Story
It was reported to me as the Social Worker that a student broke his glasses in class and they needed to be replace. Upon calling Mom to ask about the glasses to try an assist and give direction I discovered that Mom stated she received an Eviction notice to vacant her apartment. Mom stated, "I have been unemployed most of the year due to medical and other personal issues, but I was hoping they would wait until I get my income taxes." Mom has several student in the district and has never ask for assistance for anything. I really believe that she is truly trying and just hit some unfortunate areas in her life at this time. She seemed very humble and ashamed, but yet desperate on the phone. She is behind $1500.00, but has $400.00 to pay on it. She is asking for any assistance until she can get her taxes and try to avoid being put out of her home. She has no money to find another place at the present time.
