By providing for this family, you will be helping a single mother with two children under the age of 5. One child is in school, and the other has special needs. This family is coming out of a domestic violence situation, and had to leave most everything behind, including their vehicle. She is in need of transportation to help get to work and take her daughter to school. Currently she is having to walk everywhere. She doesn't have a strong support system. When asking her permission to put this information on the care portal, she cried because she couldn't believe someone would care enough to help. This mother is really trying to make a better life for her children and herself.

We have a family that is located in Bryan County that is ready to start overnight visits. The family is in need of three beds; toddler bed into twins or full-size beds for the children. The family has a means of transportation for the beds if the need is able to be met. We need these beds so the children can begin overnight visitation with their mother and the family can work toward reunification with a safe space for all the children to sleep.

An energetic, bright 12yo boy would love to dye his hair to feel more comfortable in his skin! A pastel to medium pink is preferred, like Revlon ColorSilk Digitones in 95D Pastel Pink. Also, since this youth has dark hair, bleach will be needed as well, something like Garnier Olia Oil Powered Hair Bleach Kit, Blonde Extreme. Both items can be found in stores or could be ordered through Amazon.

Family consists of Dad, Mom, and 3 children (2 enrolled in HS & a 5 year old child) who are currently living in the maternal grandmother's home (at this time they do not have their own place to stay). Maternal grandmother's home is 30 minutes away from school. Mom has been having to miss work frequently due to caring for her mother who was recently hospitalized with a major illness (on vent). The family is currently struggling with lack of dependable vehicle and fuel money to get the kids back and forth to school. Kids have missed multiple days of school (not typical for the the HS students who are involved in school activities). Mom's vehicle is not working (said her husband has replaced some new parts, but he believes now the issue may involve the engine heads - she stated this is out of his territory as far as basic mechanic work.) Currently the family is using one vehicle (that belongs to grandmother) to get kids back and forth to school, Dad to work, Mom to work and/or hospital, Dr. appts, shopping, etc. The kids have not been riding a bus to school because where the family is currently staying is not on a bus route; however, we have made arrangements beginning for next week for the kids to be able to catch a bus at a convenient store that is located relatively close to where they are currently living to be able to ride back and forth to school. Mom applied for program to get vehicle fixed but needed 2 estimates and vehicle was not drivable to get the quotes. Updated on September 19, 2023 by an Agency Worker
Fuel cards at the present time would be greatly appreciated by the family. The car situation is understandably a large undertaking, but the family currently is able to use the grandmother's car.

Good afternoon! I have a most wonderful foster home that I have carried for over a year now. This family has a BIG heart...and they are a BIG family! My resource parents have five children of their own (4 boys, 1 girl) (one is a nephew that was adopted at birth) and they are currently fostering a sibling set of two (a boy and girl). They live in a farmhouse and have a little homestead going. There is plenty of space outside, but the inside space is dwindling with so many kids. It won't surprise you to hear that the girls have to share a room. But they are also the youngest two in their home and have the most toys, as they are 7-8 yrs old. The room was perfect when it was just the bio daughter, but now that foster daughter also rooms in there, that is two twin beds, two doll houses, two sets of clothes, and all the random things that come with two young ladies who love to play. This family would really like to have loft beds for the girls. Their floor space is quite limited in their room, with just enough space to walk on either side of the bed. Both girls are a little put out that they have to share a room and this would really open up their room and give them some space, esp since this sibling set will be there for the foreseeable future. (The loft bed does not have to have a desk underneath, but it would be a bonus.) Thank you for your consideration!

We have a mother and daughter (11 years old) that have left a horrible situation, the mother has done everything she can to protect her child and relocated. The mother has a good support system with her family but could always use more community connections. Stepping out on her own after many years of having a two-income family, the child is currently in need of a dresser or cube cubby of some sort for her new bedroom to store her clothing. The mother works and has been able to provide for the necessitates needed to furnish the new apartment. She and the child have shown great resiliency and faced some pretty big struggles over the last few weeks since everything has come to light.

We are working with a mother and two children in trial reunification. The mother is not able to work full time due to not having a driver's license. She works part time local where she can get transportation help. The mother lives in a low income apartment and due to unforseen circumstances with lack of child support and employment opportunities she has fallen behind on her rent. The landlord has served her with eviction notice for Thursday-Friday at the latest. One of her service providers is providing 250.00 and mother has paid 50.00 today. The mother does not have relatives that she can live with. The mother has completed services and she has met all her goals for sobriety and taking care of her children. The amount is large 2100.00. The worker will find out how to make the payments to the landlord at this time mother is gathering that information. The mother does not want to be homeless with her children. Please consider helping this mother maintain her housing for herself and her children. Updated on September 15, 2023 by an Agency Worker
Update-the good news is that the Tribe is willing to help pay the back rent. This will bring her to Sept. and we have a service provider that will help as well. We are updating the request financially to $400.00 needed to help pay the rent for October. The mom has opened up to a friend at her child school who has agreed to help babysit the children so mom can work more hours. This is a big step for this mom as she struggles to open up and trust people. The team that is surrounding her are working to help her be successful and keep her children with her-they are so happy to be home. Please consider helping this mother and her children with rental payment for October 2023.

A kinship family needs help with daycare costs incurred while caring for a family member's 1 year old baby while the parent was not a safe option for the child. The family stepped up for the child when no other family member was able to. The kinship family is on a fixed income as one of them is disabled. Therefore, the child needed daycare in order for the placement to work. Unfortunately, CCMS had some issues processing the daycare and the family had to pay out of pocket for a month and is unable to afford the large bill. Any amount will help. The amount can be paid directly to the daycare to help lower the bill for the family. If the bill is not paid, the child may be dropped from the daycare which could disrupt the placement. The kinship family intends to adopt the child as soon as legally able.
