This mother and her children have been associated with WRPC for many years. She is leaving an unsafe situation and needs help to cover legal fees. Her 9 year old daughter and just turned 18 daughter live together in the residence that they will need to leave. Mom has obtained a restraining order and is working with the Branch House Family Justice Center. She has been advised by social services that Legal Aid is not the way to go because there is a waiting list and with a child involved it is more difficult for anyone to pick up the case. Any amount will help!

Single working mom with 3 kids ages 14, 10 and 3 1/2 years old is in desperate need of temporary assistance to prevent eviction. She has previously experienced homelessness with her three minor children and is fearful of this happening again just as she was able to begin to feel secure in her new place over the past 6 months. Through no fault of her own, there was a break in pay the first week in July causing her to fall behind. The leasing company is very strict and threatening to begin eviction process, even though she has said she will have the money by the last week of this month, they want it now! The total amount needed is $2,150. Please help keep this family together in their home. Because she is gainfully employed, she will not have any problems going forward. A single mother that was recently reunified with her 2 children, a one-year-old girl and an 8 year old boy, is struggling financially. The mother's job has decreased the amount of hours that she is given and she is currently looking for a second job, as well as the 1 year old child's over the counter Medicaid benefit is currently inaccessible which is how the mother typically purchases diapers and wipes. The mother is also struggling with the Food Stamp process and the father of the children is between jobs and unable to help, therefore groceries would be helpful as well. The family is struggling to pay rent and utilities; however, they are blessed to have an understanding landlord.

In the midst of her hardships, she believed she couldn't continue her pregnancy, but has since chosen life for her baby, a decision she made with love, courage, and hope for the future. Despite all the challenges she faces, she remains strong and focused on creating a better future for her children. Any support toward this deposit would help her take the next step in rebuilding her life.

Recently, her work hours were temporarily reduced, creating financial hardship. She needs $450 to cover rent and utilities to keep her family together and safe. Your support will help prevent homelessness and provide hope during this critical time.

A family I am working with recently learned that the child they were fostering for a short-term period will be staying in their home on a more long-term basis. The foster family was not equipped to care for this child long-term and will need some assistance obtaining a new car seat for their three year old foster son. The car seat the child came with is in very poor shape and is set to expire soon.

The family is interested in the below car seat as it will be able to grow with the child and can be used throughout the time he is placed in their home.

A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.
