Mother is a single parent with two children ages 6 and 9. The youngest child is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. He is receiving regional center care and mother is trying to get home ABA hours and at home assistance. Mother informed CSW she does not receive any support from the father. Mother stated they are currently going through mediation with family court. Mother works three jobs and indicated it is still not enough to pay rent and take care of her children necessities. Mother is 27 years old. Mother lives on her own in a one bedroom apartment with her two children. Mother mentioned she continued to get denied for EBT. Mother is struggling and is open to receiving anything that can help her and her family, like groceries, essentials and necessities for the children such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, food. We have a young, single mother of 3 children (ages 1, 4 and 5). She is experiencing unstable housing and financial stress. The mother is a victim of domestic violence and is trying to keep her children sheltered and safe from harm. The mother has been residing with the maternal grandmother in a single unit apartment with the children. The MGM put the mother and children out on yesterday and stole the mother’s food stamps from her EBT card. The mother is not able to purchase any food for herself and the children. She was able to get a room in Hollywood through PATH and is awaiting placement in a DV shelter. DCFS and the agencies involved with this family are working tirelessly to find a residence the mother and children. The mother can be reached on her cell phone and the CSW is able to correspond with the mother accordingly. We are hoping that a donor will pick up this request and provide the family with a $300.00 grocery gift card or purchase food for the family so that the mother and children do not go hungry.

We have a mother who has a six-month old baby that is teething. The mother is very resilient and is thriving with all of her programs she is involved in. She is a domestic violence survivor and is using her experience to build and grow within her life. She is in therapy to address the concerns that brought her family to the attention of the Department. She is a domestic violence survivor. She is a good mother who truly cares for her daughter. During our meetings the baby is always smiling and giggling. Recently, the baby began teething and is in need of hypoallergenic-silicon weaning cups, baby spoons, feeding set, and food making system (NutriBullet). I am in hopes that some of these items can possibly make it to her.

This is an emergency situation involving two minors who were detained and placed with their paternal aunt. A previous request was made for bunk beds and two dressers. While one dresser has been received, an additional dresser is still needed to ensure both children have adequate storage space.

The paternal aunt continues to need support in providing a stable home environment.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Hello, I am working with a 12th grader that has been absent often due to the parent not having enough money for gas. The parent had surgery done and is possibly having a second surgery, the parent has been out of work due to her medical situation and is struggling to provide for her family. While the parent gets back on feet and starts back at work we would like to offer them a $400 gift card to help out with food, gas and other daily items they need. This will improve the well being of this student and sibling and also improve their attendance in school. We appreciate any help that can be provided for this family. An Aunt who is currently a Foster Parent for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece needs help with paying a utility bill. The caregiver is a single woman doing her best to provide for 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. She has been caring for her niece and nephew since January of this year and has fallen behind on her utility bill, if this is not paid the Department of Water and Power will turn off services (the electricity and water) and the child will possibly lose her stable home that she has had for them within the last five months. The Foster Parent/Aunt is in desperate need of assistance with paying her utility bill to keep providing a stable, loving and safe home for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. When this need is met the aunt will be grateful for this assistance and her niece and nephew will not be in jeopardy of being taken out of the current home, they have been living in for the past five months, the 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece will stay in the safe, loving environment with their aunt.

Father is receiving Family Reunification services for his young son. He is requesting assistance with purchasing a Tracfone BLU View 5 pre-paid phone from Target to communicate with child, caregivers and social worker. Father is currently unemployed and is financially struggling as a single parent.

Mother has finished all of her services and is awaiting her final judgement. Her last obstacle is paying off her traffic tickets. The current amount owed is $637.00. Taking care of this debt would help her get her driver's license back and allow her to drive her children and potentially work as an Uber driver. She is struggling financially and does not have the means to pay her tickets.

Youth who is 17 years old with behavioral issues is going back home to mother with the hope she achieves stability there. The plan is for youth to resume school and attend intensive services. Youth is missing clothing items that mother cannot afford at this time. Mother will be graduating from college and works part time. 

Hello, We have a family of 3 that is currently going through a very difficult time. The mother is currently staying at a homeless shelter with her daughter of 12 and a younger sibling. She currently has a very limited income due to lack of work and they are unable to find adequate housing and consistent availability of affordable food. We are requesting a $500 grocery card for the family to at least be able to purchase food for a period of time. Additionally, any resources regarding how we can help the family would be greatly appreciated. This would help family utilize funds to continue to survive while we explore solutions. Mother and her two girls, aged 9 and 5, are starting over. There was trauma in the family, which caused the mother harm. She took advantage of therapy and this family is now living in a smaller, one bedroom unit. They are happy to have each other and would appreciate any items from their list. One of the girl's favorite color is purple and the other child likes pink and tiffany blue.
