Mother is a single parent with two children ages 6 and 9. The youngest child is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. He is receiving regional center care and mother is trying to get home ABA hours and at home assistance. Mother informed CSW she does not receive any support from the father. Mother stated they are currently going through mediation with family court. Mother works three jobs and indicated it is still not enough to pay rent and take care of her children necessities. Mother is 27 years old. Mother lives on her own in a one bedroom apartment with her two children. Mother mentioned she continued to get denied for EBT. Mother is struggling and is open to receiving anything that can help her and her family, like groceries, essentials and necessities for the children such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, food. The mother is single parent who recently lost her job and is struggling to provide financial stability for her two children. The mother has very limited local support networks as her extended family resides back in her country, country she was forced to leave with her two children due to violence and an abusive relationship. Minor appears to have a lot of anger and he struggles with motivation to attend school. The minor is really interested in participating in sports, such as soccer and boxing. Unfortunately, the mother is unable to afford the cost of uniforms, shoes, etc. The mother needs support covering the cost of cleats, shin guards, boxing gloves, etc. The hope is that by joining these sports, this will serve not only as an incentive for the minor to attend school but will help the minor make meaningful connections, will serve as an anger outlet and will improve the minor's behavior and overall physical and mental health.

I am reaching out on behalf of a dedicated caregiver who is in urgent need of support. This caregiver lovingly cares for a young child (Almost 2) with autism and is currently facing a significant challenge. After a recent surgery, the caregiver is unable to safely carry or support the child while using their current umbrella stroller, which offers limited support and stability.

To ensure the child’s safety and comfort—and to help the caregiver manage day-to-day outings—we are requesting assistance in providing a full-size stroller. A sturdier stroller will allow for better support for the child and reduce physical strain on the caregiver during recovery.

This act of kindness will make a world of difference for a family navigating both medical recovery and the daily responsibilities of raising a child with unique needs.

A counselor at a local high school shared a need for a local family. The family was displaced, and did seek a motel voucher from the district. Thankfully they're back in an apartment, but the mom shared they're in need of a stove.The oldest a senior at the high school and there are two younger brothers. The family is requesting help in getting a gas stove.

I am currently working with a single mother who is currently in the hospital about to give birth. Mother has a open case with her six year old daughter. Mother has successfully secured housing and is in complete compliance with all court orders. We are tying to prevent the Department from detaining the newborn. Mother needs to have basic necessities when the Department goes to the hospital. Mother has most of the items but not the car seat. Mother continues to work very hard to reunify with her daughter and is following all court orders and recommendations. The case put a financial strain on mother as she had to attend various classes throughout her dependency case and purchasing new items to prepare for the new baby. Mother would be grateful for any assistance , thank you in advance.

Hello, I am working with a 12th grader that has been absent often due to the parent not having enough money for gas. The parent had surgery done and is possibly having a second surgery, the parent has been out of work due to her medical situation and is struggling to provide for her family. While the parent gets back on feet and starts back at work we would like to offer them a $400 gift card to help out with food, gas and other daily items they need. This will improve the well being of this student and sibling and also improve their attendance in school. We appreciate any help that can be provided for this family. An Aunt who is currently a Foster Parent for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece needs help with paying a utility bill. The caregiver is a single woman doing her best to provide for 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. She has been caring for her niece and nephew since January of this year and has fallen behind on her utility bill, if this is not paid the Department of Water and Power will turn off services (the electricity and water) and the child will possibly lose her stable home that she has had for them within the last five months. The Foster Parent/Aunt is in desperate need of assistance with paying her utility bill to keep providing a stable, loving and safe home for her 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece. When this need is met the aunt will be grateful for this assistance and her niece and nephew will not be in jeopardy of being taken out of the current home, they have been living in for the past five months, the 15-year-old nephew and 10-year-old niece will stay in the safe, loving environment with their aunt.

Father is receiving Family Reunification services for his young son. He is requesting assistance with purchasing a Tracfone BLU View 5 pre-paid phone from Target to communicate with child, caregivers and social worker. Father is currently unemployed and is financially struggling as a single parent.

A dedicated caregiver is currently providing full-time care for their young niece, ensuring she has a safe and stable environment. In order to give the child a proper place to sleep, the caregiver has generously given up her own bed, choosing instead to sleep on the couch. As the family prepares to move to a new home, there is a special opportunity to give the child her very own room for the first time.

However, due to financial constraints, the caregiver is unable to afford a bed frame and mattress for the child. We are reaching out for support to help provide this essential item so she can have a comfortable, secure space of her own—a place to rest, grow, and feel at home. Mother has finished all of her services and is awaiting her final judgement. Her last obstacle is paying off her traffic tickets. The current amount owed is $637.00. Taking care of this debt would help her get her driver's license back and allow her to drive her children and potentially work as an Uber driver. She is struggling financially and does not have the means to pay her tickets.

Hello, We have a family of 3 that is currently going through a very difficult time. The mother is currently staying at a homeless shelter with her daughter of 12 and a younger sibling. She currently has a very limited income due to lack of work and they are unable to find adequate housing and consistent availability of affordable food. We are requesting a $500 grocery card for the family to at least be able to purchase food for a period of time. Additionally, any resources regarding how we can help the family would be greatly appreciated. This would help family utilize funds to continue to survive while we explore solutions. I am advocating on behalf of a relative caregiver who cares for her niece and two children on her own with no outside support. Although caregiver was able to escape a DV relationship last year, she finds it difficult to navigate day-to-day life after the death of her sister and being a now single parent. She has recently obtained child care for her niece so that she can go back to work as an IHSS caregiver to better support her family and provide for their needs. Caregiver just needs a stepping stone right now to help her and her family get to where they need to be. Therefore, I kindly ask for assistance with a gift card for school clothing and shoes for the kids.
