Two Children 13F and 12F recently returned to mother's care from foster care. the sister's joined their eldest daughter 17F who was also in foster care. Sister 15F visits the home every other weekend.

The children are in need of hygiene products; additionally specifically hair products for African American hair. The eldest daughter struggles with obesity which results in hygiene issues.

Mother is adjusting to the returning of her daughters in the home and finances are limited.

This request come from the CPS Unit. A young couple has recently obtained custody of their male cousin, age 15. The child was previously residing with his biological father who failed to provide for the child’s basic needs and education. The young couple stepped up to take the child in but already has a small child at home with a fixed income. The family has been unable to afford purchasing the child some items to make the child more comfortable in their home. The family could benefit from a dresser and twin size bedding. In addition, the child came to their home without many items of clothing and is in need of clothing men’s size 3x shirts and 2x pants. The family is working to get the child reestablished in school and will need school clothes. The family is appreciative of any assistance that can be provided.

Greene County Department of Social Services has been working with a family of three, consisting of the father, mother and son (11) who is on the spectrum and non-verbal. The family has been diligently searching for permanent housing over the past 8 months. Fortunately, they were able to secure a two-bedroom home for their family. However, while staying in temporary housing, their belongings in a storage unit were damaged by water, including their beds. The family is eager to move into their permanent housing but are unable to until they secure beds and bedding. Currently they are sleeping on air mattresses.

This family consists of a mother, her boyfriend, and her three sons. her middle son is currently in foster care and as a teenage boy is quickly out growing his clothes. His mother and her boyfriend work sporadically and are struggling to pay the household expenses. This 13-year-old boy has grown out of his summer clothes from last year. This child has a limited wardrobe, and the family is not able to afford to buy clothes that fit and are appropriate for the season change. The child is in need of t shirts, shorts, shoes, as well as socks. This child enjoys picking out his clothes and shopping. He likes TJ MAXX or Marshalls. A gift card would be helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This Mom currently has 2 children, a son aged 4 and a daughter aged 5, in the care of GCDSS. She has another child who is with her at home. There is no contact with the bio father. Mom is re-married but currently has no contact with her husband. Mom’s license is currently suspended. The GCDSS is looking to expand visitation with the mother and her 2 children and work towards a trial discharge home. The items requested would be used for this mom to transport all her children safely while she continues to address the issue with her license, as well as provide a safe sleeping area for the newborn upon arrival.

This client is a single father who recently lost custody of his 6-year-old son due to ongoing drug use. The father has been the child's primary caregiver since birth, as his biological mother passed away of an overdose approximately 2 years ago. The six-year-old is currently with his older brother (19 years old), while his father engages in the needed treatments. The father is reportedly two weeks sober and working to get custody of his son back. Father is court ordered to engage in several programs but is unable to do so due to having no cell phone. The father is unable to schedule necessary appointments in efforts to regain custody of his son. The father is requesting assistance obtaining a pre-paid cell phone with minutes. Father is currently employed but puts all his money towards preventing the foreclosure of the family home. Within the last 2 years, the family has lost the father's mother, the father's father, the child's mother and the family dog. The resource obtained guardianship of three children after their adoptive mother passed away. The resource is struggling financially with the unexpected expenses associated with caring for three children. A request to change the childrens' adoption subsidy to the resource has been submitted but that takes time. The resource is requesting life jackets for the children can safely swim this summer. This family consists of a single mom and her 4 year daughter. The mother has a steady job, but is in need of assistance as she is going through an intense DV situation. The mother is wanting to relocate herself and her child to a relative in Texas where she will receive familial support. The mother is wanting to take her vehicle and some important belongings with her for the move. The mother is needing assistance with gas for the 27 hour drive and with purchasing a trailer to connect to her truck.

This family in need consists of a single mother raising her own 3 young children. The mother took responsibility and is caring for a 17-year old family friend. Mom works low paying jobs to pay and make ends meet. The 17-year-old would have ended up in foster care if it wasn't for this mother. The family is requesting a full-size box spring, mattress, and bed frame, XXL shirts, sweatpants, and shorts (male).

After the recent passing of their mother, 3 siblings are living with their grandparents. The children have reconnected with grandparents, during this time the children are in need of basic essentials after having to leave their home. Given the adjustment, the family is in need of assistance with clothing and bedding for the children.
