A mother of a nine-month-old child is in need of two safety gates. She is using cardboard in order for the child not to go to the kitchen or to the bedroom. If she gets support with this request, the child can move around in a safety area.

A youth needs to receive driver's education classes in order to support her grandparents with transportation. This youth is planning to remain in her grandparents home and is willing to support them by driving to school and any other needs that require her driving. These classes will be very beneficial to support her family.

Caseworker is requesting a $200.00 gift card to Amazon or Walmart to help with a 2-year-old girl that was placed with family yesterday. Due to emergency, 2-year-old child was removed from the home and placed with family. She was dropped off with only a backpack full of clothes. She has no shoes, a few pull-ups, and no car seat. Family is requesting assistance with supplies and especially a car seat. Child is in 4T, 7/8 shoes. She loves Bluey.

girl (4) is placed with her great aunt, who is a long term placement option for the child. The family could benefit from a secondary booster seat with a back to be able to safely transport in either vehicle at any time.

Mom needs a toddler bed and toddler bed mattress for her 3 year old little girl who has been co-sleeping with mom. Mom also shares this room with two other children. This would allow mom to put the youngest next to her in her own bed and allow mom to sleep better at night and allow for the child to get her own bed.

The Department is working with a mother whose 1-year-old is currently placed in foster care while she addresses the concerns that caused the case to open. She is in need of a replacement car seat. She is getting started in all services and highly motivated to have her child returned to her care. Any assistance with this need so that this mother can work towards reunification is greatly appreciated!

A kinship provider is caring for a 6 year old boy. The kin provider is working towards becoming a certified caregiver and needs help paying for their CPR/First Aid class and is requesting a gift card for the amount of $45 to pay for the class.

I’m requesting financial support on behalf of my client so she can request certified copies of birth certificated for two of her children. My client needs copies of their birth certificates through the state of California and Nevada to get them into school. Any contributions toward covering the fees would make a meaningful impact on her path toward stability and self-sufficiency. Thank you for your support.

The department is working with three youth (12 y/o m, 13 y/o m and 15 y/o f) who were removed from their father's care due to severe physical abuse. These youth lost their mother in a car accident 5 years ago so they have been grieving and are now dealing with an additional large amount of trauma. These youth were recently moved to their maternal grandparents home where they continue to heal and grow. These youth are in need basic cell phones and phone cards in order to maintain contact with their professional team as well as have the ability to engage in supervised phone calls with their father in order to continue working to rebuild their familial relationship. These youth are now engaged in school in-person for the first time and are engaged in extracurricular activities and are requesting the ability to communicate with their caregivers regarding their safety. These youth would be so thankful for anything that they are able to get. The department is asking for these phones and phone cards to be purchased or a Wal-Mart gift card, or a VISA gift card in order to purchase the phones. Any and all help is appreciated!!!

We have a student who is getting close to graduation. For many years he has been his ailing mother's sole caretaker. She was disabled and bedridden. They were living on her disability benefits. In the last couple of weeks he missed school and his grades dropped. Following a home visit, we learned that his mother had passed away on Mother’s Day – she had a heart attack. The trailer the student lived in with his mom will stay with him, but it is in very bad shape. He has no other adults in his life right now. A team from the school would like to seal and paint his trailer this summer to prevent more of the siding from rotting away. They are hoping for a Lowe’s or Home Depot gift card to purchase caulking and all-weather exterior paint and possibly paint supplies. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This request is on behalf of an 18-year-old youth who has just successfully graduated from the Firefighter Academy at a local community college. This youth has enrolled at a community college and is now pursuing an Associate's degree in Fire Emergency Services.
