A teen is in need of a bed in at her cousins place of residence, where she is now currently staying. She is expecting a child soon, and we would like for her and baby to have a comfortable area to sleep. She has recently left a shelter and did not have a place to stay for months before the shelter, that is why she does not have furniture already.

I have a mother and child that are at risk of being homeless by the end of next week. She was able to stay with her father-n-law but he kicked out my client and her son. The child was in a psychiatric hospital but he has been released and staying in a hotel with his family. He does have significant mental health issues that are being addressed. The mother is employed but does not make enough to pay for rent and deposit.
UPDATED:
This family is homeless again and staying in a hotel for now with their 12 yo child that has significant mental health issues. The mother is working but does not have enough money to continue paying the hotel cost. I believe her sister may be paying for a week and i was able to get help from compassion outreach for two days. She is in need of housing. Right right now she is not able to get into income based housing due to hotel cost. DCF is asking for rental assistance. She is looking for a house to rent.
We've got a high schooler who is in foster care for the second time. She is really hoping to be able to join a competitive volleyball league but cannot afford it. $900 is the whole amount needed although any amount would help. This would help her mentally- having an output to go workout/ play. Playing competitive could perhaps make her grow more in the sport and possibly play for college.

I am working with a family of 5 children (3 boys and 2 girls) and a single mom. They have made great strides during our case and have gone from being homeless to having a home and a stable family situation. The family would greatly benefit from having a used washer/dryer set. The mother does not expect a new set and is happy to have anything that works! They have a setup for this in their home but are still going to the laundromat, which is difficult with 6 peoples' clothing and 3 small children who love to run around. :) With the mother's income, it is hard for her to afford these items. I have been blessed to work with this family and they are so close to being able to close their case and continue moving forward with all the skills they have learned. Thank you for considering this request and for all your support in our community!
We are working with a relative placement we have needed to be inventive regarding sleeping pace to allow a youth to remain with family and out of stranger care. The family has re-arranged family living space to accommodate alternative sleeping arrangements for the youth, and is in need of either a futon with mattress or a hide-a bed couch/to be utilized in the living room which will be multi-functioning as both a living room and bedroom for a child in care in order to ensure the child has an adequate sleeping space. (example found - Costway Convertible Futon Sofa Bed Folding Recliner old by target)

A single mom who lives with her 2 children. One of her children is an adult. The home the family lives in is need of some TLC. The family needs help with a large dumpster. They also need help with cleaning out the home. Once the home is cleaned out and sanitary, they will need many items to help maintain a safe and clean home for the child.
A foster mom had to pay out of pocket for child care for her foster daughter - The problem is there weren’t any licensed facilities available for 7 weeks which is why she had to pay out of pocket.
Children’s Division will not reimburse for this. I'd hate to see our foster mom lose so much money due to a shortage of daycare facilities. It's not a utility bill, but it is financial assistance. Any help for this foster mom would be greatly appreciated.

I am working with a family and one parent is struggling with addiction. We have put services in place and are working with the court. Due to missing work hours to take care of these matters, the family is unable to make rent for the month of August. They are being very proactive and seeking help as well as cooperating with service in every way. The other parent who has been staying at home with the two young children is now looking for work to assist with costs in the future. We would like to help the family take care of their rent for the month so that they are able to focus on the work they are doing to get stronger. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for all your support and prayers for the family would be appreciated as well. Updated on July 27, 2022 by an Agency Worker This needs to be updated to $1,100. I didn't realize that the parents have to pay rent and utilities in one payment. Thanks!
Single mother of four in need of a queen size mattress. This will help the mother get a good night sleep in order to care for her children during the day. Family had made a prior service request to help out with getting her car fixed. Mother believes the tire rods need replaced.
This family is being licensed by Jackson County CD for an ICPC placement of their maternal nephew who is one year old. The family has gathered many of the necessary items for the child, although they still need a convertible car seat in preparation for his arrival.

Placement contacted KVC on a friend's phone because one of the two children (5F and 6F) in her care destroyed her phone after it was taken away from the child. Placement stated that the child stomped on the phone and it was completely destroyed by child. Placement requested help replacing the phone as it is crucial to facilitate services for the children.
A natural mother has worked really hard to find her own home in order for her family to reintegrate, and we needed to get creative to make the small, one bedroom home work for her, and her three children ages 11, 5, and 2. In order to do this, we need a set of bunk beds as well as a room divider so that the 11 year old can have a sense of privacy in their shared bedroom. (A twin bed has been obtained for the 11 year old to have her own sleeping space).

Four children are being reintegrated with their father. Dad is basically starting from scratch and needing assistance with obtaining vital items for his children. There are three girls and one boy. Due to having four children, bunk bed sets would be extremely helpful. Thank you!!
Single mother of 4 is needing help getting her car fixed. She believes the tie rods need replaced. She needs her car to transport her children to school when it starts next month. She also relies on her car to get groceries, and to get children to their mental health appointments. Not getting the car fixed could be dangerous for them while driving in the car.

This mother is needing help getting minutes for her phone. She is about to go into treatment for substance abuse and needs a way to stay in contact with her family while in treatment as the facility does not allow in-person visits. The support of her family is very important to her and it will be beneficial for her to have virtual visits to keep her spirits up during her time away.

Single mother of 3, a 6 month old boy, 7 year old girl and a teen boy. Mother is in need of assistance paying off or paying down her Cox Communication bill. Mom has struggled with obtaining child care and her most recent child care provider had to stop providing care. Mom is having to take time off from her job at McDonalds when she is unable to find someone to watch the kids. Mom is wanting to obtain a job where she can work from home but will need the internet to be able to do this. The apartment build she lives in At&T has refused to provide internet to her apartment. Her only option is Cox Communication for internet service but she needs to bill off the past due balance of $452.44. If this bill is paid off mom will be able to find a job where she can work from home and she has already found several jobs that she wants to apply for. This will alleviate the stress of having to find child care.

Please help this family prepare for reunification. Father has a case goal of reunification and is currently having a Trial Home Visit. Father is unable to successfully complete school registration and access other important documents as he does not have a laptop. He uses his phone but he is unable to load certain documents or access the school website. Please help them with a laptop and if possible a printer.
A family in our Big Brothers Big Sisters program is in need of assistance. Mom is a mother of 4 and a survivor of DV. She has been able to get her family to safety but by doing so they are left with less money than before, making it hard for her to provide a few things her children had in the past.
The family needs furniture and they do not have the extra money to buy any from anywhere, including thrift stores. Mom would really appreciate help getting a window air conditioning unit, a sofa, and a coffee table.
If the family is able to obtain these items it would give them a space where they can relax together out of the heat and in the same room. They currently have no living room furniture and will sit on the floor. This is a loving family who enjoys each other and would love to be able to spend quality time together more comfortably.
