6 children were successfully united with grandparents after being separated for 2 months. The Grandparents are not receiving payment for caring for the children for another few weeks. They are need of help with food and hygiene products until they receive assistance from our Department. This helps the family stay connected and celebrate the holidays together until they are able to be reunited with their parents. The family is open to receiving food and/or gift cards to buy food and hygiene products.

Hello, I am making this request for a family of 9. This family recently reunited and the Department is working on stabilizing the family. The mother was provided housing by the Family Reunification Program, and is in great need with assistance to furnish the home. Previously, the mother and the children were living with the maternal grandmother, which was causing a lot of discomfort, due to there being a large amount of people living in the home. The children have stated they are thrilled to be living in a home for themselves, and are looking forward to making their new home, feel like home. The mother is currently employed, but is only making enough to support the children and additional bills. The children's ages include: 15, 14, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 5. The mother is hopeful she can have a large sectional couch, in order to be able to sit the children during family time.
A child that is five has been reunified with his father. He and the father sleep in the same room. The father is currently rebuilding his life as he now sleeps in a twin bed. The family is requesting a toddler bed and mattress for the youth so he and the father can sleep comfortably.
I have a homeless family that is temporarily living at a hotel. This family is in need of a gas card to continue to look for housing over this holiday break.

We are asking for financial assistance for a mother, 31 years old, who is ill and placed in a nursing care facility due to her critical medical issues. Mother is blind in one eye and has 9% kidney function. Despite her medical condition, Mother continues to work on reunification. The mother visits with her children at the nursing home facility, but due to her medical status, she is unable to work and has zero source of income. Her children are older, 14 and 16. We are requesting a financial donation for a mother to use on her visits with her children. The mother would like to be able to offer the children a meal, go out of the facility, buy them something, or purchase things she and the children can use during the visits. Any financial assistance received will be used to strengthen the bond and quality of the visits with the children, while they still have their mother. The mother has a parent partner assigned who is helping her come up with activities she can do during the visit with her children. It is unknown if the mother will receive a transplant donation, so the time of the visits is crucial for these children.

This family is struggling financially and is seeking assistance in providing a full-sized (preferably) platform bed frame for their daughters. They have a mattress and are using it on the floor.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
This family just experienced a car accident that totaled the family's only mode of transportation. Unfortunately, the mothers insurance would only cover a rental car for a couple of days. Now, she is having to pay for a rental car out-of-pocket which is causing extreme financial stress. Mother is a single mother of 3 kids, 10-year-old, 6-year-old, and 6-year-old, and only makes around $2,200 a month which is considered low income. Her rent is $1,100 which takes most of her budget. Her student's have had difficulty getting to school on time since the accident because she cannot afford the rental car every week. Without a car, it takes the family about 40 minutes each day to walk to-and-from school, and Mother is unable to get to work to provide for her family. The mother is requesting a used car or cash to help with a down payment on a car. This mom would be very thankful for any support as getting this critical need met will ultimately provide some stability for her and all her children in this difficult time.
We have a family who was homeless at one time. They have stable housing now but struggle to keep up with daily living needs especially clothes for their growing three daughters. They are looking for new school clothes for the students so they can go to school with confidence. A gift card to Target or Walmart of any amount would be great.
City Net outreach organization is preparing to house a family of six who were formerly homeless. Four children, (2) two-year-olds and (2) 1 year olds. are in need of a number of items.
Other items needed are basic items like owels, etc.

We have 14 residents who need to stay warm this winter. Portable space heaters are dangerous and many that were donated have reached the end of their useful lives. We are seeking electric blankets for each of our residents to help keep our clients warm. Each resident has a twin bed, so we are seeking 14 twin-sized electric blankets for everyone. Please help us keep them warm this winter.

Debbie:
The River Church in Redlands is able to meet this need. I would probably need to order these items online and have them delivered. Debbie Bueermann(###) ###-####
We have a resident in our maternity home who needs a winter coat. As it continues to get colder heading into the winter season, our resident could use a Men's size XL coat to stay warm as she navigates the outdoors.

We have a new mom in our maternity home who is experiencing severe separation anxiety with her child. The child has a very hard time letting mommy go or do anything without her. We would like to send our resident and her child to a 4-week Mommy + Me program to help with social interaction and separation anxiety. She has been in our program for most of this year and is doing and learning so much! It would be of high importance that we could fund her classes for her.

A single mother of two children who was previously homeless, has unfortunately become unemployed and is trying to avoid getting evicted. She is struggling to find a new job in time to pay the back rent. This assistance would help her pay rent and avoid eviction. The student would have safe place to live and function while in high school.

This is a kinship placement that began when this young girl was 8 months old. Her mother was 16yrs old and could not imagine being a teen mother. So this grandmother has been in a shelter with her grandmother for almost 1year. Grandmother was approved for an housing program , Housing Key! This provision provided her with the approval for a 2 bedroom townhouse. She has absolutely nothing to go in the home. The 16 yr old child is an excellent student and has not allowed these challenges to stop her from excelling in school. They assistance will allow them to have a fresh restart and enjoy her junior year of high school. Grandmother is so grateful to be out of the shelter and ready for her new home.
A single mother in great need of assistance to reunite with her three children. Mother will have her children returned to her care and needs beds and bedding for her three children. We are also asking for help with storage, with providing dressers for the children. We are asking for help in providing a bed frame, mattress, and bedding (sheets, comforter, and pillows). Mom lives in subsidized housing and is working, but money is tight. Mom is in school to be a medical assistant and is currently raising her three-year-old child. Mom has been working hard to reunite with her children. This would be a great help to preserve a safe and stable home for her children.

Our youth has transitioned out of foster care and needs immediate assistance for hard goods. The youth has been exceptional at working hard to keep their employment during this transition. We have assisted the youth in securing, appropriate and affordable housing for their budget. However, the youth is now in need of a bed, dresser and refrigerator for their new home. Thank you for your assistance

Mother and father need assistance with getting an exterminator to manage roaches in the home. Once they are able to demonstrate their ability to do this for three months the county will dismiss child dependency and parents and children will be out of the system. Parents were able to get quotes for an exterminator and the best offer was $267 In November for the initial treatment and $93.74 for the ongoing services for the months of December and January.
