Single mother of 2 young children with a baby due in June. She was homeless but was able to move into housing and keep her children with her. She is in need of 2 car seats for her kids, currently she is unable to drive because she cannot afford car seats. She is a great mom that has worked hard to give her kids a new life but now she needs to make sure she is able to transport them safely. Here are the links to the type of car seat she is needing. These kids have experienced a hard life, and we would love to see them thrive and feel safe and this is a great start to aid in supporting them. Mother is receiving family reunification services through the Department of Children and Family Services. Mother has made substantial progress in addressing her issues and has complied with all of DCFS and Court ordered treatment plan. However, mother does not have stable housing. She reports she is temporarily staying with different friends but mother states their home is not able to accommodate her elementary and middle school age children. Mother does not have the adequate housing nor the resources to secure alternate housing to provide to her children so that she may safely care for them, if children are return to her care. Mother is undocumented. Court has granted overnight visits and the visits may take place in a hotel. The mother is asking if anyone can provide her with a gift card to be use to pay for a hotel. Mother has to show that she is able to care for her children during her visits. Mother would greatly appreciated and the children.

Please help us preserve a Kinship placement. A grandmother has cared for her granddaughter for over 3 years, but is now struggling financially. She needs assistance getting tires and a wheel alignment for her car which is her only means of transportation. Grandmother uses her vehicle to safely transport her granddaughter to and from school, therapy appointments and other court orders several times a week.

The family lives in orange county and has to travel all over for services / court orders, including to LA County. Grandmother is retired and has a fixed income. She responsibly uses her income to pay for essentials for the minor and funds extracurricular activities for her granddaughter to participate in during their visits. Over the past 3 years, grandmother has successfully focused her resources on caring for her granddaughter.

Recently the minor’s therapist recommended the minor to be enrolled in a school program that provides therapeutic services for children on the Autism spectrum. Grandmother is required to pay a portion of the weekly tuition, and this additional cost has limited Grandmother's ability to address this need without assistance. The cost of the new tires is $790.30, and the wheel alignment is $129.99 for a total cost of $920.29 that can be paid directly to the vendor. Your assistance with helping grandmother replace her car tires so that she could continue providing a safe environment to her grandchild would be greatly appreciated.

I am reaching out on behalf of a dedicated caregiver who is in urgent need of support. This caregiver lovingly cares for a young child (Almost 2) with autism and is currently facing a significant challenge. After a recent surgery, the caregiver is unable to safely carry or support the child while using their current umbrella stroller, which offers limited support and stability.

To ensure the child’s safety and comfort—and to help the caregiver manage day-to-day outings—we are requesting assistance in providing a full-size stroller. A sturdier stroller will allow for better support for the child and reduce physical strain on the caregiver during recovery.

This act of kindness will make a world of difference for a family navigating both medical recovery and the daily responsibilities of raising a child with unique needs.

A counselor at a local high school shared a need for a local family. The family was displaced, and did seek a motel voucher from the district. Thankfully they're back in an apartment, but the mom shared they're in need of a stove.The oldest a senior at the high school and there are two younger brothers. The family is requesting help in getting a gas stove.

NMD has maintained steady employment for years and now works with a large tech company. She has been a very respectful, responsible, communicative, independent, and a resilient young adult. This assistance will further her ability to become self-sufficient as she is well deserving of the help with her success in maintaining compliance with the department and should be rewarded for her great works and commitment to not only remaining eligible for services, but most of all progress for herself. She is in need of assistance in her transition out of her current home and into assisted living. She is in need of shirts, pants shoes and hygiene products.

The family has a history of homelessness. The family just recently moved into a new apartment. Mother and the children have no furniture nor beds. The family is currently sleeping on the floor on top of blankets. Which it is very uncomfortable for the children to get a good night's rest and be prepared for school. The family does not have any couches or a dining room table. The mother will be greatly appreciative with assistance with beds or furniture for her new home, which will provide a safe and stable living home for the children. A Walmart gift card could assist with some bunkbeds or pull-out couch for the children to sleep on.

Single mother currently has an open DCFS case related to domestic violence. At this time, the mother has her child in her care and is actively participating in all required case plan services. She is currently unemployed and is in urgent need of assistance with transportation. Specifically, she requires a gas card to help her transport her child to court-mandated visits with the father. Due to the child’s autism diagnosis, public transportation is not a viable option for these visits. Providing her with a gas card would greatly ease her stress, support her compliance with the case plan, and allow her to better focus on both her services and reassuring her child during these challenging times.

Please help us strengthen a bio-family. The mother is a A victim of domestic violence and single mother of two children ages two and six. Mother works, however her income is very low and she is barely making ends meet. She desperately needs assistance with diapers and groceries. By providing diapers for her two-year-old daughter and groceries to both girls. By receiving this help Mother will be able to keep her children in her care by showing she is able to provide and help expedite the termination of an open court case.

The mother and her child (with developmental disabilities) has experience Domestic Violence and had to relocate into the maternal grandparents' apartment. During this time, the mother has been unable to work and has had many setbacks and is working through them, with the help of her therapist. The mother has reported that she is striving to do better and wants to be a better person for her children.
