Story
Single mother of 4, ranging from 13 - 3 months, Mom fled an abusive marriage and relocated to Clearwater Fla. When a hurricane forced a mandatory evacuation, she packed only basic clothing and food, seeking shelter in So Fla. Just before Helene hit, mom received a 3 day eviction notice for unpaid rent in Sept. After the birth of her youngest child, she was unable to return to work as planned. While traveling to so Fla her transmission failed leaving her and the kids stranded. The police arranged for a 10 day stay in hotel and Heroes Hub transferred her to Broward due to lack of resources in Palm Beach for immediate assistance. Her life has been marked by instability, she was adopted out of foster care only to be put back into the system. With no family to help her she is entirely on her own. Her landlord as agreed to reverse the eviction if she can pay the overdue rent and court filing fees. She is without resources and only has the clothes on her back. The best option is for her to return to Clearwater where her home remains an option for her and she is scheduled to return to work. Heroes Hub has vetted her situation and will provide housing at the Budgetel Motel as well as essentials and food until she can be transferred back. We will also cover bus tickets for her and the children. We are seeking assistance to help cover her rent so she can regain stability and return to her home. Her total amount owed to date is $3640 Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
