Tara is currently caring for her three great nephews and niece and has been for the last 1.5 years. She is a single provider and works part time and has to utilize community resources to make ends meet. the youngest child is 1.5 years old and has significantly grown out of his infant car seat and is in need of a car seat that can grow with him.

We have a 10 year old girl who was recently placed with one of our foster families along with her older sister. The 10 year old is excited about the idea of riding a bike as the weather is getting warmer and loves to spend time outside. She would love to receive a 24" bike and helmet so she can spend the spring and summer time riding her bike around her neighborhood. To help make this summer extra memorable for her, we are requesting help locating a gently used or brand new 24" girls bike and helmet. Thank you!

An 8 year boy and 10 year old girl were placed with these kinship providers November 2022. The children came into the home with nothing , except for a very few personal/clothing items. The Kinship providers are applying for Social Security benefits for the children, but that process can be lengthy. Adding two children to their family of four, has increased other expenses such as food, gas, and utilities. The family is able to cover these expenses, but purchasing the children "extras" is not possible for them to do at this time. Other than the bike helmets and the girls' sneakers, the items can be gently used as well. The girl wears a size 1.5 to size 2 sneaker, but a gift card to somewhere like Famous Footwear would allow her to pick her own.

Parents were unaware of pregnancy until mother went into labor at the end of January. Family support has filled in most items they need for the baby, but they are in need of a bottle warmer. Family is residing in the basement of another family member, and it is time consuming to go upstairs each time the newborn needs a bottle warmed, especially in the night when he wakes. Caseworker can send a link to the item, or a gift card to Walmart or Amazon would be appreciated for the family to purchase the item.

Father, grandmother, and two children reside together. Father had shotguns and handguns out of the home while he moved homes, but now that he is settled, he has the firearms back into his home but does not have a safe for them. Father is needing a large safe for shotguns so he can put both his long guns and hand guns into that safe to keep the children safe.

A youth was placed with a kinship provider due to ongoing concerns of neglect. The family is needing to move homes in order to provide enough space for the youth and other children in the home. By providing this funding, the family will be able to secure a new home in order to meet the needs of the youth and prevent further out of home placement. The asking amount is quite large but whatever you can contribute to this family will be greatly appreciated.

A single mother of one teenager, took in another13 year old teenager. Due to an increase groceries ( she now has two teenagers!) and increase in fuel cost ( to provide transportation to visitation with the biological parents0, this kin provider is struggling to meet her other expenses each month. A single grandmother is caring for her 8 and 14 year old grandsons, and due to increased expenses in food, utilities, gas, clothing, etc., the family is in need of additional financial support. The children came with very few clothing items, many of which were ill-fitting. The 8 year old wears a kids size 8 to 10 and a 3 shoe size. The 14 year old wears an XL adult tops, his pants size is 34 length and 34/36 waist size. His shoe size is 13.5. They are in need of sneakers, shorts, pants/sweatpants, shirts, socks and underwear. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated by this family!

A three year old was recently removed from his mother due to her ongoing homelessness and being a victim of domestic violence. She is currently driving for Uber, however, her car is having issues that she does not know how to resolve, nor does she have the money to do so. In order to keep working towards independence, gaining custody of her child back, she needs to continue to be able to work. She lost her 17 year old daughter in 2021 when a drunk driver hit her while driving -- all of her daughters belonging remain in a storage unit. Without sufficient income, she will not be able to continue paying for her storage unit and get a place of her own. We are requesting someone with car knowledge, or ability to financially help, look at her car and help resolve the issue. Due to not knowing what is wrong, it is unknown what the current cost would be. I put $200 as that may be possibly the cost to diagnose the car, but I am unsure.

Grandparents have four and one year old boys placed in their care, and they are working towards foster care certification. As part of the certification process, the adults' need to be First Aid/CPR certified. Although there is a discount for them to enroll in this class, with the additional expenses of parenting two young children, the family is just meeting the necessity of their family.

A parent needs help with tires for her vehicle. Without new tires she will not be able to attend visitation with her child. Four tires will be needed for her vehicle.

This is a family of 6 (3 adults and 3 children ages 5,3, and 1) who recently had to leave their apartment at no fault of their own. There was a fire in their apartment complex which resulted in an asbestos outbreak and the family are not allowed to return to gather personal items or furniture. The family moved into the basement of the paternal grandmothers home and the house is very old - the stairs to the basement are extremely steep and dangerous and the door to the laundry room is broken. The family are asking for baby gates to block off the basement stairs and laundry room door. They are also in need of a baby crib and bedding for 2 twin beds, a crib, and a full bed for parents. The family lost everything they had in the fire and outbreak.

Grandparent kin providers are caring for their 1 and 4 year old grandsons. The 4 year old is on the autism spectrum, and recently broke through the gates they have on their stairs. They also need to replace the gates to provide stair safety for the one year old, and as a requirement for kinship foster care certification . They have a twin mattress but need a twin box spring so the mattress can be placed in a bedframe rather than on the floor. They are also in need of a five pound extinguisher for certification
