Sacred Heart-St. Casimir Parish

This request is to help a single mother and her elementary student furnish their new apartment. The family arrived in the United States one year ago and were residing with extended family in a 2-bedroom apartment. Due to domestic violence, the family left and through the support of CarePortal, were able to secure their own apartment. The family does not have the financial means to furnish their new space. The family does not have living room furniture such as a couch or chairs. A staff member at the student's school has offered to donate those items, however we do not currently have a way to transport them to the family. The family also is in need of kitchen utensils and cookware, plates, bowls, and cups, two dressers, kitchen chairs, and cleaning supplies. They currently do not own any cleaning items to be able to use.

We are requesting your amazing support with a wide baby/toddler gate. The doorway is 3'2' wide, and it would need to be a tall one. The sassy twins on this need, have crawled over the one they had multiple times and unfortunately led to unwanted incidents. Our intention is to keep these beautiful twins safe and away from dangerous situations. Please consider helping us out as we navigate the social work aspect of this case. Older youth is moving into his first apartment on 5/15 and is set to age out of care on 6/19. Agency is working on gathering furniture and resources he will need to support him in his new apartment and set him up for success before he ages out of care. Area programs for beds have a waitlist. Youth is in need of a bedframe and mattress.

Hello team, we are reaching out to request help for Mrs. J and her three wonderful kiddos. It is the end of the month, and agencies such as Catholic charities, Eckan, and Salvation Army have run out of funds. Mrs. J is kindly requesting help with her $200 dollar housing payment as she had unexpected bills and a hardship this past month. Help a family care for newborn twins!

Born only a month ago, 2 boys were given to their aunt straight from the hospital. The family is looking for bassinets to have an adequate place for the babies to sleep. The family lives in a single level home and has little space, because of this they are looking for two bassinets rather than full cribs.

Grandmother has recently taken in her 4-year-old granddaughter and 7-year-old grandson. They would like to request some clothing for this summer. The 4-year-old girl is wearing size 10/12 and loves dresses. The 7-year-old boy wears a size 10/12. Grandmother has requested a card table and chair set. The home is small, and they would like to be able to fold up the table and chairs when needed. Grandmother has also requested a sturdy hanging clothing rack to use for the children's clothing, as she does not have a closet. The home is located in Leavenworth, KS.
