This family is at a turning point with the mother securing approval for an apartment, but they are currently staying with a friend and face the challenge of moving in without many belongings. Once they settle into their new home, they will have to make do with sleeping on the floor. We are reaching out to seek your support in providing some necessities for this family as they begin to rebuild their lives. Your kindness can offer them not only the essentials they need but also a sense of peace and a glimpse of a positive environment during this difficult time.

I have a 14 year old autistic child that is moving from a kinship placement to another kinship placement as he needs to be with family. The department has already placed his cousin there and he visits on weekends. He will be sharing a room with his other cousin. The family is in need of assistance with obtaining a bed for him and since the children will be sharing a room, a set of bunk beds would work perfectly for this family. Any assistance for this family is greatly appreciated.

A Mother of one that is 17 weeks pregnant experienced a DV situation that has her wanting to get assistance with relocating and expressed needs for assistance with preparing for her new child. She could use assistance with her past due utility bill and with a safe place for her child to sleep. She also wants to get help with becoming a part of a healthy church family and community to raise her children in.

Child Protective Services, Connecting Forward and Goodwill Career Solutions are working with a single mother of 5 children who is homeless and residing in a hotel. The mother reached out to ask for help with gas and clothing. She is working hard to become stable again and has applications for housing with multiple programs. The family needs community supports and connections to be successful. The mother is unemployed at this time but does have reliable transportation. She is currently working on gainful employment to help support her family better. She is in need of new clothing for herself for job interviews. She only has a few changes of clothes. She has been so worried about her situation and her children she was afraid to ask for help. Any assistance or support in meeting this need is appreciated!

Careportal recently assisted a single mother of 4 with getting her truck towed to Tire World in Lavergne to be inspected by Mechanics on a Mission for repairs. It was discovered the cost to repair is more than the vehicle is worth. This mother is in need of reliable transportation. She has not been able to work in the last several months due to a severe health episode with her oldest son. The situation is stable now but the back and forth to the hospital caused the vehicle to break down. Mechanics on a Mission would like to work with us to gift this mother a vehicle suitable for her family. It would be a great resource and allow the mother to return to work. The donation requirement to gift a vehicle through Mechanics on a Mission is $2500. We are asking for help in making the difference in this family's life and to set them up for success.

Grandparents have taken in their great-grandson and have provided everything he needs. They could use some assistance with food and hygiene products.

The Department is currently working with a family of 8 who lives in Bedford County. The family was dealing with environmental concerns and had to throw away their beds. We completed a walkthrough of the home in which the family cleaned up the environmental issues. They are now in need of two bunk beds, and a toddler bed. They also need mattresses for all the beds. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of the children, this request is being made. Any help for this family is greatly appreciated!
