I am working with a low-income family who has a five year old with significant developmental delays. The five year old is in need of extensive dental treatment. Because of his special needs and the amount of work he needs, he will need to have anesthesia. We have referred the family to a number of dentists in the area and have tried to find a dentist that can offer the services at a discounted price. However, due to the nature of his disability, he requires a dentist with a special skill set to work with his sensory issues (tactile defensiveness, sensitivity to touch, etc). We were happy to find a dentist that is a good fit for the child and who has agreed to discount his fees from 6,009 to 3,000 dollars, making the total cost $3,000. The child is in extreme pain which has affected his ability to eat and participate in classroom activities. The family is trying to raise money to help with the cost. Any amount donated as soon as possible would be super helpful for this family. We are also open to any referrals to great dentists that may offer services to this child at a lower cost. 6 year little boy and his mom can use some clothes and shoes for the little boy, toiletries, trash bags and cleaning supplies for the home, non-perishable food items and small amount of perishable food for a dorm-sized fridge, dog supplies for his dogs (food, toys), and an Easter basket for the child. Clothes sizes: 8/9, shoes size 12 boys, medium boys underwear, and he loves hoodies and hats. The little boy loves superheroes especially Hulk, Black Panther, Batman, and he like Star Wars too. Easter basket: he would love anything from games to play dough and nerf guns. He loves cotton candy and chocolate too. Mom said he is not too picky.

The previous family left a washer, but it isn't operational. Mom works six days a week, and they are currently on the path to a financially sustaining life. This resource significantly contributes to that end.

A 16 yo female that is currently in a facility wanting to be able to attend summer camp this summer, it would help her to enter act more with others, and be able to be around people of her age to engage in activities and not be in the facility with nothing to do this summer. She would benefit from this camp to learn how to be more responsible with daily activities, and be able to be sufficient enough for once she do get on her own she will know how to handle different situations. The cost of the summer camp is $950.00 for the entire summer of different structured daily activities to keep her focused.

A 16 yo female that is currently in a facility wanting to enhance her room with some decorations, bedding accessories, and other items to make it feel like home for her. She would greatly benefit from it and make her feel welcomed as well. She is asking for gift cards to allow her to purchase what is needed to decorate her room.

Young mother with a newborn needs immediate rental assistance. Mother was unable to work during her pregnancy and father was shot and killed, so she lost any other financial assistance. Mother is getting her taxes and can pay most of the difference and has a job she will be starting but her landlord has already filed eviction paperwork. The amount requested, combined with what she can pay should cover her and allow her to continue staying at her apartment.

Two children in Missouri's care are in need of two twin beds with frames. Their placement is moving and the beds that they currently have will not be suitable for the new house. There are currently three children in care ages 4, 7 & 9. The mother and father are working very hard to get their home cleaned up. The worker has been out and they have done a good job at doing this. The home still has an odor that is believed to be coming from the furniture in the home given it's age and the belief it is soiled. We are seeking help with getting new living room furniture and a new dining room table for the family. We believe these gently used items will help reduce the smell and help us be able to reunify the children soon.

Good afternoon. I am requesting assistance to help a single mother with her transportation to complete court ordered services in Cass County, Missouri. My parent does not currently have a car and there is very little to no public transportation in the Cass County, MO area where she currently resides. The mother has been court ordered to complete a number of court services in order to get her children back and she needs some kind of transportation to be able to make it the locations to complete said services. We are asking if it might be possible for you to donate some money to purchase my parent a LYFT or UBER card in order to make getting around a little easier. There are 3 children ages 1,2 and 6 that were recently placed with their great aunt and uncle. The children are bonded to their relatives and love them dearly. Their aunt and uncle really want to keep them in their home. They love the children dearly and want to provide a loving and safe environment for them. The family does need assistance with getting the children beds. They need a crib for the one year old and the 2 and 6 year old both need a regular twin size bed. This will help maintain the placement for these children and keep them with their relatives.

Good afternoon. I am a caseworker for the Cass County MO Children's Division. One of the families on my caseload is needing assistance in moving their mobile home/RV Trailer to a new location in the community. The mother currently does not have a vehicle and has very low income. She is needing help/volunteer with a truck/trailer hitch to move her current home (a mobile RV) to a new location nearby. The mother's RV has been sitting at a friends home, however it can no longer stay their. The mother has found a nearby lot that will accept her RV. This request will help preserve the mother's home stability and prevent her from being homeless. Additionally, once the RV is in a stable lot/location, Children's Division may be able to assess the RV as a possible home option for the mother's children to live in while the mother looks for other housing options. Currently the mother's two children ages 12 and 13 are in a foster home in Jackson County. The only cost for this request is a volunteer's time and maybe a small amount of gas money.
