A devoted and compassionate caregiver has opened her heart and home in an extraordinary way—adopting one of her cousins and taking legal custody of her two nieces and four other cousins. As a single caregiver, she is working tirelessly to provide a safe, stable, and loving environment for the seven children in her care.

Recently, she learned that she has a past-due balance on her electric and gas bills, stemming from her previous residence—an issue she was unaware of. Now on a fixed income and in the process of applying for benefits to support the children, she is struggling to get caught up while still meeting the daily needs of her family.

She is reaching out not out of want, but out of necessity—for a helping hand during a time when every bit of support matters. Helping her with these essential utilities means keeping the lights on, the home warm, and the environment safe and comfortable for the children who are depending on her.

We have a great foster family that currently has placement of two different children. Foster mom recently lost her wallet, which included her foster care payment card. She uses this for gasoline so she can transport her children to various appointments and needs. The family needs assistance with transportation from this. Worker can provide more information as to how to assist if needed.

This courageous mother has faced and conquered domestic violence, mental health struggles for herself and her children, and the hardships of being without a home. DSS is reaching out for community support to provide gently used household items. This family is embarking on a new beginning and starts with nothing. They require essential household items to create a warm and welcoming home. Items such as couches, beds, linens, bath towels, dressers, hangers, pots, pans, forks, spoons, curtains, lamps, TVs, cleaning supplies, mops, brooms, and toys for the children are all vital for building a nurturing environment. I have a mother to two boys who is wanting to get her driver's license! This young woman has never had a driver's license and identifies this as a barrier, because she does not have reliable supports that can always get her to and from her important places. This young woman is wanting to go through driver's education, as she has never really had any experience in driving. Any support in making this happen will be extremely appreciated!

We have a large family with 8 children that have been homeless for some time. They are now in our program but unfortunately none of the kids have clothing only what's on their backs. The smell is awful even though we tried to wash the clothes. They all need new clothes so if anyone can help in any way..please let us know. Thank you all for your prayers

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items. A family of Seven is facing severe financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet despite ongoing efforts to find employment. Known in their community for giving back, volunteering and supporting the homeless, they now find themselves in urgent need. With rent due, utilities needed, and food scarce, their greatest concern is keeping a safe, stable home for their children- especially their youngest, just one year old.They are humbly asking for rent assistance , help with FPL bill, and food support to ensure their family remains housed and their children cared for as they navigate to bring stable income.
