Hello, I have a 17 year old, male, who would love to spend his Christmas break with his older brother and extended family in Minnesota. Child has not seen his older brother in years and would really like to go. This child's goal is to age out in May 2024 when he graduates high school. Child's plan is to age out and move to Minnesota where his older brother will be able to be a huge support to him and help guide him as he navigates adulthood. Spending his winterbreak with his family would be a great opportunity for them to strengthen their bond and spend time together before child's next big step of aging out. Any help towards a round trip airplane ticket would be much appreciated. Thank you!
A single mom with 3 young children has fled a violent situation and is trying very hard to get back on her feet and support her family. Her current vehicle has been very unreliable and has required multiple service repairs. It is also not large enough to properly accomodate 3 carseats. Both mom and I realize this is a very big ask, but if you know someone that has a reliable and safe vehicle that they are interested in donating to a very sweet and gracious young mom who could really use the support, please let me know. Or, if you would be willing to help with the cost of her current car repairs, please let me know and I will provide further details. Thank you!

I work with a family at our school who is a single parent and is employeed and just barely making ends meet. Their bank account information was stollen last week and she is in crisis trying to pay her bills. Her car tag fee is one bill she cannot pay and they are expired by a few weeks and she is worried she will get in trouble. She relies on her vehicle to get her children to school and to drive to her job. The amount of the tags is $245. If anyone is able to help this family, they have a lot on their plate and this would enable the mom to prioritize other bills and expenses this holiday. Thank you for considering!
We are coming to you with an immediate need regarding a mother who is unable to pay her phone bill. This is a more immediate need because mom is currently unstable and needs to have access to her phone to reach out for mental health support if needed. She is engaged with our adult services and is slowing engaging due to severe anxiety, issues related to parenting a child who struggles with severe emotional disturbance and an abusive husband she is trying to separate she and her children from. For her safety she is in need of $110 to pay her phone bill before it is shut off. We are hoping you may have a donor interested in helping this mother. Thank you for your quick responses to the needs of those we serve. You’re blessing many lives!
Mother is a single mom and is doing the best she can raising 4 boys. She is behind on BPU bill as she recently moved to Kansas after fleeing from her abusive husband. Mom is working really hard but just needs some extra support. Mother is asking for help with groceries and payment of her utility bill to alleviate concerns for children going hungry, and to ensure they are getting fed properly. It will also ensure their electricity does not get shut off as the holidays and cold weather approach.
The mother of three children has had to relocate after issues with her current location being in ex husband's name. She unfortunately had to request a new benefits card that will not received in time to pay the 1st months rent and deposit on her new apartment. She is supposed to sign the lease on Friday 12/1/23. She has partial payment in cash, but without being able to access her benefit funds she is going to be $400 short. She is requesting $400 to help secure a new home for her and the children.
thank you.
DCCCA is currently working with two teen mothers who are in critical need of baby monitors. One of them has a 13-day old, beautiful baby and she is a teen mom that could benefit from having a monitor to effectively care and attend to her sweet baby girl. Unfortunately, this teen mom is a migrant who came with no family and has no support. Our second momma has multiple babies who are in need of constant monitoring as they are now fast and tend to wander around. Keeping them safe is important and necessary. Please consider helping these beautiful children and young moms. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading and God bless you! Updated on December 06, 2023 by an Agency Worker We were able to obtain one monitor. Please help us out with the second one, thank you :)
This youth is extremely motivated and has set high goals for herself. She wants to accomplish many things in her life despite the trauma she has been through in such a short span of her life. She is dedicated to her education and has already been accepted into KU in the Pre-Med program. While going to school and working on college courses, she has also been taking welding classes to complete the program and obtain her certification. She wants to be able to support herself with a career while going to college. We are asking for any support that can help us achieve paying this bill for her so that she can continue working on her goals to better herself. Thank you in advance for any support provided for this wonderful young lady.

This request is being made for strong, loving, single parent who is unfortunately, stuck in the reoccurring cycle that many people are facing with homelessness. However, the obstacle that this mother is facing are some that she cannot control. This mother was diagnosed with a debilitating disease called Scleroderma at the age of 14. Scleroderma involves the hardening and tightening of the skin which causes severe pain. The doctors gave her two years to live, but here she is 20+ years later, killing it. When this mother was at the hospital at the age of 14 finding out that she had this disease, her own mother abandoned here, leaving her at the hospital, and this mother was placed in the custody of the state. She eventually aged out of the system but this disease has left her disabled and has never been able to work. She receives about $700 from SSI and that was all she received to take care of herself and her two sons. She was able to rent a home, but due to her illness, she was admitted into the hospital and was there for months. During that time, she lost the home because she could not pay rent and the landlord took her to court and she was ordered to pay the landlord over $3000 in restitution. When making very limited income and taking care of herself and her two sons, it is nearly impossible for her to save any money. The only reason preventing her 11 year old son from reintegrating home with her is because she doesn't have stable housing.
I work with a family who has been struggling to make ends meet this year. She is a single mother who works in education and is struggling with her car payment and is in danger of losing the car. She owes $630.00 at this time but any portion of that amount would help. Without the car her children could lose access to attending school due to bus issues in our area and driving them is the only option at this time. Any help would help her get closer to getting caught up on this bill.

Young adult still in foster care is close to exiting foster care by emancipation. He has a long-term home and has moved in. However, he only has an old mattress and no bed frame. He has broken his past bed frame as he rocks in his sleep at night, a result from past trauma. Requesting a new mattress and bed frame for this young man as he transitions to the rest of his life so he can have a more comfortable sleeping arrangement in his room and also a rug to go under the bed frame to prevent scratching the floor when he rocks at night during sleep.

Parents are behind on utility bills, 198.45 for electric and 610.96 for gas. Children are currently placed out of the home with relatives, however, if the utilities get shut off parents will not be able to have visits in the home and it could hinder reunification as parents could be subject to eviction for having the utilities shut off. Parents are actively involved with the case and doing all services asked of them to reunify with their children. Having the utilities shut off could be a detriment for the case and cause possible delay in reunification.
On the children's day of referral into foster care, our kinship department worked tirelessly to find relative connections for these four children to help ensure that they would be able to stay together with their siblings. We were able to find an uncle of the children and his significant other that were enthused to take in the children to ensure that the children were able to go to a home that they were familiar with and people that they had connections to. They were able to be approved as the placement for the children and the children have been safe and stable in their uncle's home since coming into care. However, the family has had a difficult time being able to get beds and mattresses for the children to be able to continue to remain in the home and they are in need of two twin sized bed frames and mattresses and a twin sized bunk bed with mattresses as soon as possible to be able to continue to maintain the children in the home. The family would greatly appreciate any assistance in getting these items to be able to continue to remain placement for their nieces and nephew. Thank you for your consideration and for any help that you may be able to provide.
Struggling family has unexpected bills and has fallen behind on their storage bill. As of Nov 27, 2023 All their belongings will be put up for auction.
Family got behind when living situations changed and family had to start paying all of the rent instead of just 600.00$
Family is now needing to move and pay first and last month rent for a bigger place so their family can be re unified. Already struggling they now have to pay a 1200$ deposit / $250 per fee and first month's rent which is $1225. Not to mention they lost their food stamps and any extra money goes to feeding the kids. Unfortunately, if their unit is lost at auction this will put reintegration even further behind due to having to replace all their belonging. Would you please consider pitching in.
We are so grateful
Jennifer
There is a need for a mother who is raising her 12 year old son who has a serious heart condition. This mother just moved into a separate house from the patient's father and is renting for the first time. About three months ago Mom decided that the environment her and her son were living in was not conducive to a healthy lifestyle so she found a rental property and is working hard as a housekeeper in order to pay the rent. Mom is needing assistance with a washing machine. She reports that she has a functional dryer but the washing machine is broken and she thinks she needs a new one completely! If a church is willing to support this Mom and her son it would be greatly appreciated! Additionally, the hospital social worker sent Mom a link for her to apply for food stamps but as of now, she has been paying for rent and utilities and food out of pocket and could really use support during this gap of time when the food stamps are not active yet. This Mother is Spanish-speaking only!
We are hoping to find a generous donor for a deserving family whose 12-year-old daughter who struggles with significant mental health disorders and is supported by our programs. There are five children in this single-family home including a set of twin one year old babies. The family is on a very tight budget and is in desperate need for two highchairs to assist the youngest to engage and sit at the table with the family during meals. Mom is working at Pizza Hut but making a purchase like this is difficult on her budget. Mom is hoping to find a donor willing to purchase two new highchairs (Cosco Simple Fold High Chair, Elephant puzzle) for their family. We have noted details of the type of highchair the young mother needs for the twins.
Your ongoing support of the families we serve is greatly appreciated!
Hello! 18 year old, female, is working on aging out of care. She is in desperate need of a car in order to be able to continue working towards her goal of aging out successfully. This has been her biggest barrier. She is a hard worker and very smart and resourceful. She is working and recently graduated high school. She has identified housing for herself but will not be able to maintain her job without transportation. We have found a car for sale for 1500 that she is very interested in. We would appreciate any amount of help to pay for the car. She is working on saving up for her part of the payment and is very determined. If you can help, please let me know. Thank you!

Journey Church International can help with this need as long as we can get the documentation needed to get a check cut. We usually get a W9, but not sure who this payment will go to?
