Help Prevent a Child From Entering Foster Care
Clay County Children's Division frequently works with families who do not have transportation, but they need to get their children to the hospital, to forensic interviews, or to other vital appointments. These appointments are often unplanned and urgent. We are requesting 5 $50 Uber cards to have available when these unexpected needs arise.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
My kin caregiver is currently caring for her (2) 19-year-old great nephews who arrived separately in 2006 and 2019. She has since adopted her great nephew who arrived as a 6-month-old infant in 2006 and currently cares for her great nephew who was placed with her at 14 years old in 2019. The great aunt lives on a fixed income and serves as the sole provider to her household of three. Recently, a large split began forming on the family’s dining room table from wear-and-tear and the table has started to wabble. As a result, the table no longer provides a safe, stable place for her nephews to eat their meals. Additionally, an ergonomic, adjustable computer chair is needed for her great nephews’ bedroom, as their current computer chair has incurred significant wear-and-tear. Due to her limited resources, along with recent economic hardships, replacing these items poses a significant challenge for my kin caregiver. Assisting her with a dining table (approximately 56.25” length x 36” width x 36” height) and an ergonomic, adjustable computer chair would not only ensure that her great nephews have a comfortable place to enjoy their meals and entertain themselves in their downtime, but would also enable them to bond with one another.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Single mother of 2 young children with a baby due in June. She was homeless but was able to move into housing and keep her children with her. She is in need of 2 car seats for her kids, currently she is unable to drive because she cannot afford car seats. She is a great mom that has worked hard to give her kids a new life but now she needs to make sure she is able to transport them safely. Here are the links to the type of car seat she is needing. This car seat will be able to grow with her children so she will not need to keep buying new ones as they grow.
These kids have experienced a hard life, and we would love to see them thrive and feel safe and this is a great start to aid in supporting them. As her family grows getting them around is going to get harder so there is also a need for a double stroller. Here is a link to what she is needing: Go To Link

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
We have a family who is really struggling. There are 4 children in the home all middle school aged and younger. They are requesting assistance with their electric bill that way they can still cover their other bills. The full amount for their electric bill is 310.54. However, anything would help them to get back on their feet. They have fallen behind on their phone bill and rent as well. If they received assistance with their electric bill, they could cover their other bills without having to prioritize any of them over the others. Thank you!

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Mother is a single parent with two children ages 6 and 9. The youngest child is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. He is receiving regional center care and mother is trying to get home ABA hours and at home assistance. Mother informed CSW she does not receive any support from the father. Mother stated they are currently going through mediation with family court. Mother works three jobs and indicated it is still not enough to pay rent and take care of her children necessities. Mother is 27 years old. Mother lives on her own in a one bedroom apartment with her two children. Mother mentioned she continued to get denied for EBT. Mother is struggling and is open to receiving anything that can help her and her family, like groceries, essentials and necessities for the children such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, food. Thank you for taking the time and reading about this family.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Single mom of two children (one with significant medically complexity) is struggling to pay her rent this month due to misplacing the already purchased money order for their income-based housing. Mother has taken great lengths to locate the misplaced payment but has come up short. There aren't any community agencies able to help until she has received a formal eviction notice which she doesn't want to risk due to the need for stable housing of her medically complex child. Please consider assisting with this tangible need!

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
6 year old girl in need of items for an upcoming trip to Texas for her brother's surgery. Her brother has a genetic medical condition and is going to have surgery in Austin, TX in June on his jaw/face for reconstruction and possible tracheotomy removal. The family will be driving to Austin and renting a place to stay for several weeks. The family is hoping to gather items to help their child manage the long drive as well as the many hours she will spend at the hospital with her brother. Items that might be helpful would be coloring books, drawing supplies, crayons, markers, colored pencils, small lego sets, medical play kit (she wants to be a doctor) and she loves mermaids and unicorns. This family would be very appreciative of any help that could be provided.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
This family of soon-to-be four are dealing with unsanitary living conditions, and need to move out of their apartment. There is a clog in the bathroom, and sewage water is overflowing into the apartment. The landlord is refusing to work with the family, as their names are not on the lease- they are subleasing from a friend who has been deported. Mom is pregnant, and cannot be around the sewage. Mom found an apartment they can afford, but need help with the application fee of $80 and the deposit of $450. Once they get those covered, they should be able to cover rent and other bills each month with no problems. The family would like to move as soon as possible, as their current living arrangement is unlivable.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
Single mother of 2 is working very hard to find stable housing and work while also uninsured. One of the two children has been bullied at school for the clothes that she wears. The bullying has been relentless, to the point of daughter wanting to self-harm. The daughter is in safe hands. Clothes for the daughter are hard to find, as in age appropriate and in her style in sizes 2X. A gift card to any clothing places that has her size would help take a burden off of mom's shoulder and empower her daughter to feel more confident in choosing her clothes. Thank you for considering helping this family.
