A working family attempting to move into a safer home is needing assistance with outstanding utility costs. The family was identified as being a possible kinship placement for a client who has no other viable placement options needs to be around adults they can trust. This family needs assistance paying off a utility balance that is preventing them from providing power to the new home which otherwise would be safe and adequate. If this family receives the requested assistance they should be able provide our client with a safe and trusting home.

We are currently working with a family as part of a family center service case. The family has expressed needing help covering their utility bill of 244.51 for the month of June. They have experienced a number of things over the last month that has left them unable to pay the whole amount needed. This request is for a family that started fostering in 2021. Right away, they excepted a sibling set of three kids because the family did not want the children to be separated. They knew there were going to be many sacrifices because there wasn’t enough room for each child to have their own room including their own child. However, they were determined to make it work because they wanted these children to stay together in order for them to overcome their traumatic experiences. It has been a rough couple of years with limited space, but recently an opportunity came up and they were able to find a bigger home that would provide each child with their own bedroom. This is something that the foster children have never experienced and now will have an opportunity to know what that is like, be a little more “normal”. They are now in need of 3 dressers for the children.

I have a kinship safety plan monitor who is caring for a 2-month-old baby, who needs help with diapers and wipes. They are not receiving any funding to help aid in this need and could really use the help. This kind of help will free up funds for the kinship placement to use in other areas for this baby.

Foster parents are asking for help with clothes for a 2 year old who came into care with no belongings. Child is a girl who wears size 3T in clothes and 7/8 in shoes. The child was homeless living in the car with natural mother and her boyfriend and the child did not have anything, but the clothes on her. Foster parents will take any use or new items for this child, as anything would help make this placement long term. (Clothes: shorts $5, tops $5, dresses $15, sandals $20).

Hello there. I am reaching out for assistance for a family on my caseload. There is a single mother of three who is working as many hours as her job will allow in order to make ends meet for her family. She and her children are currently in trial reunification and she has been doing everything she can do provide for them and ensure that they don’t go without anything. However, she is struggling a bit financially. She could use some help with the following: a gas card, groceries, and daycare application fees for her three children. Any contribution you may be able to make towards these needs would be immensely appreciated! Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

A MOTHER IS NEEDING HELP WITH FURNITURE!
There is a mother that has two children (1 and 5 years old). Mom just got a house for herself and her children. Mom is needing some things in order to move into the home. Mom has a toddler mattress for one of her children, but she is needing help with getting a toddler bed frame. Mom is also needing a new bed and bedframe for herself as hers broke. Mom stated she is willing to sleep on an air mattress in the meantime if she is unable to get a bed at the moment. The family is also needing a refrigerator, as the home did not come with one. Mom is not able to get a job right now, due to her attending services and college classes. Mom has been very engaging in all her services. They are currently in need of a queen box spring. The family is in need of 2 plastic organizer drawers to put in the closet to help keep the laundry put away. They currently have no dishes in the house and are in need of plates, bowls and cups. They also need cups with lids and/or straws for the children.
