A single mom who was reunited with her children, is needing some assistance with rent during the holidays. She is the sole provider for her family with children that have medical needs, ages 2 (boy) and age 4 (female). Mom has been trying to pay her rent as she gets paid but lost an income from separating from her children's father who is not providing financial support to their children. Any assistance towards her rent this holiday season would be greatly appreciated. If more information is needed please contact Case Worker.

A developmentally delayed 17-year-old girl who lives in a group home would like a TV and DVD player for her bedroom. Watching TV is a positive coping mechanism as it helps her relax by refocusing her attention. Having a TV in her own room would allow her to avoid arguments with the other girls over the communal TV and give her more of an incentive to disengage and regulate herself in her room when she's overstimulated by the activity in the home instead of becoming reactive in a negative manner.
At the group home, there is no cable or streaming capabilities, hence the need for a DVD player. We've included links for combo TV/DVD players below to simplify her setup but would accept separate devices as well. The primary limitation is that the size of the TV cannot exceed 32".

I have a grandma and grandpa that are raising their grandchildren and recently found out that they had bed bugs in the apartment. The apartment sprayed for bugs, but grandma is requesting the need for full and queen size zip up mattress protectors to help prevent re infestation and to protect themselves from coming in contact with the bug spray that was sprayed on the mattresses due to it is causing some skin irritation.
I have a single mother of 5 that recently moved into an apartment after being evicted from her trailer. Mom was unable to bring the kids beds when they were allowed a short amount of time to get their stuff out of the trailer. Mom is requesting the need for 4 twin size mattresses and box springs for the kids to be able to sleep on due to currently sleeping on the floor. Mom is disabled and on a fixed income and is unable to afford to purchase the beds herself. Mom is also needing basic kitchen items such as pots and pans, silverware , cups, plates and bowls.

We are currently working with a family of 9 in Payne County. The father recently became unemployed and the family is down to one income. The family has limited space in their home and need assistance with some organizational items. The family could use a shower caddy or shower shelves [preferably the shelves if available]. The family is motivated to work on their goals and have been cooperative during services. Any assistance for this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your ongoing support!
A family in our community, currently overcoming the aftermath of domestic violence inflicted by the biological mother and her boyfriend, is in urgent need of our support.
The three youngest children have found refuge with their father and his wife, who are working tirelessly to blend their family of seven. Unfortunately, their washing machine broke this past Saturday, and with only one car available, taking laundry to a laundromat is an insurmountable challenge.
Adding to their difficulties, the mother is bravely facing spinal stenosis, while the father's income from a tow truck job is limited. They have identified a used washer for $300 on Facebook Marketplace, and your support can make a significant impact.
Could you contribute to help them purchase this essential appliance or provide a gently used washing machine? Your generosity will not only ease their immediate burden but also contribute to their journey of healing and stability.
Hello, I am a school based worker with DHS. I am currently working with a family who needs a queen sized mattress. They have a frame. Thank you so much.

A bio mom has worked hard to reunify with her 2 and a half year-old son and he has now been back in her home for over a month. Mom currently does not have a washer or dryer at her apartment and has been going to the laundromat outside of her family time visits. Having a dryer in her residence would greatly help as her son has autism and weekly trips to the laundromat for extended periods of time are a difficult outing for him. Any help with this request is greatly appreciated and this request can be met by multiple parties if necessary. Thank you for all you do!

This is a great learning experience that they will take into their adult lives. It is a one-and-a-half-hour sessions for each category. Good Manners will have the residents in a 6-week program and have four different categories for the residents. The second category, they will be going over is Personal Appearance and Dating and being responsible x 2 sessions. To be able to work with Good Manner we need the funds for each category. The fee is $300 per category. Personal Appearance and Dating class covers body image and conflict resolution, behaving as a young respectable teenager in the dating world, understanding boundaries, and respectful behavior toward others. The fee covers printed material that covers areas of the nominated sessions.Thank you!
A set of grandparents are currently caring for their grandchild due to various concerns for the child in the care of their parents. The grandparents are needing a crib for the child as the parents did not provide them with one. The grandparents do not need to be burdened with the extra cost if child welfare and the Careportal can assist them with this.

Burmese Family #1
Catholic Charities will welcome a Burmese refugee family in December. This family is a mom with three teenagers. We do not have beds for the family and would welcome help providing the family with beds. I do not have a firm date for when they will arrive in December, but we will set up their apartment on December 4th. Then after they are welcomed at the airport, they will go straight to their furnished apartment with their case manager!
Gender Neutral Items are best.
Catholic Charities will walk with this family thru immediate case management for 3 months after their arrival. We will help with apartment set up, legal documents (like SS#), job placement, establishing medical care, enrolling the kids in school, and much more. Helping the family with household items is a huge way to help the family get established in Tulsa!

A family needs a toddler bed, mattress, and bedding for their 2 year old daughter. Currently their daughter is sleeping with them in their bed or on a pallet on the floor. They are doing the best they can to provide for the needs of their family and a toddler bed would give their child a space of her own to sleep for safety and comfort. Worker priced beds on Walmart.com. Toddler beds range from $40 to $75, Crib mattresses $35 to $40, and Toddler bedding $25 to $35 (a crib sheet and blanket would be okay too)
