While she is diligently providing for the children's daily needs, the cost of necessary repairs, specifically the need for new tires, presents a significant barrier to ensuring reliable transportation. Reliable transportation is critical for our clients to maintain stability and ensure the well-being of the children. The considerable distance to the children's school necessitates a dependable vehicle with safe tires for daily attendance. Furthermore, safe and operational transportation, dependent on having proper tires, is required for scheduled visits and for getting the children to and from vital medical appointments. Without assistance specifically for obtaining new tires, our client's ability to meet these fundamental responsibilities will be severely compromised, impacting the children's education, health, and overall stability. This assistance is requested to alleviate a critical barrier preventing the client from managing her household and caring for the children effectively during this period of financial strain.

KVC is hoping to help a 5M child enroll in a summer Reading Program. This child is passionate about reading and learning and his placement wants to help him not lose any of the progress he has made reading this school year.

The reading program is called: Summer Reading Skills through the Bishop Seabury Academy in partnership with Avila University!

Child came into states custody for neglect. The child was in wrestling at his old school and would like to join at the new school. The child was advised to go to the camp. The placement providers have 6 children in the home after taking in this child and two of the child's siblings. Funds are tight and they are unable to send him to wrestling camp.

Family has been homeless for months is finally getting into a trailer move in date 5-30. The children have been staying at the Noyes home for months. They have received beds for the family. They are needing a couch and kitchen table with chairs for their new home.

16 year old teen girl is placed in a foster home in Wichita long term. However her aunt is in KC and is an ongoing support. She will be providing a week long respite while the foster home is out of town, but is limited on her income and has two other children of her own. She is needing support with groceries for the week while the foster child (her niece) is with her. Gift cards for Walmart, target, or other grocery stores are accepted or payment for groceries.

A mother of two active pre-teens is seeking a dining table that can comfortably seat six people. Currently, the family does not have a designated space where they can sit together for meals, making it difficult to create consistent family time around the dinner table. With the addition of a table, the mother envisions being able to share meals with her children and extend the invitation to grandparents when they visit, creating a more welcoming and connected family environment. This simple addition would foster deeper family bonds and provide a structured space for shared meals and conversation.

A foster child is staying in a motel with her grandmother, and they need gift cards for meals/food. The grandmother does not have transportation, so they stay close to motel or utilize the bus.

Family of 5 needs (3) dehumidifer's for kid's bedrooms in the basement. There are fans in the bedrooms; however, the rooms are very stuffy and smells like mildew. Any help would be appreciated. It is possible for the girls to open their doors and share one of the deumidifer's, if needed.

Mom and children are escaping domestic violence. The youngest child is immunocompromised and requires continuous medical care. Mom has never been allowed to participate in the family's finances, after leaving she has found that her car insurance is past due. She needs to be able to take her child to his medical appointments. She is also in need of diapers (size 3). She is working with a DV shelter and the Jackson County Prevention Team. Thank you for your help!

Older youth has just moved into his own apartment and will age out of care next month. He has most of his needs met, but is still short just a couple items. He is in need of a vacuum cleaner, as his apartment is mostly carpeted. He also needs a replacement glass plate for his microwave as his was broken in the move.

A teen boy aged 14 just moved in with a paternal cousin after returning from AWOL. The child's placement requested help getting a bed for the youth as this placement was unexpected.
