Single mom of 2 needing assistance with past due rent in order to keep her home. This mom has always maintained full time employment, but due to a back injury flare up, has been out of work. This mom continues to work her hardest to provide for her family, which includes a son who has Autism that has appointments that she also maintains. This mom is working closely with a doctor to find a pain management remedy that will take her off work restrictions and allow her to work full time once again. Her employer is holding her job while she works on this. This mom does a great job managing the stress of being a single mom, and needs a little help with this financial burden while she works on healing herself. This youth is a client of Regional Center living independently for the first time in his life. This youth has faced tremendous challenges, including the death of his mother a few years ago, and his father's paralysis. He has been in the system for many years, but he has finally managed to earn his high school diploma and obtain housing. He is currently searching for employment and working on removing barriers in his life to do so.

This youth needs support with basic household necessities, including toiletries, bath mats, and curtains.

A 17-year-old foster youth, a recent immigrant and primarily Spanish-speaking, has found comfort and joy in reading as she adjusts to a new country and language. Her favorite hobby is reading young adult fiction—especially in Spanish, which helps her feel connected to her roots while continuing to grow.

She is hoping to receive a Kindle and an Amazon gift card so she can access books in her native language and continue exploring stories that inspire and empower her.

This small gesture would mean so much to her, offering both comfort and a creative outlet as she builds a new life here. Thank you for considering this heartfelt request.

The mother is in need of grocery assistance for herself and her children. She expressed that the children are home for the summer and, as a result, are eating more than usual since they are not receiving meals at school. The mother is currently unemployed and experiencing financial hardship, making it difficult to meet the increased household food needs.

A group of single moms are invited to get together and meet other ladies in the church. We would like to cover the cost of their ice-cream for this event.

We have been connected to a family who is fostering through DHHS. This foster family has placement of 3 little children (ages from 4-8) that they are in the process of adopting. They had their washing machine and air conditioning break down in the same week and only had the funds to replace one, so they prioritized the air conditioning for the summer heat wave we had this past week. The family had a high capacity 5.3 cu-ft top-load washing machine to be able to meet with laundry demands of their family and would like their replacement to have a similar capacity and similarly top-loading. The youngest child has some higher needs and frequently wets the bed which requires regular use of a washing machine for larger bedding items. The family consulted a technician who reported the costs of the repair for the washing machine would be at least $800 and the technician recommended buying a new one over paying for repairs. The listed cost is for a 5.3 cu-ft top-load with delivery from Lowe's.

A mom and her five children urgently need to relocate due to an escalating domestic violence situation. After leaving an abusive relationship four years ago and working hard to build a stable life, her safety has once again been compromised. She has made the decision to move to another state where she has supportive family and has already secured permission to transfer her housing voucher and end her current lease. The family would like to rent a U-haul to transport their household to their new location.A quote for the U-haul has been acquired and totals: $1,375.97 Gift cards to Walmart or Amazon ($300) would also be helpful in setting up their new home once they arrive.
