We have a 2nd grade student whose family is at the risk of becoming homeless due to being unable to meet their rent this month. His homeroom teacher shared with me the concern mom brought to her attention yesterday evening and reached out to me to see what we can do to help this family. Mom shared that her rent is about $2,000 and is not able to cover the entire amount and it was already due at the beginning of this month. If anyone is able to help in any way, the help would be greatly appreciated.
2 students that are new to our school district are in need of clothing. Middle school girl with shirt size (small), pants size (12-14 youth), shoe size (5 1/2). Elementary school girl with shirt size ( youth medium), pants size (10 youth) and shoe size (4).
Family is thankful for receiving a gift card or the clothing.
We have a second grade student that lives with grandparents as his mother is currently incarcerated. They are also raising his oldest sister in high school and briefly had his middle sister with them before she needed additional mental health support elsewhere. The grandparents have recently found themselves in a dire financial situation for a variety of reasons. This second grade student experiences behavioral concerns here at school that administration, counselor, classroom teachers, and additional support have been working with him and the family on. This additional financial stress could be further hindering any improvements in behavior and academics as he is usually very aware of circumstances within the home. They are looking for any financial relief that can be offered or donated at this time and will be following-up with possible on-going assistance. She included estimates for the bills causing the most distress. The student is also in need of glasses, potential further mental health support outside of school, and more that we have been finding other reprieve for the family.
A caregiver needs help to break down and remove a trampoline from her backyard so she can be licensed to adopt her nephew. Person will need tools and a large truck to haul the trampoline.
This homeless family (mom and two young children) has moved in with another family whose finances were already tight. Bedding and storage is needed. They are looking forward to a queen size air mattress, sheets, and plastic storage bins.
Young adult is needing transportation help to get their child to and from daycare as they work. Young adult needs bus passes for the Fort Worth transportation system or Uber passes/gift cards so they can get their child to daycare and get back to work on time. Young adult is getting ready to age out, and will need help with getting on a routine to transport within their community without a vehicle to meet the needs of themselves and their child.
Mom needs assistance with her gas bill.
Mom is struggling to cover expenses. She is a single mother with several felonies. She is not able to find work.
Single mother of two needs food and assistance with her bill. Her refrigerator stopped working and she had to throw all the groceries out. She is yet to get a new refrigerator as she is waiting on her landlord. She is requesting gift card to fast food or restaurant. Mother has also been dealing with transporting child back and forth from therapy sessions and has misses hours of work. Mother needs assistance with paying electricity bill $194.26
Family with two children is in need of a fridge. Family's fridge recently stopped working, and they are not able to afford a new one. Although they currently have non perishable items for food, they are not able to store other perishable food items they need until they get a fridge.
The family consists of a mother and her 8 year old child who recently moved to the area after leaving a domestic violence situation with the child's father. They had to leave suddenly and do not have many belongings. Mom was not allowed to work, drive, or finish her education, so she has been very isolated for years. The boy is medically fragile, so mom takes care of his medical needs 24/7.
Mom uses leftover money from the child's disability check to buy groceries for him. Due to his medical issues, he needs to eat only fresh produce and meat. Mom has said that groceries are what they always need the most, and food banks can only provide their shelf stable items. Mom says any fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat (NO pork - the family is Muslim) would be greatly appreciated.

There are resources made available from the community. We are taking the lead and working out the details.

A neighbor provided a twin mattress the child can use, but the frame is broken and he needs a new bed.
The kinship caregivers are requesting assistance in getting a stroller for their two-year-old niece that has been placed in their care. The caregivers take their niece with them when they leave their home and a stroller would help keep their niece safe in a contained area while they are out in public walking, shopping and participating in various events. The caregivers had bought a large number of items for their niece to make her feel comfortable in their home and to provide for her basic needs. They do not have the funds at this time to purchase a stroller on their own.
This request is for a 17yo student that resides with 3 other siblings and a single parent. I became aware of this student's need by a school counselor. I have connected with the family and have identified that this family is in need of and can benefit from financial assistance with an overdue utility bill from the summer. I am aware that this family has been struggling financially while the parent searched for employment. Parent stated that they are now employed and starts today. Parent stated that the financial assistance would be more so to catch up with their overdue balance of $500 for electricity from the summer. If not all can be covered, any funds toward their balance would greatly be appreciated. Thank you for your support and for your consideration in meeting this need.
The child has recently been reunified with her parents and half sibling. The family has done a great job with maintaining their housing, sobriety and employment. The case will be closing soon and I would like to create a reunification basket to the family.
Necessities: Kids shampoo, Kids conditioner, Kids body wash( Loreal, Sauve, Dove)
Family interest: Board games, books, fishing and baking.
This student is a 2nd grader who lives a mile away from the school. Her walk would be a 20-minute walk by herself, crossing major roads to return home. Her mother is not able to get off work to pick her up, no one else in the home drives, and the school bus doesn't pick up anyone within a 2-mile radius. This student desperately needs to be at school each day. When her mother is not able to pick her up due to her work schedule, the student does not come to school. The family is in need of funds to pay for after-school care each month.
EDP is $377 per month or $3,016 for the year.
My 17 year old student is a fantastic mother to a two year old girl who is in need of clothing for sizes 18months. My student is living at home with mom and helps around the house, parents and comes to school. She will graduate early even with all the responsibilities she has. It would be amazing if you wanted to provide a Walmart giftccard to help with her expenses as well.
I have a family who are not US Citizens, so many of the resources available cannot be accessed by this family. Recently the mother has become ill and cannot work as much as typical. As such, she is paying full price for medications (which are not typical expenses on previous income). I would love to get any help possible for the family. Two ways I believe this is possible is by paying the baseball registration for the elementary brother of my student at the cost of $140. Additionally, gas cards in order to help alleviate the cost of living in the amount of $200. This would allow mom to get to and from work.

I saw an email stating that a community responder in zip code 76108 needed help delivering the gas cards and fee to the family. If he still needs someone local to the family to help deliver those resources, please let me know.
I have three middle school aged boys whose mother was evicted from their apartment for financial reasons. he boys were taken in by their adult brother, to ensure their school was not disrupted. Mother is living with a friend. The adult brother is having a hard time making ends meet with three new people in the house. I am connecting the family with food resources, but the boys need shoes for athletics and clothing for school. We are in need of 3 Athletic shoes Nike or Adidas (suitable for running) size Men's 9 1/2, 9, 9 1/2 (one pair for each boy.) And we are in need of Athletic Style clothing (Dri Weave) shirts (short and long sleeve), shorts, and sweatpants for each boy- all size Men's small (can be any brand.)
Looking for help for a fictive kin placement who is taking permanent custody of two children, but is needing help with daycare to maintain permanent care. Due to a freeze in state funding for daycare, the family cannot get help from the state to fund the daycare. The two young children are under 5 and are very happy and comfortable in the home. They are well taken care of and the caretaker can afford to meet their daily needs while working full time, but cannot afford to also pay for daycare. Without daycare they would not be able to work and afford to take care of the kids whom they love dearly and want to keep out of the foster care system. This family is hoping for help from the community to assist with daycare for at least the next six months until they can get further daycare. The cost of daycare is extremely high for all families in today's world and we are hopeful that those who are able will help contribute to meeting these children's needs. The daycare that they attend helps them with learning educationally and with social skills. The total cost of daycare without assistance for the two children is about $2,300 a month. For six months to be fully covered, they would need $13,800
We are supporting a single mom who has 2 children already in her home (ages 3&5) and is willing to taken in her 5 year old niece as a kinship placement. In order to meet the state requirements for this placement, she needs a bunk bed with a trundle bed with it, so that all three children can share a room.
She also needs a slim high back booster seat for her niece to be able to fit with the seats of her other two children.
Please help this family accept the placement of their niece/cousin.
