I have a single mother who is a victim of domestic violence who is currently displaced from her home with her four children. She is currently living with the maternal grandmother whose house has recently flooded and mother is living in a hotel until landlord will fix the home. As a result of this added expense, the mother has not been able to purchase new clothing and shoes for her children for the upcoming term. The children are in need of new school uniforms and new sneakers to wear for the upcoming school year. The family is not willing to accept used items, and would like only brand new clothing and shoes. First child is a boy who attends elementary school who wears a size 7/8 he needs are Khaki shorts or/and pants. The school shirts (also size 7/8) are collared shirts that can be blue, green, red, black, or yellow. The Childs shoe size is 13 c (kids), prefers Nike. The second child is a boy who will wear the same uniform clothes and wears a size 4T top and bottom, and wears size sneaker 10c (kids), prefer Nike. The next child is a female and wears the same uniform outfit with a Size 3T top and bottom, and has a sneaker of 10c (kids), prefers Nike. The younger child is a female and is in pre school and does not need any clothing, but could use a pair of sneakers size 7C (kids), prefers Nike. Mother normally buys the uniforms at "the uniform store." The two boys could also use a hair cut before school starts if that is possible to arrange. Note that the children have African American hair. Filling this need will allow the children to start the new school year successfully and fit in with their peers, despite the recent circumstances they are facing as a result of being displaced, first due to violence in the home and second due to flooding. The mother is working hard to meet their other needs as a newly single parent and would be very grateful for any help from her local community.

There are two children whom are placed with a relative caregiver. One of the children is disabled and medically needy. She is deaf and wheelchair bound. The grandparents are need of more appropriate sleeping arrangements. Specifically, two beds with mattresses as shown in the link below in case the child with disabilities rolls out of bed to prevent injury; however, she does not need a specialty medical bed at this time.

Critical Request
There is a family of nine that just moved here from Michigan with the assumption that a family member was going to help them get on their feet. Unfortunately, the family member backed away and did not provide help. The family is currently living in a hotel and needs food, a gas card and cleaning supplies (the client states that clothes are dirty because they have no washing liquid). The client also needs personal hygiene items for the family such as soap, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. The client stated because of the long trip, his car needs maintenance. Providing these items will help the client meet the basic needs of his family until he is able to start his job.

Mother has temporary custody of a disabled child abandoned by his family is in need of a bunk bed and a monthly bus pass to get to work. Mom does not have a vehicle. Family was living in the hotel where mom worked. However, they are moving into a new townhome several miles away. Assistance with a bus pass will provide the transportation mom needs to remain employed and the bunk bed will help to provide a safe adequate living environment to prevent the child from entering the foster care system.

Single mother of a 1year old female child recently moved into a home. Mother is employed however, she does not make enough money to afford basic household items. The family needs pots, pans, silverware, eating utensils, towels, wash clothes, blankets, sheets pillows, pillow cases. Mother states she and her child are sleeping on an air mattress. She states if she had a queen bed and a toddler bed, it would be more suitable as the air mattress deflates during the night. Due to her move she is no longer close to her job. She does not have a car. Client is asking for a bus pass for a month which will allow her to save to purchase her own bus pass next month. Updated on May 02, 2022 by an Agency Worker
