Mother with 2 children is needing help getting their birth certificates so they can move into permanent housing. Mom had thought she had her sons, but realized they have been lost and she does not have the funds to get copies. Mom is working hard on personal goals to get into housing and we don't want this to be a barrier for her. Any amount towards this need is greatly appreciated.
Single mother with 4 children is needing assistance with gas for transportation. Her younger children have visitation with their father in Olathe, that mom is responsible to take them to, weekly. The children also all have therapy appointments, and it adds up to a lot of driving. She is looking for a job but will currently clean houses for income. She has not been able to make as much money recently and has used most of her other funds on bills. We are requesting a gas gift card to help with transportation funds.
Student moved to us from a neighboring district and does not live with her guardian. She is currently working towards being on the wrestling team but is unable to afford required equipment to be successful including head gear and shoes.

Single mom currently living in a motel room with her 1-year-old child is facing tough times right now and struggling financially. She is in need of a pack-n-play so that her child can have a comfortable, more suitable sleeping arrangement rather than bedsharing with mom. Mom and child will be living in motel for a while due to recent eviction, and mom has no sleeping accommodations appropriate for baby and cannot afford to buy one at this time.
DCCCA is working with a homeless family who have been living in a hotel. The mother has recently started working, DCCCA has helped the family obtain childcare, transportation for school, and is working to help with housing. The mom's mother's health is declining and is not expected to live much long so the mom has not been able to work this week or last between the holiday and being with her mother. Because of this the family is $350 short to pay the December hotel rent on Saturday (12/3). If you can help cover all or a portion of this need for the family it will allow them to continue to have a stable place to live while DCCCA continues to work with the family to secure more permanent housing and allow the mom to spend this week with her mother and not worry about working or losing their place to stay.
A caregiver needs help keeping her phone line turned on to remain in touch with her children while at work. Recently, one of her children has been struggling with some behaviors that require extra supervision. She had to call off work several times to remain with her child and has fallen behind on bills. Now she is able to return to work, but she needs to prioritize her phone so her child or the adult who is supervising can always reach her. Helping meet this request will help a caregiver be able to support her child and keep the family safe.

A grandmother is placement for her infant granddaughter who is starting to crawl. The grandmother is in need of a baby gate for the top of her stairs to ensure the baby's safety and to maintain placement. A gate that attaches to the wall is preferred so that her 2-year-old brother is unable to push through the gate. Please see link for example of need. Thank you!
I have a young fun loving male who is currently autistic, nonverbal and housed at a medical facility in the greater Kansas City Missouri area and he has been there for some time due to his mother also being chronically ill and she can not meet any of his medical, mental, or physical needs. She had to give care of him over to Children's Division to provide proper care and custody of him as she realized she is physically unable. This young man is currently in need of clothing such as sweat clothes than he can wear in the facility in which he is housed. He is in desperate need of sweat pants and sweat shirts in the size of Large. Underclothing is also a necessity in this request. The items requested will help get this young man through the winter as the weather is changing and wearing basketball shorts and t-shirts is becoming a not so viable option. Updated on December 01, 2022 by an Agency Worker This is very much a need for this sweet boy; especially as it is getting colder!

The family is in need of two tires for their car. They have wires coming out of two of their tires and have not gotten tires in a few years due to being short of funds. They recently have been able to start a new job that requires them to drive a lot more than they have been. So we are asking for tires for the family. The family has a Nissan Sentra 2012 and need a 205/55R16. They have priced a used tire and it would be about 50.00 each but new tires might be safer for the family as they are driving on the highway now. The price of two new tires would be about 140.00 for two at Discount Tires.

Parent in need of financial assistance. Mom is a single parent without employment, taking care of her special needs child. She currently owes $1500.00 in back rent. Mom has been served an eviction notice, but landlord will allow family to stay if mom can pay the back rent. Updated on November 21, 2022 by an Agency Worker Immediate need for $1560 for deposit and first months rent. Single mother with special needs child is being evicted Dec. 1. No alternative options, unless she can come up with a deposit and first month for new rental property.
Single mom with 6 kids under the age of 8, two of them being a 2 month old twins. One of the fathers is incarcerated as of 2021. The father of the newborn twins passed away before a month before the twins were born from a health condition. The family has been through a lot of change the last couple of years. Mom had planned on having double income to support her family but does not have that extra support now. Mom is trying to meet the needs of the kids while still working to have enough income to support her family and not be behind in rent. The 3 y/o has a seizure disorder and the 1.5 y/o just got diagnosed with Autism. Mom has a lot of kids and is requesting a dresser to put help with organization and separation of children’s clothes.
Grandma is the caregiver for the children in the family. She is living off of her social security and cannot afford to buy 2 new tires for her 2004 CRV. She indicated that her car also has an oil leak. Grandma does not have disposable income and with the holidays coming up it's even harder to afford all that they need.
Helping this family with tires and possibly with the oil leak will help them to have an easier and less stressful holiday season.
The car leak estimate is from a google search, it is not known what the cost would be to look into a repair. Tires would be closer to that $100 a piece number. Her car currently has Pirelli tires.

This request is for a relative placement out of state. They are anxiously awaiting ICPC to be completed so they can take placement. This is a young couple who are in need of everything baby. They do live in Delaware so if the items are purchased CD would asked that they are shipped to this family directly. However gift cards would work as well so this family can buy the things they want specifically. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.
For Safety & Cleaning they could really benefit from outlet covers, cabinet locks, and an oversized baby gate for the stairs. The gift card is to get the various other items needed in order to make placement
