This family is in need of a twin over twin bunk bed frame and 2 twin mattresses for 2 boys. They are also in need of a toddler frame and mattress for their daughter.
The family has a 13 year old boy. Mom's boyfriend who was residing in the home was arrested due to a severe domestic violence altercation which the child was involved and injured in. The boyfriend was the provider in the family and mom now has no way to pay rent and needs help with groceries. Mom was recently laid off from her job and will be picking up her last check next week which will help with their $1000 rent but not cover it. I am looking for grocery gift cards for the family as well as any amount of money to help offset the rent. Mom does not want boyfriend back in the home and has kicked him out, and is looking for a new job. Anything helps!
A relative placement (Aunt) is taking care her niece and nephew and seeking to adopt them. Aunt also has a 15 year old daughter in the home. Aunt has worked hard to provide a loving and supportive home for her niece, nephew, and daughter. The family needs 3 beds. The children currently are sleeping on air mattresses and do not have a regular bed. The beds will help the children have a more stable and sturdy support to sleep on.
I have a 6 year old little boy who is in need of clothing. I have a a teenage girl who will be 16 who is in need of clothing as well. The children were provided with the 200 clothing allowance when they were removed over a year and a half ago. The children are back at home with biological parents. The children are in need of clothing.
The family is in need of a gas card. The family recently just transitioned to a trial home visit. The family is in the process of getting the children enrolled in school. The buss is not set up for either child at this time, parents are working on this. As a result; the family is driving the children to and from school.
Relative caregivers are currently in need of a second lock box/ Small gun safe with lock to store their ammunition and firearms separately. The family does not have any other lock boxes or safe in the home to ensure this can be separated. A second lock box will ensure firearm safety in the home and bring the resource family into compliance with policy and code.
A mother of 5 young children is requesting assistance to help ensure she has a stable living environment for the children. When her 5 children were removed, she lost income that was assisting with managing the household and various utilities. The mother would be appreciative of any financial support and assistance in order to make sure her home is taken care of and her children have a safe and stable environment to return to.
Mother is struggling to rebuild her life after an unsuccessful move, loss of employment, and must start from scratch as there is no furniture or basic items left in the home. These were tossed out by the property owner. Mother has two girls and is trying to rebuild after losing furniture and basic items. The needs are vast. Some furniture items, Beds for the children, Washer and Dryer would be helpful. Dressers for the girls, couch, dishes, silverware, lamps, dining table and chairs, Sheets, Blankets, curtains, clothes and shoes for the children and for mother, cleaning supplies, and Grocery gift cards as Kroger is nearby the home and in walking distance. Mother has applied for food benefits.

Relative caregiver has placement of six grandchild. Caregiver needs some sort of lock box to ensure her ammunition is stored and secure. Relative caregiver already has a lock box for her firearm, so this safety concern has been addressed. S second lock box will ensure children have no access to firearm or ammunition and will bring the placement in compliance with policy and code.
Family renting a home from an inattentive landlord. parents are kind and very hard working. their heat has gone out and the landlord has not been out to fix it yet. we are trying to help them with this through other means but in the meantime the family could really use some extra space heaters and some heavy blankets and comforters. They have one small space heater in the kids’ room but it isn’t really that affective. the one in mom and dads room works ‘ok’ but there are other areas in the home that could really use a heater or two. the entire house is really drafty which isn’t helping the situation.
The two children were recently reunited with their father and are on a Trial Home Visit. Due to a previous court order, the father had to reside away from his wife and children for the past two months and provide income for two households. One of the children has extreme behaviors and has been in and out of acute hospital stays. Father has had to miss work due to these hospital stays which has affected the household income. Father and his wife are now having marital concerns and father is looking for alternate housing. The stress of the child and his behaviors is part of the reason for this separation. Father is in need of childcare assistance. The children attend an after-school program in Decatur Township in Indianapolis. Father does not qualify for DCS assistance since he is a biological parent and not a placement. Father needs this service to continue the process of reunification. We are asking for childcare to be paid to get us to the end of the case and allow for the child to get his evaluation and treatment to enable father to work more consistent hours. Child care weekly is 85.00 per child each week.
Deirdre:
Hello, I am looking into seeing if our church can partially assist with this. In the meantime, I just wanted to check and see if Father has looked into CCDF vouchers to help pay ofr aftercare. Based on his income he may qualify if the aftercare accepts CCDF vouchers. Here are the links.

A relative placement (Aunt) is taking care of her 3 nephews and seeking to adopt them. Aunt has worked hard to provide a loving and supportive home for her nephews. The family needs 2 dressers for the boys bedrooms. The boys currently don't have dressers so they keep their clothes, toys, belongings in totes. The dressers will help Aunt organize the boys bedrooms and allow adequate space for their clothes.
The child was placed with her step-mother. Step-mother has health issues but is doing wonderful things for the child. The step-mother helps the child with home schooling and sees that the child's needs are met. This is a hard time for anyone right after Christmas, but the families refrigerator quit working and the family lost a lot of food. The child is doing well in the home with the step-mother and the family is participating in services. The child is a wonderful young lady who was removed from a bad situation with biological mother. Step-mother would be unable to remove the non working refrigerator. It does not matter if the refrigerator is new or used as long as it works. Updated on January 19, 2023 by an Agency Worker Approved
Family of 7. 6 kids, one adult. Mother is currently unemployed due to heart issues. Mother needs twin beds for 2 of the children and bed linen for all six kids and two dressers.
Melissa:
I have a queen size mattress that was purchased from Amazon and did not expand all the way. They replaced it but did not want the original one back. My son slept on it once and despite it not fully expanding he said it was comfortable. Only slept on the one time with an allergen cover on it. I am happy to give it to them if they would like it.
DCS is requesting the donation of a fridge for a mother who’s fridge recently went out. This mother is the sole caregiver for her child and is unemployed due to chronic health issues. She was able to get a small fridge to use in the meantime but could use assistance getting a new one. Thank you!
