We have a young, single mother of 3 children (ages 1, 4 and 5). She is experiencing unstable housing and financial stress. The mother is a victim of domestic violence and is trying to keep her children sheltered and safe from harm. The mother has been residing with the maternal grandmother in a single unit apartment with the children. The MGM put the mother and children out on yesterday and stole the mother’s food stamps from her EBT card. The mother is not able to purchase any food for herself and the children. She was able to get a room in Hollywood through PATH and is awaiting placement in a DV shelter. DCFS and the agencies involved with this family are working tirelessly to find a residence the mother and children. The mother can be reached on her cell phone and the CSW is able to correspond with the mother accordingly. We are hoping that a donor will pick up this request and provide the family with a $300.00 grocery gift card or purchase food for the family so that the mother and children do not go hungry.

We have a mother who has a six-month old baby that is teething. The mother is very resilient and is thriving with all of her programs she is involved in. She is a domestic violence survivor and is using her experience to build and grow within her life. She is in therapy to address the concerns that brought her family to the attention of the Department. She is a domestic violence survivor. She is a good mother who truly cares for her daughter. During our meetings the baby is always smiling and giggling. Recently, the baby began teething and is in need of hypoallergenic-silicon weaning cups, baby spoons, feeding set, and food making system (NutriBullet). I am in hopes that some of these items can possibly make it to her.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Hello, I am working with a 12th grader that has been absent often due to the parent not having enough money for gas. The parent had surgery done and is possibly having a second surgery, the parent has been out of work due to her medical situation and is struggling to provide for her family. While the parent gets back on feet and starts back at work we would like to offer them a $400 gift card to help out with food, gas and other daily items they need. This will improve the well being of this student and sibling and also improve their attendance in school. We appreciate any help that can be provided for this family. Client is a single mother of1 month old baby living with parent at this time. Family source of income comes from public benefits and seeking employment in the near future after family finishes program activities. Client is 27 year old mother. Client has successfully enrolled in Welcome Baby and is an active participant. Client has 4 children ages 5, 4, 1, and a 3 month old. Upon assessing needs, client is in need of bunk beds for her 5 and 4 year olds. Client stays home to care for her 4 children. Client is not able to work due to her 5 year old having health issues and her 1 year old having Down Syndrome. Client and family would benefit from the bunk beds so they can sleep independently and safely.
