This is a single mother who is caring for three children all on the spectrum. She has recently been struggling with transportation as she needs a new car battery. She is needing to get the battery ASAP as not having a car is limiting her ability to continue her job search, classes and other basic needs that involve personal transportation.

Family identified through Douglas County Prevention work is facing eviction and homelessness. The family is needing to focus their current income on housing and transportation costs. The 11 year old child in the home is in need of some new clothing, shoes and socks. He is a size 10/12 and needs pants, shirts and socks for children's size 6+. He needs some new shoes as well at least a size 6. The family could also use some food resources, including gift cards for groceries. They will be connected by myself to local food banks and community resources, including our family center as well. Gift cards for clothing so he could pick items out would be greatly appreciated.

Heather:
We can put together clothes for the young male. I need clarification on size. Is it 10/12. Or 6? I can have those ready Monday afternoon and drop or a social worker could shop for the child

This would help a 2-month-old baby boy who is going to live with his uncle in Utah. The uncle has already adopted the baby boys 2 older siblings. We are requesting a new car seat for this baby so the caseworker can transport him to Utah to be with Uncle and Uncle can keep the car seat. If this is met the siblings would be together again and be able to travel safely.

He is need of a safe sleep space in order for him to transition to this kinship placement. A maternal aunt has recently taken in her two nieces, ages 4 months and 1 year, and she has had some financial struggles due to the cost of caring for the babies. The 4 month old requires special bottles due to a health diagnosis and will also require surgery for a G tube, so finances have been tight and they do not have enough money to purchase diapers for the 1 year old. This aunt is requesting an Amazon gift card to purchase diapers, wipes, and other baby items.

The family is in desperate need of a new full-size mattress. After multiple flooding incidents due to faulty piping in their previous apartment, their full-size mattress was ruined which two of their children used. The family was subsequently rushed out of the apartment and while they were able to find a new apartment, they do not have the financial means to purchase a new mattress at this time. The family has five wonderful children between the ages of 2 and 10 and both parents in the home work full-time schedules just to make ends meet and provide for the basic needs of their children. One of the younger children is also in need of a bigger car seat. The family is not one to ask for help, but they have found themselves in a position where help is simply needed.

Hello- I am requesting help to provide some basic necessities for a family of 2, a single mother of a 16 year old female who recently came to Colorado from Peru to escape the violence. They are needing items such as shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products (tampons/pads), and any other personal hygiene products. This little request will substantially help this family as they are trying to establish their residency in Colorado. The 16 year old is very smart, loves math and wants to be an architect when she grows up. Daughter and mom enjoy watching shows together on their phones and taking walks. Gift cards to grocery stores and Target would also be highly effective in helping this family get on their feet. Mom travels by bus, 50+ minutes to her employment. Bus passes or financial assistance to contribute to transportation also helpful.

Kin provider took in her nieces and nephew, totaling three. She also has two children of her own and is a single parent. Finances are tight for the family and the three children she took in could use some clothing. Young kin provider and her fiancé took in her newborn brother while her mom is in the hospital. They have been very resourceful in getting items they need for their newborn brother, but they could use a dresser to keep his items in as they have him in their bedroom, with little space. Any help getting this item would be greatly appreciate by this family. The family does live-in Longmont and the item would need to be shipped.

They could use help in getting a microwave, and Latches. They're having issues with the children getting into the drawers and cabinets and could use help in getting some child proof latches. New parents welcomed their first child into the world in February - a baby girl! Their daughter is currently sleeping in their bed with them as they do not have a crib for her. Having support getting a crib would be great for this family to have a safe place for her to sleep. We prefer new items. If the crib is gently use we ask that you please be prepared to email photos for the parents approval. Thank you for your support!

Family has a very high needs child who is diagnosed with Angelman's Syndrome. Child is unable to communicate, walk, or care for himself. Mother is a single mother and father is believed to be totally uninvolved. Child's teenage and adult siblings help to care for him while mother works a night job. Family is overwhelmed and experiencing significant financial stress. They recently moved to Colorado from rural Nebraska to have access to more and better services for the child. Due to child's inability to control bodily functions, family needs a leather type couch and loveseat, or sectional, that can be easily cleaned. They currently have no furniture to sit on while sharing time together watching movies, television, or socializing in their living room. Used or new would be acceptable, just something in good shape. Estimated cost based on new, but could be more or less.

Maternal grandparents are caring for their grandchildren. They were previously living with parents, but when it became unsafe, grandparents left the home with the children. They were previously living with friends while they were in the process of renting a home. The family is low income and grandmother has a disability and unable to work. The family is looking for a wonderful individual who may have a few dressers they would like to donate or a toddler bed that their child may have grown out of. Due to the young ages of the children, rugs would also be great to help keep the carpet clean.

Mom and dad who are new parents, their son is about two months old. They have been working hard to reunify with him and have recently been approved for a new apartment which will be safe and big enough for all of them. Mom is still out of work as she needs time to adjust to her treatment needs and dad only recently got a job in January. They are working to save money and pay off bills as they come.
What is being asked is any furniture donations to help them settle into their new home and to help avoid the cost of buying all new items. Prior to this, parents were sleeping on a mattress at dad's family's home. Anything would be very appricated!

Student is a HIGHLY motivated youth and very active in work and school. She is currently residing with her grandma and is managing to drive herself to school and work every day. She will be a senior in the coming fall and will need a Chromebook laptop to take on-line classes at the community college while she finishes her high school diploma. By donating gas cards and/or a laptop, it will help her own financial burden of needing gas for her car every day and help set her up for success in school. Any computer new or refurbished would be appreciated, thank you.
