A mother and her children are fleeing a domestic violence situation, and his home was the home they were living in but the utilities are in her name. She has notified the Evergy and KCMO water that she is not living there anymore. She needs $210 for apartment admin fees and she needs to bring the electric and water current so they can transfer to her at the new place. She has moved hotels twice to stay away from her abuser, and she is going to start counseling services once she is stable in her living arrangement.

She is helping herself and needs a little more help, not a handout, but a hand up. Children's Division saw the family in a hotel yesterday and they have gone to shelters for food. The mother has a stable job and if she can get the help with these needs, she will be on her way to financial independence and not reliant on her abuser for shelter.

A foster family currently has multiple children in their home with varying ages from different families. The placement has two pack and plays, but has been told they are needing to obtain cribs for two of the children in their home. One of the children in the home has a sibling in the home. All of the children in the home have bonded with both of the infants and would be very sad to see them leave if the children are not leaving to return to their parents.

The family just had a baby a week ago and is need of formula.

We have recently placed a toddler and infant in the home with their mother. The family does not have a washing machine. The washing machine would help the family as small children can create a lot of laundry. The family resides in an upper apartment and it is difficult to bring all the laundry to a laundry mat while having two young children to care for.

Mom is in need of a new carpet and some new furniture. Mom has tried to clean up the carpet, but every time she attempts to clean it, it still get messy. Mom is wanting to get rid of it entirely, but doesn't have the funds. Mom also lacks some furniture in the home and could use help getting a couch or two.

This family is currently in a Temporary Alternative Placement Agreement with Children's Division. The great grandmother of the child has taken full caretaking responsibility while the father works on substance abuse treatment. The new addition to the great grandmothers responsibilities has taxed her ability to financially make ends meet. The child needs to attend daycare so the great grandmother can work during the day and recently she paid for the childs daycare from her funds saved for rent.

By helping make up the funds she needed to take from her rent and paying for the remaining balance of the daycare this family will continue to care for the 3 year old child with autism while the father receives the substance abuse treatment he desperately needs.

Good afternoon I am requesting community support to get some work clothes for a older youth on my caseload. My youth in question is 18 and is in the custody of the MO Children's Division. My youth recently start a paid work training program in Kansas City, and she needs some work clothes including (jeans, t-shirts, maybe work boots, etc.) things that can get dirty as she is working in a Trade Shop doing woodwork and welding. If possible, my youth would like to try the clothes on first before getting them. My youth has stated she would like a $100 gift card to Walmart or another cheap location where she can get some of these items.

A couch and dresser would also be helpful; however, the beds are the families first ask. The mother has a little more work to do to get back on her feet, and assistance with this inconvenient setback would go a long way helping the family become independent.

This is a family that has been working with Children's Division for several months now and has been trying to clean the home without much success. They have requested assistance with getting a dumpster so they can remove clutter and other things they do not need in order to get the house truly clean.

With the house clean the family will be able to work on other problems and will be one huge step closer to thriving again.

This family is currently working with Children's Division through Family Centered Services and the children are out of the home and with relatives due to the conditions of the home.
