The family just had a newborn and is needing a bed, parents are currently sleeping on air mattress.

Single mom of two children (one with significant medically complexity) is struggling to pay her rent this month due to misplacing the already purchased money order for their income-based housing. Mother has taken great lengths to locate the misplaced payment but has come up short. There aren't any community agencies able to help until she has received a formal eviction notice which she doesn't want to risk due to the need for stable housing of her medically complex child. Please consider assisting with this tangible need!

This family of soon-to-be four are dealing with unsanitary living conditions, and need to move out of their apartment. There is a clog in the bathroom, and sewage water is overflowing into the apartment. The landlord is refusing to work with the family, as their names are not on the lease- they are subleasing from a friend who has been deported. Mom is pregnant, and cannot be around the sewage. Mom found an apartment they can afford, but need help with the application fee of $80 and the deposit of $450. Once they get those covered, they should be able to cover rent and other bills each month with no problems. The family would like to move as soon as possible, as their current living arrangement is unlivable.

This family is just coming from homelessness but just got moved into their new home! I'm so excited for them as its a big step this family. The mother who is disabled has been working so hard at getting everything together for there new home and could use a little love and support from her community in getting a bed for her child and couch for the house. A young mother has escaped a domestic violence situation with the father of her baby, the baby has recently come into care. The baby is placed with a kinship provider; the mother is working two jobs and providing for her baby, although the baby is not in her home currently. Please consider donating an Uber gift card to assist this mother with visiting her daughter.

This request is to help a family new to the area furnish their apartment. The family consists of a first grade student, a younger sibling, mom, and stepdad. The family recently relocated from Kansas and have spent most of their funds on the move. Mom was previously employed in Kansas, but they do not own a vehicle and mom could not afford to continue using Uber to get to and from work at a longer distance. Mom is actively looking for a new job in the area. When the family moved, they were only able to borrow two cars to transport items and were unable to move a majority of their things. The family was able to get beds for the children but are needing assistance with furnishing their living area and getting kitchen items. They are currently using paper plates and plastic cutlery for meals.

Family is new to the KC area and speaks Hatian Creole. Family speaks limited English and has a limited support system. They have a disconnect notice for their electricity. I have called several agencies about getting assistance and cannot find one that has funds available until next month but I didn't want their electricity to get shut off in the mean time.

This family just moved from Oklahoma to Kc area just within the last few months getting away from toxic relationship. This little family of 4 plus one on the way currently. Mom is currently about 6 months pregnant and looking to get some stability before the baby comes! Mom is looking for some help finding some new shoes for the 3 kids. She would really appreciate this help so the kids can get started in their new school!

A child has had lice for about two months now. She has missed 12 days of school and is now missing end of year testing. Her guardian has not been able to contain the lice with over-the-counter products, and she is in need of professional treatment. I have located a salon in the area that is able to provide services at a discounted rate so that she does not miss any more school. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. A mother and her children are fleeing a domestic violence situation, and his home was the home they were living in but the utilities are in her name. She has notified the Evergy and KCMO water that she is not living there anymore. She needs $210 for apartment admin fees and she needs to bring the electric and water current so they can transfer to her at the new place. She has moved hotels twice to stay away from her abuser, and she is going to start counseling services once she is stable in her living arrangement.

She is helping herself and needs a little more help, not a handout, but a hand up. Children's Division saw the family in a hotel yesterday and they have gone to shelters for food. The mother has a stable job and if she can get the help with these needs, she will be on her way to financial independence and not reliant on her abuser for shelter.
