A FAMILY IS NEEDING A/C FOR THEIR HOME!
There are four children in the home (1, 3, and 6 years old). The family’s central heat and air went out this week. The family got an A/C window unit, but that went out on them as well. The family is relying on two ceiling fans to try and cool off a three bedroom house. The family is also in need of a dresser for the children’s clothes.

Hello! Tulsa County recently removed a 13 year old female who will be staying in a Claremore, Rogers County foster home. This child was removed due to abandonment and was not allowed to take any clothing with her. We have found some items for her but it would mean a great deal to this child to have something to claim as her own.
She is sweet, kind, and when you first meet her she lights up the room. She has hopes and dreams to become a forensic pathologist and loves all animals. She enjoys the color pink. When speaking with her she believes that the size clothing that she wears is around a size Small-Medium in shirts and size 0-3 in pants. She is currently wearing a 14/16 in children sizes that are a little small. She also wears a size 7.5 in shoes. She is such a fantastic kid. I know with the communities help it would be a great encouragement to help her with these needs.
We as a community can help make this child feel loved and know that she is not in this alone. Thank you for all your assistance!

I have a mom on my caseload who was in a severe domestic violent relationship and has since left that relationship. She has been diligently working her plan and correcting the conditions to make her home safe for her and her kids who are now placed back in her home. Mom is employed full-time, however due to the adjustment of the children in the home and her having to take off a few hours a week to attend counseling along with extra expenses, finances have been strained and she is short on paying her rent that is due June 5th. The full rent amount is $800, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Updated on May 31, 2023 by an Agency Worker The mom was able to come up with most of the rent money, but is short $200. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon. I’m Christina Flowers, a school-based specialist with Union Public Schools. I’m currently working with a family that consists of a single mother with five children 7 years old and younger. This mom recently started a new job and fell behind on her rent while in between jobs. She was also making large payments toward a debt she owed to avoid garnishment. This single mother agreed to a settlement for this debt that required her to pay a certain amount with the balance being written off. She has reached out to multiple resources provided to her but has been unsuccessful with receiving assistance. This mother is seeking assistance to help her family remain in their home. She stated with assistance she’ll be able to maintain her rent moving forward. The monthly rent is $1200, the outstanding balance is $2750, but any amount will be greatly appreciated.

The parents are needing assistance with their maintenance cost for their vehicle. The parents have scheduled court dates that they will need to attend. They are also struggling with getting to and from work. Mom and dad does not have family in the Tulsa area that would be able to assist them at this time. A family is preparing for reunification with their 4 year old baby girl. The parents are having a difficult time with finance. The parents are experiencing barriers that are preventing them to reunify with their baby girl. The parents have applied for multiple apartments. Due to having an overdue balance in their previous apartment complex, they are getting denied. The parents are living in a Motel, that is costing them $300 a week. The parents cannot afford the hotel cost this week and will be sleeping in their vehicle. If anyone could help with contributions for the motel this week, mom and dad would be able to save over time to pay off their balance at the previous apartment complex. Their baby girl will not be able to reunify permanently with mom and dad at a motel. The parents would be grateful for any contributions to help them pay for the motel that they are staying in.

We have a teenager that really needs some help to keep herself focused and to be able to apply a coping skill for her, which is music. Music is what helps her but she has nothing to listen to her music with. We have been told that others have MP3 players. The teenager would really appreciate to have a MP3 player so she can use that coping skill.

We are in the process of reunifying a mother and her young daughter. This little girl has not been in custody for very long, but her mother has committed herself fully to changing the conditions that brought her into custody in order to bring her daughter home. As this mom is without a driver's license or vehicle, we have provided her with a bus pass to assist with transportation. In order to assist further, this mom has requested a bicycle to use for independent transportation as well. This request is for a bicycle with a basket for an adult woman. Any help is greatly appreciated! This request can be fulfilled via donation as well, we do not need a brand new bicycle. If anyone has a spare that would fit an adult woman (about 5 foot 5 inches tall), that would work as well!
