had legal charges out of Riley County. He was was also required to do community services hours, an online course, and serve on two peer jury duty hearings. He has worked incredibly hard to complete his community service hours with his school and he has completed all of his other requirements. He will be reintegrating home with his parents in May and is hopeful that he can put this case behind him before he goes home. He has stated that he would like to close this chapter and start fresh once he is back home and has asked if anyone would be willing to help him with these fee's.

KVC Kinship is working with a relative placement family that has expressed a need for assistance with covering the expense for a 12 year old male child to participate in a martial arts class as an outlet for this child. This family has expressed a financial need for assistance and would greatly appreciate any help with this expense.
Single mother on disability is working with DCCCA to keep children in school daily and involved in therapy services. This single mother has been struggling financially due to not receiving child support. This mother is in great need of 4 new tires on her vehicle. Worker was just notified that the spare tire has blown on vehicle today. This mother's vehicle is in great need of tires to allow her to transport her children to medical and therapy appointments each week. This mother has called Big O tires for a estimate and Walmart. Big O has the tires and may price match walmart. Walmart quote is near $450 without disposal fee. Big O price is $750 including disposal. This worker can provide Big O with paper quote to get price match as they have tires in stock unlike walmart. Donor will be able to contact Big O directly to provide payment once tires are installed. Worker is estimating cost as it is depending on disposal fees. This need is urgent as mother has multiple appointments scheduled over spring break for children.
I have a family of 8 in need of an 8 passenger van. hey are willing to pay $5000 for a vehicle but that is all they can afford at this point. They have one vehicle but they currently owe more on the vehicle than it is worth and are unable to trade it in for a larger vehicle. They would like to be able to attend school, church and other events together and having a larger vehicle would allow them to do so. If you have or know of anyone willing to sell or provide this family a reliable vehicle, it would be appreciated.

A wooden bed frame is needed for this child due to his previous bed made of plastic frames easily breaking. This child would benefit from a wooden bed frame as he is a growing boy and the wooden bed frame would last longer than a plastic frame.
Looking for a private landlord that is willing to take a chance on a mother of 4 that has no rental or credit history. This mother has overcome addiction and hardship to be able to reunite with her children. She is currently working three jobs in order to be able to provide a stable house for her children. The children are ready to be back in the house with their mother. The last step in being able to reunite this family is finding a permanent and stable living situation for them. The children are all over the age of 10 and would prefer to stay in the KC metro area in order to stay in their current schools. Mother would prefer to stay around Edwardsville, Bonner Springs/western Shawnee.

A sibling set of 5, with ages ranging 14 years old to newborn, have been placed with Grandma. Their aunt has to help out with transportation to and from school because Grandma does not have a vehicle that can transport all children at once. We are looking for a mini van or other vehicle that can safely transport 5 children and 1-2 adults. This is a reintegration case, but the children will likely be in relative care for the next 15 months or so. The vehicle is also something that will aid in a faster reintegration due to easing the complications of transport needs/visits/ etc. and help to establish permanency while keeping this sibling set together. * used vehicle is fine and the price does not have to be $10k.

We are working with a family that is in need of assistance with their rent. Mom and Dad have recently started new jobs and are unsure if they will receive paychecks in time for March rent. They are also behind on other bills and feeling overwhelmed. We are asking for help in paying this family's rent which will put them a great start in getting back on track now that they will both have incomes. The family has stated that they are grateful for any amount contributed towards this need. Thank you for considering this request and for your help in keeping families together!
A family of 4 children ages 11, 10, 8, and 7 and two adults are in need of a washer. The family's current washer has gone out and they asked for help with a new one. The youngest has special needs and placement finds it hard to manage doing the laundry at the laundry mat and managing the child at the same time. KVC is requesting assistance procuring them a working washer.
Hello! I have a young mother who is working reintegration with her 2 year old son. This mother was dealt such an awful hand at life-- she has dealt with chronic homelessness since age 16, began abusing drugs following her father's death, was in an extremely abusive relationship that led to the birth of her son, and had severe postpartum depression which led her to sign over a guardianship for her son. She has since started working reintegration to be reunited with her son and has made immense progress in just a few months; she was recently promoted to manager at her job, bought a car for herself, is engaging in therapy and substance use services, and recently was accepted into a 2bed/1bath apartment to accommodate herself and her son. She has done so much in just a short span of time which shows how committed she is to being a good mother to her son, and we would appreciate any assistance in helping her pay for her apartment deposit/help with her first month's rent. Any help is so appreciated!
Rachel:
I’d love to offer $100 to help this mom out with rent assistance. May God continue to bless her efforts in turning her life around and give her strength to continue down that path!
Hello! I have a teenager who is up next on the "Smiles Change Lives" waitlist, and will be getting braces soon. We are hoping to obtain assistance in paying for the deposit for this as she lives with a single foster mom/adoptive resource. This child's story is so heart wrenching-- she was forced to immigrate with her father from Guatemala, who eventually was arrested for physically abusing her to the point of her needing to be hospitalized. The father has since been deported, and my teen will be staying here in the US. She was such a scared and timid child who was really self-conscious about her appearance-- specifically her smile. She is SO excited for these braces, any help in paying for the deposit will be so appreciated!
This request is to help cover for half of an airline ticket for a child to spend spring break with his father. Dad has already bought the ticket but we are hoping to reimburse him for half the cost. Dad has not been able to see his son for 2.5 years due to a sticky separation with his son's mother. Dad is making the time to come to Kansas from Colorado at least once a month to see his son and this is a great opportunity for them to spend more time together. The child is super excited to spend this time with his dad. I know dad would be greatly appreciative with any help that could be given!
A soon to be 18-year-old boy in foster care is in need of a laptop so that he is able to pursue getting his GED. He is in need of the laptop to be able to take practice tests and study for his GED so that he is fully prepared when it is time to take his GED test. This is also a step that is needing to be completed so that he is able to age out of foster care with a form of education. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Grandma has placement of three of her grandsons from Missouri foster care, ages 16, 13, and 12. A pipe in her front yard burst and needed to be replaced. She then was hit with another large bill in December when she needed to fill her propane tank to heat the house. Grandma is needing financial assistance to help with these unexpected bills. This would allow her to avoid going deeper into debt and ensure the family will have heat.
