We have a young, single mother of 3 children (ages 1, 4 and 5). She is experiencing unstable housing and financial stress. The mother is a victim of domestic violence and is trying to keep her children sheltered and safe from harm. The mother has been residing with the maternal grandmother in a single unit apartment with the children. The MGM put the mother and children out on yesterday and stole the mother’s food stamps from her EBT card. The mother is not able to purchase any food for herself and the children. She was able to get a room in Hollywood through PATH and is awaiting placement in a DV shelter. DCFS and the agencies involved with this family are working tirelessly to find a residence the mother and children. The mother can be reached on her cell phone and the CSW is able to correspond with the mother accordingly. We are hoping that a donor will pick up this request and provide the family with a $300.00 grocery gift card or purchase food for the family so that the mother and children do not go hungry.

This a grandmother caring for her 2yrs granddaughter and grandson 7yrs and 10yrs who are under DCFS, with her fixed income and the coast of living so high ,recently her care was in a hit and run when it was in parked, and since there was no witnessed the insurance would not cover the repairs, and being the only care she needed. she stated this really set me back financially,
My stove needs replacing. Only 2 burners are working. The refrigerator is freezing all the food they tried fixing it. They said it needed to be replaced.all my veggies and fruits got spoiled. I am sol provider and can”t afford to cove this two items

Caregiver age 57 she fell and broke her arm and was unable to work for a few weeks, and is going through a divorce is caring for her 1 nieces age 13 and nephew 10 under Foster care. She also has a daughter 17 and son 25 who help her alot with kids and house chores. She needs a stove. 3 burners are not working, only one burner is working. The three of the kids need their twin mattresses to be replaced. They are soft and uncomfortable and old.

The family is currently in dire need of gift cards (food4less or target) and a stroller for the one-month-old. Mother recently separated from the father of her youngest child who was their sole provider. In addition, mother is in need of a stroller for the infant and the purchase of a prepaid phone, as she was on a plan with father who is no longer in the home and providing support to the family.

This is an emergency situation involving two minors who were detained and placed with their paternal aunt. A previous request was made for bunk beds and two dressers. While one dresser has been received, an additional dresser is still needed to ensure both children have adequate storage space.

The paternal aunt continues to need support in providing a stable home environment.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Hello, I am working with a 12th grader that has been absent often due to the parent not having enough money for gas. The parent had surgery done and is possibly having a second surgery, the parent has been out of work due to her medical situation and is struggling to provide for her family. While the parent gets back on feet and starts back at work we would like to offer them a $400 gift card to help out with food, gas and other daily items they need. This will improve the well being of this student and sibling and also improve their attendance in school. We appreciate any help that can be provided for this family. Father is receiving Family Reunification services for his young son. He is requesting assistance with purchasing a Tracfone BLU View 5 pre-paid phone from Target to communicate with child, caregivers and social worker. Father is currently unemployed and is financially struggling as a single parent.

Youth who is 17 years old with behavioral issues is going back home to mother with the hope she achieves stability there. The plan is for youth to resume school and attend intensive services. Youth is missing clothing items that mother cannot afford at this time. Mother will be graduating from college and works part time. 

I am currently working with a 36-year-old female had a newborn infant 12 days ago. Client is successfully enrolled in Welcome Baby. Client is in urgent need for a car seat to take the baby to his appointment and able to move around easier. Client and her husband live in a small home with client's parents and her 3 children. They are going through financial hardship and have no means to purchase a car seat . Mother and her two girls, aged 9 and 5, are starting over. There was trauma in the family, which caused the mother harm. She took advantage of therapy and this family is now living in a smaller, one bedroom unit. They are happy to have each other and would appreciate any items from their list. One of the girl's favorite color is purple and the other child likes pink and tiffany blue.

Mother has requested learning games for her twin daughters. The mother is in a group home trying to reunify with her daughters. The mother stated that these learning toys could be used during her visits with her daughter, so she could also interact with them.
