This is a request that is just specific for Anchor. Rex from our CarePortal Team at Anchor Lincoln picked up a mom for an Uber ride and she requested to go to TRM. It turns out that she is fleeing a domestic violence situation with her 8 year old daughter. She was at the end of her hotel stay but when trying to get into Tacoma Rescue Mission, it became clear that they didn't have space for them. Rex prayerfully brought them back to the hotel and paid for a couple of nights so they're safe right now. We're trying to see if there is a shelter that they could get it into but for the time being, we're trying to buy them time at the hotel. If you're able to contribute towards this need that our own church members came across, please do. Rex and I (Brandon) will go help this family and pay for the hotel with whatever our team is able to contribute. A single mom with two children one with asthma have had their electric turned off for over a week. They have an appointment to try and get assistance but they have been told they have the back charges paid off. This mom has been struggling for awhile. She has been fighting with her rental company because their is mold in the apartment and it is affecting her child's asthma. Now with no air conditioning and the heat her child's asthma is even worse. They are not fixing it. Was trying to get her kids in a summer program so she could work but the one they got into had some problems and they couldn't go to camp for awhile. With everything this family has been going through they really just need help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The caregiver/maternal aunt recently obtained legal guardianship of the children after the tragic loss of their mother, following a murder-suicide committed by the younger child's father. The caregiver has expressed that the children are in need of clothing and shoes, as well as bunkbed in order for the children to have their own space in her home. These items will not bring their mother back, but it will assist with the healing process and ensuring the children are comfortable in their new normal.

16 year old youth has a hard time making friends and is introverted. In an effort to boost his confidence and self-esteem, we are requesting assistance with clothes, shoes, underwear and socks. Youth is growing rapidly out of his current wardrobe and caregiver, a non-related extended family member, has limited resources and cannot afford to purchase new clothes for youth at this time. We are reaching out on behalf of a dedicated mother and her three children who are currently facing financial hardship. The mother is struggling with a domestic violent relationship which resulted in her and the children being stranded in another state. This cause the mother to use half of her rent money to be able to get back home safely. Any help would be appreciated. The amount asked is a lot and if only a small part can be helped with that is okay. Anything helps!

Pregnant mom of 4 made a life-affirming choice even when facing heavy challenges. She is currently unemployed, caring for her three children and the 4th which she is carrying early in pregnancy. The father of the baby is out of country and is unable to provide financial assistance at this time. Her most urgent need right now is rent which is 1,200. Mom is humbly requesting assistance with rent. Any amount toward the total due would be make a difference. Mom is a prenatal patient at Aid to Women Center Pregnancy Center.

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.

A family recently had to flee their family home and move into an apartment to escape domestic violence. They are starting over and need basic cleaning items, household items, toiletries, and grocery items. A Walmart gift card would greatly assist this family. Any donation is appreciated.

Single mother is in the process of moving into more affordable housing and working to improve her financial situation. She is experiencing major health issues which make it difficult for her to work and support her middle school aged daughter. She could use some help with some utility bills this month.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!
