OFA Internal Needs

Over the past 3 months, Safe Families has been serving a single mom and 5yo daughter who are experiencing homelessness. A volunteer host family has been caring for the 5yo over the last 3 months so that mom had time to focus on stability for her family. Mom was able to get keys to an apartment last week! Mom and daughter are excited to be back together and restart! Unfortunately the family has no household items. In order to reunite this family, they need to have beds to sleep in. All other items needed too, but beds are a priority. If you have gently used beds/bedding or would like to help fund this need, the family would be very appreciative. Natural mother and her 5 children need dinning room chairs. Natural mother is working to provide for her children, she recently moved to her new apartment, she just needs some assistance in getting some dinner chairs so they can enjoy meal together. Thank you for your consideration.

Hello, we have a 16-year-old that is in need of clothes. She doesn't have any clothes or hygiene product. She is very sweet and is going through a hard.

Family is requesting help with pull-ups and wipes for the three year old boy in the home. They had to purchase a new tire for their vehicle this month and this has caused them to run low on funds.

I am working with a biological mother and kinship placement of a beautiful four year old girl and one handsome little one year old. Mom is attempting to engage in services but is facing many barriers. Her phone has been shut off due to no payment and she is not able to call to find out when she is supposed to submit for UA's (and more). She has not found a job yet and is struggling to provide diapers or wipes or essential items to provide for the children during her family visits. Foster Mom, grandma, is not able to help with the necessary items because she is not financially able. Mom needs assistance with her phone bill, a stocked diaper bag for the children (which would include nonperishable food items for growing toddler and big sister), and a gas card to ensure she is able to get to recommended service providers. Grandma could use help with diapers and wipes as well.

A boy could use a hand fitting in at his new foster home. He will turn 9 in a few short weeks and is asking for a new bicycle. His foster siblings ride throughout the neighborhood, but the bike he has is on the small side for his age so he has a hard time keeping up. He's asking for an orange, or dark blue Huffy, BMX type bike or something similar. Any help would be much appreciated!

We are requesting assistance for a foster family who recently welcomed two children into their home. The foster parent is working full-time, and the children are attending the Boys & Girls Club during the summer for daily care and enrichment activities.

The monthly cost for the Boys & Girls Club is $130 per child, totaling $260 per month for both children. Additionally, there is a $62 activity fee for the month of June & July, which covers special Thursday outings such as skating, movies, and trips to the zoo. We are seeking support to cover:     •    June Boys & Girls Club fee: $260     •    June activity fee: $62     •    Total support requested: $322 (Additionally, I requested $200 for gas for FM transportation needs driving from Pryor to Chouteau)

This support will help ensure the children have a safe, structured, and fun summer experience while their foster parent works.

We are asking for assistance for a young mother who is working to reunify with her infant daughter. This mother has been struggling to maintain housing and does not have transportation of her own. She is now working 2 jobs and staying in a hotel. We are asking for assistance in the form of a Tulsa Metrolink bus pass to help her get to and from work, services and family time. I have foster parents who are caring for their nephew and their air conditioning has gone out for the second time and they're unable to to fix it or purchase a window AC unit of their own at this time. They would be extremely grateful to receive any assistance to help them get through the summer.
