Family is in need of one full mattress and one twin mattress. This family has now taken 5 children into their home as a kinship foster placement in the past ten months to avoid those children from being placed in traditional foster care, which brings the total amount of children they are financially providing 100% for to 6. They have been able to secure most items for the children including bed frames, but they are not able to afford new mattresses for the two children who were placed in their home two weeks ago.

This family has three teenage children who have outgrown their beds. This family is at poverty level and can not provide additional funds for beds. The teens beds are falling apart and are in not good shape. They also have poor quality heat and air as it is an older home. One of the children's rooms gets so hot in the summer they can't utilize it in the summer. They requested a window unit.

A mother of five was in a domestic violence situation. She has made sure her and her five children are safe but has no means to wash or dry clothes other than going to laundry mat. She does have washer and dryer hookups. The laundry continues to pile up. The family does not care if the washer/dryer is used.

I have a dad whose children have recently come into custody. He is needing an out of state birth certificate. We are requesting the funds to order the birth certificate so that he can obtain ID which he does not currently have. Without id, he cannot get a job or access services.

I have a single mother of four children whose van is currently not drivable due to two bad tires! She has had the tires patched and aired up several times, but she now has one tire that has gone completely flat and one that the spare tire is being used on! Receiving help with getting new tires would help her out tremendously to be able to transport her four children to and from appointments and activities!

A foster child in your area is needing assistance with insuring that she has enough clothes for summer. She is a preteen and hoping to attend summer camp this year. Having clothing that is weather-appropriate will be vital to making sure that she is comfortable. By assisting this family, you will also be taking financial weight off of a devoted and caring single foster mom, who not only is caring for a foster child, but also for her own three children. Your help would be very much appreciated!

We have a wonderful foster family that is currently in need of assistance with groceries. Not only would you be helping to preserve a foster placement, but you would also be taking some of the weight off of a single foster mom's shoulders. This mom is incredibly hard working and doing everything possible to help the children in her care, as well as support her own children in every way needed.

There is a foster family that is need of repairs to the home. Sadly, an intruder broke into the home, kicking the front and back door in, causing damage to door frame. The foster mom is struggling to make rent, and trying to find someone to fix the doors, is causing added stress for the family, also the adding in the stress of not feeling safe in the home. We have a foster family; 6 children, 2 of their own that is needing assistance with a gas card. With 6 children, there is a lot of getting to appointments and school functions that can be overwhelming, when the family is short on money, and adding gas into the mix. Any help would greatly help the family. Thank you for your support.

Baby boy was born on 4/18/25 at 33 week. He is currently weighing 3.5 lbs. He is currently in the NICU, working on gaining weight so he can be discharged to a foster placement. Baby boy has to be at least 4 lbs to be discharged. Prior to his discharge he must complete and pass a car seat test. Due to his size he is needing a car seat with ability to carry a 4lb baby. Baby boy is also needing Dr. Brown bottles with preemie flow nipples, preemie size diapers and clothing to aid in his transition into foster care placement.

Safe Families recently has connected with a young mother and her 5 year old son who is currently in a critical situation. She recently underwent surgery for ovarian cancer and is now preparing to begin dialysis treatment on May 5th. As the sole caregiver for her young autistic son, she has been unable to work since her surgery and is now facing the possibility of eviction.

She is currently $430 short on rent and has until Thursday, May 1st to make the payment in full. Without immediate assistance, she and her son will lose their home during an already overwhelming time of medical recovery and transition.

This is a mother who is fighting for her health, caring for her child, and doing everything she can to stay afloat. Meeting this need would not only provide her with stable housing, but with the peace of mind to focus on her healing and caring for her son!

Mother who needs transportation for family time at OKDHS office desperately needs a bus pass! Please help if you can. She is coming from the downtown area.
