I have a family who is currently in an emergency housing situation. The family consists of a single mom with three children. The student is in 8th grade on my campus, but he also has a brother in 12th grade, and a brother that is too young for school. The family was just evicted from their housing situation, and they are staying at a hotel with no mode of transportation or funds. The family is in need of 200.00 dollars to be able to stay in a two bedroom hotel room for the week while they figure out a more permanent option. As of right now, both students are unable to attend school and all four family members are sharing one hotel room. The family's need is very urgent. Any assistance that can be offered is greatly appreciated.
I have a mother of three children who is pregnant with her fourth child. She is due October 30. She is in need of baby items for her unborn child. She has not been able to find a job due to being pregnant, but she also has to take care of two children during the day whom are not school aged. Father just started a job recently, but the majority of his check goes to bills and things that the family needs during the month.
She is having a girl. She is needing a car seat, blankets/receiving blankets, diapers (size newborn and 1) and clothes for her (size 0-3m fall/winter clothes and 3-6 m winter clothes).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a mother of a 14 year old, who is in desperate need of food. The family has been homeless for over 18 months. We have paid for them to be in a hotel for two weeks. Mom receives disability and her girlfriend does work, but they currently do not have any money. They are trying to find a local food bank to go to, but they do not have a car, and do not have any money for transportation. We have not found any that will transport food to them yet. They had food stamps up until the last month, but they did not renew the application before their benefits expired. They have since reapplied and are waiting for them to be approved. The food will need to be dropped off to them.
Looking for help for a fictive kin placement who is taking permanent custody of two children, but is needing help with daycare to maintain permanent care. Due to a freeze in state funding for daycare, the family cannot get help from the state to fund the daycare. The two young children are under 5 and are very happy and comfortable in the home. They are well taken care of and the caretaker can afford to meet their daily needs while working full time, but cannot afford to also pay for daycare. Without daycare they would not be able to work and afford to take care of the kids whom they love dearly and want to keep out of the foster care system. This family is hoping for help from the community to assist with daycare for at least the next six months until they can get further daycare. The cost of daycare is extremely high for all families in today's world and we are hopeful that those who are able will help contribute to meeting these children's needs. The daycare that they attend helps them with learning educationally and with social skills. The total cost of daycare without assistance for the two children is about $2,300 a month. For six months to be fully covered, they would need $13,800
17 year old teen mom is in need of laptop in order to complete high school. Youth is enrolled in a nom-traditional school setting that will support youth in graduating high school on time. Youth has fallen behind in school due to being a mom and student simultaneously. Youth is an amazing mother and really tries hard to succeed. A laptop will further help youth reach her academic goals in order to further support her transition out of foster care.
Young mother and father with two children (2-year-old boy, 4-month-old boy) are needing help to maintain home for their small children. Children needs clothing and beds. (2-year-old needs size 2t)
Hello,
I have a single mother with 4 kids that are in desperate need of a bunk bed and two twin size mattresses. Mom was just approved for housing and is in need of furniture.
Thank you kindly!
Summary: Family of middle school student requesting help with groceries and utility bills.
Context: Student comes from a single-parent household, where Mom is a dedicated educator struggling to make ends meet. In the past, the family has struggled with stable housing, but through their hard work and determination, they have improved their situation significantly. However, the start of school has put a strain on their resources, and they are needing help with groceries and their electricity bill. If this need was met even partially, it would help both the student and Mom maintain the stability and wellbeing they have worked so hard to achieve.
There is a single mother with with twins who have recently got her children returned to her. The case is currently on a monitor to return and we are hoping to avoid removing the children again. The mother is months behind on rent and could possibly be evicted soon if she does not make payment. The mother does not have any financial assistance from her family and is trying to do everything on her own. Financial assistance with her rent can help prevent a removal of the children and them coming back into foster care.
Single mom of 3 needs assistance. Her youngest child (5 years old), has disabilities and is medically fragile and has limited mobility. Mom works but often stated she often struggles to make ends meet. Currently she was unable to pay her phone bill so school has no way to contact her should her child have a medical emergency. She has a monthly bill of $70 with Metro PCS and also mentioned struggles with making rent at times.
She is also in need of a wheelchair that can help her meet her child's needs. Currently she carries her child from the car to the class (and other places she needs to get him to) due to not having a wheelchair for her child. The wheelchair would need to have a chest harness and a seatbelt to meet his medical needs.
Please help this young family in need keep their apartment. My clients are Spanish speaking refugees from Venezuela and just had a baby. and need help. The parents are very young but doing everything they can to become American citizens and raise their child. Due to the fathers age, he is struggling with a job even though he’s a high school graduate in.Venezuela. This family is facing eviction if they do not get this help! Please help this family keep their child’s home.
A hard of hearing mother is experiencing financial difficulties, and the children are in need of clothing and shoes due to outgrowing things. The mother is going through a divorce and trying her best. The family consists of 10-year-old and 9-year-old male along with 13-year-old female child. 1 male child wears size 14/16 in shirts/pants and 5 in shoes. The other male child wears 10/12 in shirts/pants and 5 in shoes. 1 female child wears 14/16 in shirts/pants and 6-1/2 in shoes. One of the male children is need of a twin bed/mattress due to not having any bedding. The female child is also needing menstrual pads due to her mother having a hard time keeping up with her feminine products.
Single mom of three girls who depend financially mom's income. One in high school and twins in middle school all in DISD. Mom has recently completed a masters degree and is applying for jobs as we speak, Unfortunately, she has not had any offers at the moment. The family is in need of financial support for past due rent and a upcoming electricity bill. The family is very grateful to God for any support, and don't want to be evicted. mom has applied for all types of help from, DISD, City of Dallas, and has not received assistance at this time. We can provide additional information if requested. Thanks you in advance for any and all help; the family is Praying for a miracle..
We had a mother come in this afternoon (8/29) sharing that her and her two children (elementary and middle- GCISD) will be evicted tomorrow (8/30) if they do not come up with the rent for the past 3 months. We are looking into trying to get them temporary housing while they try to get into a more permanent situation. Hotel/motel vouchers would be super helpful. The mother has had her car repossessed by the bank and is now borrowing from someone. She would benefit from a gas card in the mean time to get to her new job.
A single mom with a teenage son has allowed a friend/single mom and her two children to move into their apartment. There is not room for extra beds, but an queen size air mattress for the second mom, storage bins for clothes, and children's clothes themselves would help these two families organize the space they are sharing.
Kinship caregiver (cousin) took in 4 children and has gotten them the basic essentials however, this has placed a major financial burden on the family and limits on buying anything out of the budget. With a total of 8 children in the home and a single mother raising them she has requested assistance with 2 girls bikes so they can all play outside. The other children have bikes but it leaves 2 of them not being able to participate because of that.
The students of Carter High School have several students who are in low income households who are in critical need of School uninform shirts. Without students being in proper uniform they are unable to attend classes. Having this need met will keep children in classes and help with emotional well-being of the students by knowing they are in uniform. We are requesting 50 Blue Polo style shirts. Sizes are adult small, medium, and large.

A single mom is living temporarily with a family/family friend, and she is needing some support with basic needs for her children, especially while she is waiting for government assistance to go through. Her 2 adolescent daughters are in need of some clothes that fit them (at least a couple shirts and pants) for school and undergarments/socks, and her baby is in need of clothes and diapers. She would be grateful for any assistance during this time. She would gladly accept gift cards and/or we can provide sizes for the clothes.
I have a single mother with 5 children, ranging from high school age through elementary age. The family is currently living in their car, and with this Texas heat I am worried about them being able to keep cool. Mom has been trying to get the children to stay at friends' houses for relief. Mother has been calling shelters daily, but her two oldest children are males in highschool and the shelters will not allow them to stay in the women and children's shelter. Or the shelter will tell Mother that she has too many children, and the shelter does not have enough beds for them.
There is a weekly hotel nearby, for $550 the week or $2,200 for the month. Any amount of assistance would be appreciated.
The number one need is for stable housing for this family. Do any churches have an apartment or a space they family could live in until Mom is able to get on her feet?
Our fully accredited high school serves 27 students who have not been successful in traditional educational settings. Many of our students face homelessness and lack of involvement with caring adults and parents. We have full "wrap around" case management to help each student succeed. Our students need pants in order to meet our dress code. Students need black or khaki pants with no holes or rips.
