blowing up and the caregiver was forced to buy a new car. This has caused extreme financial hardship on the caregiver and stress. I am asking to help the caregiver with a one time payment for the vehicle in the form of $500
The Caregiver is struggling financial after taking in her paternal granddaughter. The agency requires documents to be filled out monthly as well as quarterly and yearly. The caregiver is in need of a printer as she is low on funds to buy one for herself or utilize resources such as FEDEX, etc. Providing a printer for the caregiver will aid financially and help assist with unnecessary stress. The caregiver needs the printer to get ahold of important documents that the agency requires her to sign. She will need it to hold licensing for the child.
The mother is currently experiencing a hardship with her past due rent. Recently the mother has been in and out of the ER due to complications with her diabetes. Although the mother is working, she has missed out on significant pay due to her missing work as a result of her hospitalizations. The mother is currently supporting her four children on a limited income and with minimal support. Any assistance to aid this mother getting back on her feet would be greatly appreciated.
A child receiving care is currently placed with a family member. The caregiver was previously provided bunk beds for the child, and the railings on one of the beds has broken. The previous agency will not help replace it. They provided resources for getting the bed fixed but that caregiver has not had any luck reaching anyone. The caregiver is in need of a replacement bed or help getting the bed fixed. The child will be able to sleep in her bed again. Right now she is sharing a bed.

Single mother of 4 is in need of beds and furniture for her children. She has just moved into a home after being homeless for a while. Mom does not have enough income to afford beds at this time. Famliy Advocate is working with mom to ensure she maintains her housing arrangements and gains employment.
It would be great for the children to have desks as well. Howver, beds are the current priority.

The caregiver stepped up to take in three additional children after the loss of their mother due to DV. The caregiver has two children of her own and has been struggling. One child has issues which results in extra washing and loads. Her water and electric bill has gone up drastically and she has begun to work overtime in order to try to provide for 5 children. She has been put on a payment plan to begin paying off her high water and electric since having the dependent children. She just started working with licensing which will help but this can take up to 60 buisness days. Assisting with the water and electric bill will free up funds for the three dependent children so she continue providing them their basic needs without placement disruption
The mother has 6 children. They experienced a fire January 2022 and lost everything. The family has been homeless until March 2023. The mother works two jobs and was able to find them an apartment and is desperately in need of four dressers.
