Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
Hi! I am currently working with a family who has two of the sweetest little girls I have ever met. The girls were removed about a year ago due to ongoing concerns of substance usage in the home. The girls are currently with a kinship placement who has been providing for them without the financial support of either parent as they do not contribute much to the kids in terms of their needs. Both girls will be starting at the same school in August and they are in desperate need of all things school and school supplies related (backpack, lunch box, pencils, markers, paper, ext.). One will be going into kindergarten and the other will be going into 2nd grade. I am really hoping to alleviate some stress and help out the placement provide to ensure that the girls have everything they need to start school in August. Any help would be greatly appreciated whether it be through a gift card to allow the girls to pick out what they want or someone who would like to spend some time doing some back to school shopping for the girls. Thank you for all the support and love that you all pour into the families we work with!

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
This family recently endured a horrific tragedy. The child is placed with her brother who is legally blind and her mother recently was involved in a murder suicide attempt. Child's brother and child share the same mother and are undergoing grief from losing the child's father as well as coping with the mother being in the hospital with gunshot wounds. Any type of meal service/Uber gift cards would help strengthen this family during the grieving process. Anything helps this family at their time of need and being that kinship is disabled, it would be very helpful to assist family with meals and food at this time to help alleviate the stress of eating/cooking.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
I have a client with a sweet infant in need. The infant was born with multiple genetic conditions. He is getting surgery on his skull in a month to correct fused sutures (a first step in his upcoming medical journey). At a recent physical therapy appointment, the therapist requested the family get a specific chair for the child to sit in (Go To Link This family is doing an amazing job addressing baby's physical challenges, but they are having a hard time financially. The family looked to some other programs for support in getting the chair but had no luck. The hope is that with this chair, the child will be able to develop appropriate muscle groups and keep his head off the floor once he has his helmet in place (for many upcoming months), making it more comfortable for him.
A bonus request from the nurse: The chair is a priority, but knowing that the family is in a tight financial spot, I would also like to request a large can or two of Enfamil Gentlease Formula (they are on WIC, so they get enough for about 3 weeks of the month...but could use some extra to make sure baby has enough to have nutritional needs met for full month).
Thank you for your sincere consideration. The family is so grateful (and doing such a great job loving their little guy while he goes through a tough infancy).

Help an Individual with Disabilities Improve their Wellbeing
There is a 30-ish year-old young man living at apartments in Castle Rock. He is paralyzed from the chest down and in a wheelchair. He was granted special permission to be at these apartments even though he doesn't qualify due to his age. He receives food from Help & Hope on a monthly basis when they visit him. His family lives in Elizabeth and has even less money than this young man. It is noted that sometimes he will give his money to his mom/dad so they can eat.
Help & Hope has been going to this gentleman's apartment on Wednesdays when they deliver food to him, and have been making his bed and doing light chores for him.
Looking for a weekly/monthly volunteer(s) who would like to visit this young man and assist with light chores?

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
A dedicated grandmother stepped up to care for her two young granddaughters when they needed her most. What was expected to be a temporary arrangement has now become a permanent placement—and she’s embraced this role with love, patience, and unwavering commitment.
To provide the best possible care, the kinship provider took time off work to focus fully on the girls’ needs. Now that the case plan is clear, she’s ready to return to work and has found a promising job opportunity. The only remaining barrier is a $70 certification: QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person), which is also a valuable asset in supporting one of the girls, who has special needs.
She hasn’t asked for any other support throughout this case, and this one-time help would go a long way. Your contribution would directly support a caregiver who has shown extraordinary dedication—and help her move forward with stability and strength.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
A local family recently lost all of their furniture due to a severe bed bug infestation. To protect their health, they made the difficult decision to throw everything out—and have been working tirelessly to clean and restore their home. They’ve already secured two twin mattresses for their children, but the beds are still on the floor.
We’re hoping to find two twin bed frames to help them continue rebuilding. A simple bed frame offers more than support—it means safety, better sleep, and a sense of normalcy.
This family has taken every step to protect their children and move forward. With your help, they can keep building a stable, healthy home.
If you can donate a new or gently used twin bed frame, please reach out. Every act of kindness makes a difference.
