I am writing on behalf of a family who receives services from our food pantry and is currently in need of a window air conditioner unit.

The family lives in a duplex with their two-year-old child, and the mother is 22 weeks pregnant. As temperatures have continued to rise, traditional window fans are no longer providing sufficient relief—especially for the young child and expectant mother.

To ensure their health and well-being during this extreme heat, they are kindly requesting assistance in obtaining a window air conditioning unit. Link provided

The mother in this case is doing really well and is starting to get more visitation/overnight visits with her son. The mother has a bassinet and pack'n'play for the baby but could really benefit from a crib as the child grows bigger.

A single mother to a 10-year old son currently facing financial and personal hardship. The mother is unemployed at this time to prioritize her mental health and work through ongoing recovery from substance abuse. She is proud to share that she has receiving her pin for achieving her 1 year of sobriety the beginning of this month. Recently, an unexpected issue occurred when her son's mattress was infested with bed bugs. To prevent further infestation throughout their unit, she immediately disposed of the mattress. Unfortunately, she is not in a financial position to replace the bed on her own at this time. She is kindly asking for assistance in the form of donated box spring and mattress for her son. She is open to either a twin or full sized mattress/bed frame, whichever is available first.

The father of a 6 year old girl is currently receiving services from our agency. He is homeless and is working to create stability for himself so that he can sign up for classes at Santa Rosa Jr. College (already being paid for by 2nd Chance Program). He is currently "couch surfing" and having a difficult time because he lost his phone charger, so is frequently missing important calls and having a difficult time keeping in contact with his probation officer, the social worker, and other service providers and his daughter. A phone charger (USB-C) and a small portable battery pack so he can recharge on the go would be really helpful for him so that he can have reliable communication with these different providers. The Department is working with a father with a 2-year-old daughter. He is currently in need of financial assistance with size 4 diapers and unscented baby wipes. The father is currently working full-time and going to school but is struggling with this expense due to recently taking on his daughter full-time. Assistance with this need so that this father can keep his child in home and focus on her needs and this case is greatly appreciated!

Kristy Crill of The Dive and a fellow member of CCA connected me with a woman and her adult age special needs son who left a DV relationship in the beginning of this year and accepted a new job here in Savannah as a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with an expected start date of June 23. She and her son have been staying at an extended stay hotel and have exhausted their funds on food lodging and transportation. Her car broke and she relies on uber to get to and from work. This woman is looking for a one week hotel stay down in Richmond Hill near her new job. She is also in need of your prayers.

Single mom with two children facing eviction if she doesn't get help with her rent. Children out of school, and challenges with child care, caused her to miss work. She only has half of her rent. She needs to help with $600 which is the the other half of the rent and late charges. The children will be going to summer camp in July allowing mom to get back to her normal working hours.

Hey team, we have a family in our church that serves as a foster family. The birth mom for the child is in need of a convertible car seat so they can have the child for visitation. This would meet a huge need for this mom and child and serve the foster family as well. If you happen to have one in good condition that you could give her that is great or here is an option if you would be available and willing to purchase one. A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed (frame, mattress, and box springs) plus bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.
