Story
Referral family resides in a multi-family home owned by a family member who does not attend to cat urine in the main portion of the home. Bedrooms where referral family spend their time, when home, have an order of urine and stagnant air but not to the degree that warrants department intervention. Referral family has tried to move but is limited by finances and availability of subsidized/low-income housing. Family member who owns the home has refused to remove the cats from the home nor address the intense cat urine/ammonia odor in the front room of referral property. Request is for two air purifiers, one for referral parents' bedroom and one for the children's bedroom, a vacuum, and new area rug approximately 5x7 feet in size and length. Receipt of these items will greatly influence the degree that children are exposed to odors associated to animals and other stagnant smells in the areas where referral family reside.
