Client came in stating that she needs help. She is 8 weeks pregnant with her third child and her husband left her upon finding out she was pregnant. She is currently unemployed, has little food and concerned about having stability for when her baby arrives. These are the very real concerns that put some women in the situation of deciding whether to continue a pregnancy. Her 8 year old daughter has been sick for a week but hasn't been seen by a doctor because she's worried about a high medical bill. Client was referred to ABC Pregnancy Care Center by Genesis Family Health. Her husband has paid rent for 3 months in advance, so housing is not an immediate need. Client will be participating in prenatal classes to earning points for needed baby items. She has been referred to local food distributions and is currently needing help with groceries as she stated they don't have any food. She does not feel comfortable at this time with people knowing where she lives. Items can be delivered to the center Monday through Thursday and she'll pick it up from here. She has no form of transportation of her own and relies on friends to take her places. Any help for this family is appreciated.
