Foster mom has anywhere between 3 and 5 teenagers in her home at any given time. She works will all of her placements on independent living skills to include helping them get jobs and extra curriculars. Currently she has a 13 year old and 16 year old girl that would really benefit from bikes. The 16 year old is currently walking about a mile each way for work and a bike would significantly help in maintain this job. Additionally, the 16 year old helps watch the 13 year old over school breaks so a bike for each girl would be used during this time. Their foster mom has paid for them to have a gym membership that is within biking distance but she is not always available to transport them. Thank you!

Youth is working on their independent living skills and is needing a bike so that he can get to and from his summer job. This bike would also improve this child's life by providing transportation to the gym while his kinship providers are at work.

Family is in need of help in the form of a grocery store gift card who is in great need and well deserving! Here is their story: A cousin has been caring for 3 kids on our case, ages 8, 9, and 16. This cousin is also very young, but she has been doing an amazing job caring for these kids for quite some time now. She makes sure they attend school and also monitors the 16-year old's newly diagnosed diabetes. The last few months have been very stressful and difficult, and any help would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A single mother with 3 children will give birth to her 4th child in two weeks. This young woman has very little relational support in her life at this time and no family. Because her youngest child is well out of his baby years, this mama does not have many baby supplies and is still in need of a travel system. Having this larger cost item covered would allow her to transport the baby safely to appointments and outings, as well as allow her sparse income to go towards essentials like rent and groceries, ensuring she doesn't have to choose between feeding or housing her family. This client is moving into a Warren village and needs assistance with furniture and bedding. The parent is currently unemployed any help with any furniture new or used would greatly be appreciated by this family. They are in need of the following items: King size Box Spring, bedding for King size and girl bedding for a toddler bed, 2 dressers, dining room table for 4, couch, and window curtain. The family would be so thankful with any help and with anything new or used. (prices listed are average prices on Amazon, anything would be helpful)

This family consists of a single mom, living with her two daughters, one who is an adult and one who is a minor. This family has struggled with homelessness after leaving a domestic violence situation and is currently in stable housing. The mother is still struggling with her mental health after surviving the domestic violence and is unable to work at this time. The request of the family is for a washer and dryer, as their apartment has hookups, but no machines. This would greatly assist the family in saving money that would be used for getting to and utilizing a laundromat which is currently very frequent with two teenage girls. The time and money saved would be utilized for more pressing financial pressures that family is experiencing. If the expense is too high for both a washer and dryer, a washer would be preference.

Kinship provider is maternal grandmother. They are moving into a new home and she needs help with a rug and a dresser for her grandson. He is three years old. I have provided links to items below that would be great, or anything similar. Caseworker is happy to buy the items if a amazon gift card is provided.

Children are currently place in Kinship care with aunt and uncle who could use some support with these items as they have limited income. The kin family has been able to manage their household expenses without any assistance but now their household size has increased.

I am working with mother and her 5-year-old daughter who recently left their home seeking safety due to a domestic violence altercation between the mother and father. The 5-year-old unfortunately witnessed her mother suffer extensive physical abuse and has been trying to adapt to these changes. Thankfully, the mother and child were able to leave this unsafe home and sought safety with grandma. The mother and child have lost all of their things due to how quickly they had to flee their living situation. The mother is a single working mom and is having a hard time making ends meet while going through the court process related to the abuse she suffered. This mother desperately needs help with and getting basic needs met for her child, especially with clothing and food. Gift cards to places like Walmart or Target would make such a huge difference in the daily life of this family.

A teenage female was recently removed from her parent's care due to conflict in the home. Her biological brother is providing safe care for her, but all of her belongings were left behind at her mother's house and she is unwilling to let the teen return to the home to gather any personal belongings (jewelry, makeup, school supplies, electronics, personal items, gifts (blankets/stuffed animals) etc etc. The youth has literally one weeks' worth of clothing and no other personal items. Any support you can give can help this teenager regain her self-worth and feeling of independence. Skin care products;

The Denver Human Services’ Give Center is seeking shopping carts or bags with wheels to support food access for the children and families we serve. The Give Center serves close to 4,000 clients a year who need emergent resources – which include food. By providing the families we serve with food and a means to carry their food items with dignity — we take meaningful steps towards addressing hunger in our community.

Many of the parents, caregivers, and individuals who visit the GIVE Center lack access to reliable transportation, rely on public transit, or have disabilities that make it difficult to carry food. Having carts or wheeled bags readily available will help eliminate barriers and ensure that families—especially those with children—can safely and easily take food home. With your support, clients will be able to walk away not only with the food they need but with the means to carry it without added stress or hardship.
